The Wirral Country Way: After much indulgence over the festive period we decided to stretch our legs a little. Starting off from Willaston we walked the Wirral Country Way to Neston. Considering the bad weather the rest of the country has been having, we were very lucky. A great day out and gorgeous weather.
I have started playing with the video features on my iPhone 5. These are not the full 1080p version, but it is 720. Whilst not perfect, it is a great point and shoot little video camera and with plenty of light and not too many pans, really does produce some fantastic images. I bought iMovies app an was very impressed with its ease of use and had great fun putting the video together. The music is from the YouTube audio library and copyright free. It was a beautiful day out and I had initially gone on this walk to try out a new pair of walking boots, as well as to take my dog, Mac, for a nice long walk. Hope you enjoy the short video. 😊
Forever tinkering with photo apps on my iPhone, I noticed that a new feature had been introduced in an upgrade to Snapseed. The is called HDR Scape and these images were taken on our walk up Waun Y Llyn (Hope Mountain) and then edited later on.
I wanted to put a poppy on an existing profile image for Remembrance Day. It didn't work! So I started tinkering with a photo I had taken. This was not the final one that I used because I didn't think it worked as a thumbnail. However, this is one of the images from the development process, that I quite liked. Apps used: TangledFX, Snapseed, Photoshop Touch and Mextures! There was plenty of playing with various blending modes.
The Ruin: Discovered this abandoned cottage on one of my walks with Mac. I had a play with the photo in Snapseed, Repix and Mextures afterwards.
The beginning of the Autumnal Colours.
A Sunday on Black Mountain Middle of September and the weather too gorgeous not to go out for a nice long walk. So Mac and I went to Black Mountain (Coed Nercwys). First shot has no post production, not even cropping, the second has Snapseed and Mextures added afterwards.
Autumnal Wandering's: A selection of images taken around Waun Y Llyn (Hope Mountain) Country Park in Flintshire, North Wales. All shot on my iPhone 5 and then post production by taking them through various apps such as Snapseed, TangledFX, DistressedFX, Mextures and PhotoShop Touch.
Self Portait: I'm forever experimenting with getting to know the apps I have on my phone. So this wasn't because I wanted to take a photo of myself, just that I was a handy subject! 😊 This went back and forth in Snapseed and PhotoShop Touch. I added Drama in Snapseed, air sprayed around to get rid of unwanted background in PhotoShop Touch. Then I created a Portrait HD version and brought that layer back into PhotoShop Touch. On one of the copied layers I added a little Acrylic Paint filter and then played with the blending mode between this and the Portraid HD version. I finally took the image into Mextures, applied Viva La Grunge filter, and in Blending Modes applied Screen.
Looking DistressedFX II Playing about with harsher lighting and darker shadows. Seem to be getting interesting results when applying the various apps.
Looking DistressedFX Another play using a combination of apps at different settings. These were Snapseed, TangledFX, DistressedFX, Mextures and PhotoShop Touch.
More adventures of Mac. Some photos revisited from our recent holiday with friends and a few on a visit to my parents. All tinkered about with this evening using combinations of TangledFX, Snapseed, Portrait HD and PhotoShop Touch.
Let sleeping dogs... Be filtered like crazy! This is a combination of Snapseed, TangledFX, DistressedFX and Mextures!
Watching a sunset: Gorgeous evening, chilling listening to an audiobook watching the sunset with Mac. So I took the picture of the sky, then noticed how the colour of the sunset reflected on Mac. Both images were then taken through Photoshop Touch, Snapseed and then TangledFX.
Bohemian Like You! Went to a lovely wine bar with low lighting, old world cinema posters on the wall, candlelight and lovely atmosphere with some friends from work. Took a nice shot that just worked when put through the app on my phone, TangledFX.
