The popularity of superhero Saturday morning cartoons was portayed by Wood as metaphorically running other cartoons out of town. Eventually Marvel cartoons would be run out themselves by parent groups who pressured networks to put on less violent cartoons. Of course the Mouse is the last one standing because Mickey owns them all now.
