Castle on an island, Ireland.

Marijuana stops childâs severe seizures
*gently places this here and waits for someone to take it and get all self righteous-y knowing and freak the fuck out over it.*
This is fantastic. There's a lot of controversy about how a great portion of medical marijuana users are people with mild to moderate mood disorders or anxiety but seeing stories like this really remind me (and I hope others) that medical marijuana is a great thing. And a lot of people don't realize that medical marijuana can and should be bred differently than recreational marijuana, for its medical properties rather than its psychoactive ones. If they realized that then they'd be so much more open to it.
Thinking about that earlier post dealing with the US and genocide. Denying genocide is something powerful countries always do. Japan has Nanking. Australia has the Aboriginals. Turkey has Armenia. Russia has the Holodomor. The list goes on... and on.. and on. It's easy to deny it when you're in power. But when it happens in poor countries like Rwanda the powerful countries intervene just when its too late and make a show about how "barbarous" the people are when its white people who created fucked up situations there in the first place. Denial of genocide is why genocide is occurring right now.
From Being Liberal on Facebook.
i wonder how many gallons of milk oscar grant is worth? 3? 4? 10? 10 is enough, right? no, true. thatâs insulting. okay⊠100 gallons? no? shit. well. hm. are 1000 hand delivered milks enough to balance out being shot while innocent and pinned to the ground on your face? no? noâŠi guess thatâs silly. 1000 gallons of milk for a life? iâm sorry. that was rude. letâsâŠletâs make it an even million. one million gallons of milk for an innocent life, and itâs even. one million gallons of milk and weâll let that one go. what? really??? come on! i meanâŠokay. true. how about ten million, then? ten million gallons of milk to jam you up you with a broken toilet plunger, like Abner Louima? thatâs fair, right?Â
okay. whew. done with that one! you drive a tough bargain, freedom cops! butâŠwhat about Amadou Diallo? damn. and how many tons of milk do we deliver for the assassination of the Black Panthers by the US government via police? did you bring enough cows? are they healthy? i mean, how many swollen cow udders will buoy up the mothers of millions of black and brown boys shuffled into prison even while the courts and cops knew they were acting on hate? i donât think those two gallons are gonna do it, bro.Â
Yeah, what the heck about this means that we arenât living in a racist police state?  Just because an individual police officer occasionally is nice to someone doesnât mean anything.
Side note, look at his scowling face. Â I just find it funny that this angry face cop is now the police posterboy for Being Liberal. HAH.
The value of the minimum wage is LOWER than it was in the 1960âs.
Remember this next time someone tries to say those pushing for a higher minimum wage are âwhinyâ or âentitledâ.
cost of living goes upâŠ. while wages literally go down.
Mind-bogglingly insane.
If you argue against raising the minimum wage, you are literally arguing that some workers do not deserve to live out of poverty, despite having jobs.
No other way around it.
And if thatâs your argument, donât you ever dare say a word about people needing to work harder.
Iâm very freaking aware that T will make me look male. Iâm very certain that I want top surgery and very aware that once it has been improved upon, bottom surgery. I am a GUY who happens to be genderqueer as well. Iâm not just genderqueer. There is a fucking difference.
I hate that people automatically think that when you say you are genderqueer it means you want to be androgynous⊠as a transmasculine genderqueer its really fucking annoying⊠I mean I donât feel like either but from the very beginning I knew I wanted to be on T and I wanted to get top surgeryâŠ. Many binary trans peeps act like every genderqueer person doesnât know what the fuck they are doing.
Wow that was tremendously rude of them. Â Iâm sorry people were doing that.
Also that whole âgoing through HRT is supposed to make you look male, not somewhere in betweenâ is such BS. Â Iâm genderqueer and Iâm going to be on HRT however heck long I want to be. Â I know I canât control the effects and I accept that, but just because I donât want to look 100% male doesnât mean I shouldnât have access to it. Â I know what Iâm doing, you know what youâre doing, and itâs fucked up that even other trans people act like we canât understand what HRT does just because weâre non-binary.
Why do you always talk about all the bad things that Americans do? Why can't you talk about some of the good things? You always seem like such a Debby Downer on America. I'm a liberal and I'm as "Merica"-esque as most conservatives (minus the bigotry and guns). Yes this country has some problems, but there is a lot of good, too. A little blind patriotism never hurt anyone.

Get the fuck out of here, youâre exactly the reason the word âliberalâ in the context of US politics makes me want to vomit.Â
Reminder that this is equally relevant to Britain and France, and that's just to name the obvious two.
The truth about this whole Julie Gunn mess. PLEASE REBLOG
Letâs talk about something here, please?
