Y/n wasn’t a jealous person, she never had been and the boys knew that, but the last week had been hard for her with so many new vampires.
Star and Michael had turned fully, as had Lucy for Max who forced Sam to turn into a half so with 3 new vampires, Max had demanded Star stay in the cave until they’re all under control. Michael didn’t like it that he only got to see her for a few hours a day but Lucy wouldn’t let him stay in the cave too, and now Star is a spoiled, bitchy, horny new vampire and spending her time flirting with the boys almost constantly.
She intervened often, sliding into David’s lap, or sitting beside Paul before Star could to keep her away from them but none of them seemed to notice her flirty behavior. Y/n had put up with it for an entire week before saying something to them while Star was with Michael and their reaction was Not appreciated.
‘So you think Star is in love with us?’ Paul asked, trying not to laugh but the stoner was barely capable of not laughing at things he didn’t think were funny, which left him snickering and trying to cover it up.
‘I didn’t say that, did I?! I said she’s being way too flirty for me to be comfortable and you don’t stop her! I walked in on her cuddled up to you on the couch last night, Dwayne! How do you think that makes me feel? Or that she always wants to ride with you like she did before?’ David rolled his eyes…he actually rolled his eyes!
‘She’s not used to the pull that the sun has to sleep on a full vampire, she crashes before we do, just like you will-‘
‘So that means she should be snuggled up to my mates and they should allow it?’ I snapped and David’s eyes hardened.
‘Watch it little girl. I’m still your Daddy and you will not talk back to me! I thought you weren’t the jealous type anyway.’
‘I’m not, unless you actually show me that I need to be! That I have something to worry about and you definitely have! There’s 4 of you and not a single one of you sees why I’m upset and that what she’s doing isn’t okay?!’ David clearly didn’t and Paul seemed to think it was a huge joke. I knew Dwayne didn’t like making me feel bad in anyway but he also didn’t seem to understand, Marko was the only one who had the nerve to look guilty.
‘I mean, it’s true that we haven’t spent much time with her the last week-‘
‘Because we have a baby vampire to deal with!’ David snapped back at him and Marko shut up immediately. ‘The one time we’re not spoiling you with attention and you decide to act like a brat, I should have expected this-‘
‘I am Not a brat!’ I snapped. I hate being called a brat, because I don’t act bratty, I never have, I always want my Daddy’s to be happy with me and be a good girl, being a brat doesn’t make me feel good.
‘Clearly You Are!’ David knew how much I hated to be called that but he didn’t seem to care tonight. ‘Your Daddies smother you with constant attention and when you’re a vampire, God knows when that will be, you’ll get the same treatment! But until then we need to make sure Star can survive on her own, and you need to drop this act!’ Everyone went silent, no one spoke again, Paul and Marko didn’t seem to know what to do and Dwayne had the audacity to glare at David, knowing how badly he had just fucked up. They knew I wanted to be a vampire but I hadn’t been ready yet and when I told them I was, suddenly they had 3 new ones to deal with and Max said I would have to wait a while, but David knows how I feel about him rushing me and making comments on it. I quickly decided that if he doesn’t understand bratty behavior, then I would have to show him.
‘You know what? You’re right, you need to take care of Star, I’m sure she will make a great mate for you since you don’t deserve to have to deal with such a huge brat. Good luck.’ I stood from the table I was sat on and turned, walking down the boardwalk between all the tourists in the direction of home.
‘Angel! Stop! Please don’t leave, you know how David is, he’s already stressed about Max forcing her on us, he just-‘ I cut Marko off quickly.
‘He needs to learn how not to take that out on me, because I won’t take it anymore. It’s not bratty to stand up for myself when I’m being treated wrong, and you guys are treating me wrong!’ I snapped and he looked saddened.
‘We have to help her Princess, we can’t just-‘
‘Helping her and letting her hang all over you like she did 2 nights ago is not the same thing Paul. You used to hate her and now you’re smoking and dancing with her while she openly flirts with you…maybe I am a little jealous but that’s only because you’ve shown me that you clearly enjoy her flirty behavior which is only okay when you’re flirting with someone you’re going to kill!’ My arm was grabbed and I was turned around to see Dwayne looking down at me, clearly upset.
‘Don’t go Babygirl, please? You have to know she doesn’t mean anything like that to us, we love you, we’re your Daddies for a reason-‘
‘Do you know that you and David have been so close to Star the last week that this is the first time you’ve called me Babygirl in 4 days…maybe it shouldn’t be a big deal but it feels like one, okay?! And David…I haven’t heard him call me Kitten in a week and when I finally broke down and got personal with you about something that’s making me uncomfortable (which you are the ones that tell me to do that), he calls me “Little Girl” and a Fucking Brat! He doesn’t love me anymore!’ The tears were now cascading down my face at a rapid pace and Marko moved to hold me close, trying to brush them away.
‘No Princess! Of course he does! David is just stubborn-‘
‘That’s right. He can be an idiot and forget about other people when he’s focused on something, you know that. It’s not right but he loves you-‘
‘He wanted her before.’ I stated, shrugging, Marko still with his arms around my waist from behind and his face in my neck. ‘He turned her because he liked her, he only stopped because she wouldn’t turn and she hated what he did to her! She’s a full vampire now, I think he’s just decided he wants her instead and I’m not going to stay and be a punching bag that he gets to call a brat whenever he hurts my feelings…I said I wanted to turn and then this shit happened! That’s Not My Fault-‘
‘No, it’s not!’ Dwayne insisted, hands holding my face up and forcing me to look at him. ‘He never should have said that, that was wrong of him and we all know it, and maybe we’ve been focusing too much on Star, Max is just coming down on us hard about it and it’s pissing David off. I think you telling him how you felt made him feel like you were telling him what to do as well which is wrong of him too. But you are wrong if you’re going to pretend that David still has feelings for Star. He doesn’t want her here any more than you do, he hates that she’s been forced on us and he loves you so much, more than any of us have ever seen David love anyone! Right?’ Paul nodded and I felt Marko do the same.
‘Even if that’s true, I can’t be around her acting like that to you all anymore, I’m going home.’ Dwayne and Paul’s eyes widened while Markos grip tightened around me.
‘We thought the cave was your home Princess…’
I shrugged, tears welling up again quickly. ‘I did too, but it feels uncomfortable now…I want my Daddies to love me like they did before Star came back a vampire but it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen…I love you but I can’t let myself be hurt anymore. You can force me to come back, of course, but I’ll just be unhappy…I need time to think. If David can’t take my feelings into account, or seriously at all then…then he can’t be my Daddy anymore and that hurts even more because I don’t know how I’m supposed to stay when he treats me like this and I don’t want to leave you but you haven’t been treating me right either-‘
‘Never again Angel! Fuck Star, you’re our priority!’ Marko swore and Paul nodded.
‘Fuck Yeah! If my Princess is uncomfortable with something then that thing stops.’ He kissed my head, holding my hand firmly and I could see how desperate he was for me to stay.
‘We will be more thoughtful, keep her at arms length like we should have from the start…please don’t leave Babygirl?’ I grabbed ahold of the back of his neck and pulled him to kiss me, happy that they have realized how hurt I am.
‘Please just…give me some time? I’m not leaving you and I appreciate the apologies, I forgive you Daddy…all of you. But I need to think about the David thing…I love you.’ I quickly kissed all of them before pulling their arms off of me.
‘At least let me give you a ride…Daddy needs to make sure you’re safe.’ Marko pleaded and I sighed, knowing I couldn’t deny him my safety. They may be the main reason people go missing but my Daddies aren’t the only threat in Santa Carla, which caused me to agree and for Marko and Paul to hold my hands as we walked back to the bikes.
‘Nice to see you’ve returned. Are you ready to apologize, Kitten?’ David questioned and I glared up at him instantly.
‘Don’t call me that! You are not allowed to call me that anymore! Take me home Marko.’ He helped me onto the bike and revved it quickly.
‘Marko! Don’t you dare, she is coming back to her real home. Stop being a brat Y/n, I’m really getting-‘
‘Shut up!’ Dwayne snapped, hissing at David who’s jaw dropped as did all of ours. ‘Take her home Marko. I’ll come check on you tomorrow night Babygirl.’ I nodded my head, holding onto my Daddy firmly and feeling his cold skin under my hands where his top exposed his stomach. As he moved I heard another bike start and saw Paul riding with us between tourists who jumped out of the way frantically.