So Iâm 100% sure you guys have knowledge of that whole drama thatâs been going on about this one story of Julia Gunn and her supposed suicide. WellâŠletâs think about that. Seems legit cause Justinâs an asshole and âeven if it isnât true, letâs hate on him cause weâre all fucking sure he would definitely do that anywaysâ right? WRONG. First of all, letâs look at the picture of the supposed suicidal girl, shall we?
Julie Gunn, right?
Killed herself after Justin allegedly called her a âBeached Whaleâ and told her she should be on âthe biggest loserâ. Okay. WellâŠhaving done my research, there were actually A LOT of eyewitnesses that claimed this was not true. (yet, you delusional idiots chose to believe this. âA National Report.net story stating a girl killed herself over Bieber is a satirical post and not a factual one, which is why it is not carried by any news outlets" http://www.inquisitr.com/1063213/justin-bieber-beached-whale-claim-further-discredited/)
Anyways, moving on.
This girl, Dore Larking, was the only girl that Justin talked to, according to eyewitnesses and sources from Justinâs team:
"An eyewitness at the pool said there was a fan that was trying to get into Justinâs VIP pool area where he was hanging with his entire entourage, the girl tried to get close to Bieber but his bodyguards turned the girl away. Other than this dissed fan, the eyewitness told us Bieber stuck to his entourage and didnât really wanna interact with anyone but a blonde girl he was photographed quayside flirting with" - HollyScoop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dzwUXX78IQ
So basically according to this, people believe that there was never really any confrontation between Justin and a fan, much less any with him calling anyone a beached whale. (And take into account that this isnât a âsatiricalâ site.) Most probably a story made up by a fan who was angry.
In addition, other than the already popular insult Justin allegedly threw at the girl (âbeached whaleâ, and âyou should be in the biggest loserâ, if you donât recall),
"A second, unnamed witness subsequently quoted by News.com.au, alleged Justin made a gesture with his hands âto imitate a large belly as he spoke to the long-haired girl.â
Notably, Robinett [the individual who started the whole story] didnât mention this alleged gesture to News.com.au in her original account.
In a later radio interview Robinett added another alleged âdetail,â claiming Bieber cursed at the girl by the pool â repeatedly.
The second, unnamed witness didnât recall any profanity whatsoever.
-Â http://www.inquisitr.com/1063213/justin-bieber-beached-whale-claim-further-discredited/#BA25oI80eA5bpvoW.99â
So to sum it up, this story doesnât really connect. Robinett is saying one story, while the second eyewitness is saying another. If this wasnât about Justin, you wouldâve already figured it was fake. But of course, âJustin is an asshole so I doubt he didnât do thisâ. ha ha ha ha HA HA.
If that doesnât already tell you this whole thing is fake, this should.
Bringing this back againâŠ
Doesnât she look like her?
Red hair, same body structure, same face structureâŠ.I hope you get what iâm getting at here.
Thereâs evidence that this girl is not in fact Julie Gunn. Her name is Cherries and she is a BBW model
This should probably tell you that this is in fact a lie.
To prove it, here are her sites
Tumblr:Â http://chubbycherries.tumblr.com/tagged/me/page/2
Twitter:Â https://twitter.com/Cherriies
Official Site (I think?):Â http://www.bigcuties.com/cherries/
Still think this is true?
You can fight, be a dumbass and say Justin is an asshole all you fucking want, but to be so ready to blame him for something that didnât happenâŠthere must be something wrong with you.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, cause honestly this is all just such bullshit.
I was really skeptical when I couldn't find any articles on legitimate sites (especially no Australian news) but it seems that this is definitely not a real story. I really wouldn't put it past Justin Bieber but making up a story like this is disgusting (for the girl's sake, not that twerp).
Obamacare vs. Philippines Typhoon: how cable news covered two big stories
Iâm going to say my honest opinion that I donât support abortion at all. I donât think there is one reason why you should kill something so beautiful. 1) you canât support yourself: my mom had 3 kids and my dad got arrested. She didnât go to college and barely graduated. You can do it. Itâs hard but it was your decision to have sex in the first place. 2) you were raped: this is a very terrible thing but itâs not the babyâs fault. The baby is not a rapist. If you donât want it give it up for adoption. And if your traumatized for having a âmonsterâ baby then go to counseling. 3) your too young: THEN DONT HAVE SEX. 4) incest: go back to number 2. Anymore reasons list them and I can think of many solutions.
1) Your mother might have been poor with raising 3 children (mine was too), but Iâm willing to bet it was her choice to remain pregnant and parent you all. Her choice is not the best choice for everyone. Yes, abortion can be selfish in a way, but so is parenting and so is adopting. They are all uniquely selfish, and what one person chooses is not necessarily right for the next.
2) Rape victims who become pregnant and are denied abortion generally commit suicide long before viability. So congrats, you cost the survivor of a violent assault by denying them the same right their rapist denied them (Hope you feel super good about yourself)
3)Married people, young people, older people all have abortions. The youngest recorded pregnancy happened to a five year old and she was denied abortion. The event was severely traumatising, both mentally and physically for her. It was a miracle she survived. Others are not so lucky, so shut your mouth, risk of dying in labour is increased when youâre too young.
4) Incest increases the likelyhood of severe abnormalities.
You want to give solutions? Hereâs a list of things adoption and âjust donât have sexâ wonât fix:
Cancer, ectopic pregnancies, HRT, abusive relationship, spine/heart developing outside the body, fetal death, suicide/suicidal threats if abortion is denied. Those all require immediate abortions in order to save the pregnant persons life/mental health.
now finally 5) No one, not you, not me, not a fetus, has the right to use a persons body without that persons continuous consent even to preserve our own lives. Abortion is not âa right to killâ, itâs a right to deny consent to the use of your internal organs.
OP is quite naive about the real world. Everything sounds so easy to you but its not. Really don't think you should be saying that rape victims should just suck it up until you've been put in that place yourself.
The World's Strictest Parents - Barbados
I think this is a television series or something. Anyway, I was bored so I watched it instead of studying for finals.
It bothered me a lot how it seemed to be implied that everything was the fault of the kids when in actuality the parents were shitty. It was clear that they love their kids and work hard. It's not easy being a single parent who has to support a kid but the whole premise of the show implies that it's the kids who need to be fixed, not the parents. It appeared that the experience helped the kids but it would have been a lot more effective if they did something with the parents too. The reason the kids of the home stay parents actually behaved was because their parents were doing it right, not because they were better kids.

THIS IS WHAT A WORLD LEADER LOOKS LIKE. Â
DESMOND TUTU, I OFFICIALLY LOVE YOU.
   -MICHAEL STIPE Â
"I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven. No, I would say sorry, I mean I would much rather go to the other place," Archbishop Tutu said at the launch of the Free and Equal campaign in Cape Town.
"I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this."
Archbishop Tutu said the campaign against homophobia was similar to the campaign waged against racism in South Africa.
"I am as passionate about this campaign as I ever was about apartheid. For me, it is at the same level," he added.
[source: BBC News]
oh my fucking wow. I just love how he calls attention to the hypocrisy.
And stood up to it.
YESYESYESYES!!!!
I don't really know how I feel at the moment. Probably sad. Today three rescue puppies died and I learned that two people (who I had never met, but knew of) have relapsed. Puppies I never met and people I never met and probably never will. But still it's crushing.
One of these people is a boy just turned eight. In less than two years he has survived aml twice but less than 100 days into a bmt they've found tumors in his jaw bone and the prognosis is terminal. The other is a college student like myself with nhl and if her procedure is not a success (it has only a 50% chance) than that's it and there's nothing more they can do. And when I walk into the bathroom there are girls chatting about their sororities and pointless things and I just don't understand how they can be so carefree when there's an eight year old boy with so many hopes and dreams whose going to die and someone our age who might die too.
Death is that which completes us. It's the only thing we know for certain will happen and yet we do not know when it will happen. I just find it so cruel that young people must try to make the most of their last days knowing that it will be soon. You and I could die tomorrow but we could live a hundred more years. Knowing that you will die soon, we don't know what that feels like.
So many of my peers are pre med but I can count on my hand how many of them want to be doctors because they're passionate about medicine and helping people. The others... there are so many of them who only care about success and money. And I want to shake them and slap them in the face. Of course doctors are wonderful but med schools receive so many applications and reject so many. Why, why don't you live your lives loving what you love? Why waste your time with something you don't love for a future you don't know you'll have. I don't know who said it but someone said "dream like you'll live forever and live like you'll die tomorrow". I don't know why people these days don't listen to that.
I don't think children with cancer are stronger in spirit and that's why they get it. Children are strong in spirit and they haven't been taught to suffocate their dreams yet. And when they're told they'll die, or that they might die, even if they don't understand the full morbidity of death, they make the most of life because they know it's precious.
It makes me mad that people don't see how precious life is. How they waste it doing things they hate. They don't dream and the live like they'll live forever. Death is that which completes us. "There is only one god and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: Not today." We live our entire lives fighting death, which in the end will catch up with us. Death will win the race, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy the race. We shouldn't let society stifle us. We should be happy. We should live.
Evolution is taught in nearly every school throughout the country. Itâs accepted as fact by scientist, teachers, and, consequently, students. But do we ever stop to think of the validity of what weâre claiming as true? Do we accept evolution because everyone does, or can weâŠ
I am a Christian, and I actually think that the theory of evolution doesnât contradict whatâs in the Bible.
I know plenty of devout Christians who agree :) By no means do I wish to attack Christians or any faith or lack of faith. Simply people who do not accept evolution with nothing to support their claims (because there really doesn't exist anything to). My own faith, or lack of, has no place on this corner of the internet, but I realize it does for many.