‘I’m not getting in the middle of that!’ He cackled and I couldn’t help my smile at his enthusiastic manner. ‘Can we come see you tomorrow?’ Paul asked as they stopped the bikes beside my old house. I hadn’t been here for anything but picking up and washing my clothes in almost 2 months and it was a strange feeling.
‘If you promise not to pressure me into coming back before I’m ready…and you don’t bring David.’ I explained and he nodded quickly.
‘I’m so sorry you’ve been feeling like this and we didn’t even notice, but you need to know that we love you Angel…you know that, right?’ Marko, while being the most vicious of the boys when it comes to feeding, is also the most sensitive when it comes to my feelings.
‘I know you do, and I love you too, all of you, which is why David’s actions and words hurt me so badly. I get that both of you didn’t mean to make me feel bad, and I know Dwayne just got wrapped up in taking care of her. The fact that you all tried to understand when you saw how upset I am is what I needed and I love you for it.’ I kissed both of them quickly before walking up the porch to my door.
‘David loves you too…he’s just really shitty at showing it.’ Paul informed me and I sighed.
‘I know he loves me…I just think he loves Star more.’ With that I closed the door behind me, ignoring my mothers questions as I heard their bikes drive away and dragged myself up the stairs to my bed.
It was about 3 hours later and I was getting ready for bed, wiping off my makeup and changing into black and brown plaid short shorts and a tank top with little teddy bears on them. I desperately wanted to feel small but I wanted my Daddies to snuggle with and not having any of them right now was making me feel even worse.
I was tucked in and coloring in my book when there was suddenly a tap on my window and I huffed, knowing one of them couldn’t listen to me. As I got up and opened the curtain I saw a bleach blonde mullet outside my window and I groaned. ‘Please, just let me talk to you?’ His voice was slightly muffled and I opened the window, watching him climb in and sitting back on my bed, folding my arms. ‘Dwayne told me what you said…I want to ask how you could possibly think that I love Star but I know I made you feel ignored…I never meant to do that Y/n.’
I shrugged. ‘You’ve been spending all of your time with her, you haven’t wanted to be with me at all…barely even talked to me. Why do you want to be my Daddy if you don’t want to be around me? Me having feelings doesn’t make me a brat, and how dare you use my not having turned yet against me when I already told you I would and Max is the one who said “no”, screw you!’ I had tears leaking down my cheeks now and for the first time I actually saw a sorrowful look on my Daddy’s face.
‘I’m so sorry.’ My head snapped up and my jaw dropped a bit as I had never heard that word come from David’s mouth before. ‘I’m sorry that I called you a brat, you’re my sweet little girl and I should never treat you like that. Daddy knows you aren’t a brat, you were just upset and instead of comforting you, I made it worse because I was in a bad mood. Max has been pressuring me, and bitching about how I need to have her trained quickly and I shouldn’t be ignoring my mate just because I’m stressed out. I’m sorry I ever gave you a feeling of needing to be jealous, but Star means nothing to me. She annoys me and I’m trying to spend as much time training her as I can so she can get the fuck out of our home-‘
‘I don’t care if she’s around, I just don’t want her flirting with you and you allow it. I should be the only one flirting with my Daddies-‘
‘You’re right, I’m sending her back to Max later tonight as soon as the sun goes down, I’m not going to let her fuck my pack up…please give me another chance, Kitten?’ I whined as I heard the name I had been longing to hear.
‘I love you David, I love you so much and I want you to be my Daddy…I just need to know that you’re mine and only mine. I love that you came here, and I can’t tell you how much an apology from you means to me.’ I held his hand in mine like I always did, he knew I loved to just feel his skin on mine and he usually always allows me to hold his hand or fingers. ‘I forgive you, but I’m still staying here today. You need to go back to the cave now, the sun is coming up.’
He looked like it really bothered him, he doesn’t like it when I’m not at the cave, at home, where I’m safe and he knows he can protect me, and I know that. ‘Okay. If you’re staying then I am too.’ He stated and I felt my heart constrict.
‘You can’t! You’ll die-‘
‘I’m not leaving you unprotected Kitten, I won’t.’ The sun was coming up now and I could see out my window that it was coming quickly.
‘Please?’
‘It’s too late anyway Sweetheart. I’m stuck here, I won’t get back fast enough.’ I growled, jumping up and ripping the quilt off of my bed before running downstairs to get some nails and a hammer. I quickly began hanging it firmly as David moved to the side of the room, sun pouring in which made me move faster, using way more nails than I needed to be sure it wouldn’t be falling down.
‘You’re a jerk, couldn’t even give me one night alone.’ I groaned and he tilted his head, a knowing look on his face.
‘You wanted us here, and I know it. All you want when you’re upset is to be snuggled and loved on like a good little Kitten.’ I rolled my eyes, climbing into my bed after locking the door and making sure my mother couldn’t open it and let any sunlight in if she decided she wanted to be an asshole. ‘I really am sorry…please forgive me and let me be your Daddy again? I can’t live without you.’ He was sincere and that coming from David was almost jarring.
‘You will never stop being my Daddy, no matter what…but thank you.’ He held out his arms and I crawled into them, snuggling with him in the bed and preparing to be here the whole day, unwilling to leave my Daddy unprotected in this place. ‘First thing tonight, Star is gone.’ I warned and he nodded quickly.
‘100%, she will be Maxs problem again…I love you Kitten.’
The Lost Boys x Reader, who saves them with their blood
Marko
You heard some commotion from your nest. Getting used to the night life, it took you some time to wake up at the day. You rubbed your eyes and for the first couple of minutes decided that it was Laddie, who couldn't fall asleep.
But then you heard unfamiliar voices. So you decided to investigate. While you were searching for your jeans, you heard almost blood-curdling scream. You froze in your place, trying to calm your racing heart. After scream and couple others whines you heard growling. Your first terrified thought was: "Marko".
You dated for several months, but the fact that you were still human didn't change the strength of your relationship. You loved him so much that you begged all gods you heard about that it wasn't his scream.
You ran from your "room" and noticed couple of teenagers, running away. Not wasting another minute you darted to the sleeping cave. You knew how to crowl there - Marko took you there couple of times to show you their sleeping poses and to mess around with you. You were grabbed suddenly by your leg and squealed from the surprise.
- It's me! Y/N! - you blurted out and the grab weakened.
- Y/N... - you looked at David. He looked messed up and paler than usual (you didn't know it was possible), he was... Crying?
- What's happened? Is...
- No. He's wounded. They almost got the heart, - he answered quietly. Before you could answer anything, he helped you to the sleeping cave.
Even in darkness you noticed Marko, laying on the ground with a stake in his chest and Dwayne with Paul, trying to keep him awake. You ran to them, falling on the knees beside Marko and grabbing his hand.
- Oh my... There is so much... - you sobbed, looking around you. There was blood everywhere, but... - He's gonna be good, right? You told that they almost got the heart, but they didn't. So he'll be good!
- He lost too much blood. Maybe we could keep him up a little with Max's blood, but... - David shook his head. - Michael smashed the bottle.
- No... - you looked at them and then again at Marko, who smiled weakly at you. You could see the fear in his eyes. - We can, we have to do something!
- Blood is healing, - Dwayne said seriously. - Human blood, - you looked up at him. You understood perfectly what he meant by it So you moved closer to the wounded vampire, putting his head on your knees.
- No... I won't be... Able to... Stop... - he protested quietly but weak. You just wiped your own tears.
- Shut it, you're not the one to argue, - you panicked for a little bit, not knowing what to do, but David, remaining calm, at least visually, took your hand, pressing the wrist to Marko's lips.
For a second you thought nothing was going on, but then... You whimpered from sudden pain in your wrist. You shut your eyes, breathing slowly and looked at Marko again. He was drinking your blood with closed eyes himself. In a minute he grabbed your hand, not letting you go. You just cried silently, not looking at the others. You stroked his hair almost soothingly but weren't sure, who exactly you tried to calm down.
With time you felt weakness in your body. You wanted to keep your eyes closed all the time and you didn't have the strength to cry anymore. Only the sudden sound and growl made you winced again. They took the stake out of Marko's chest, now not afraid of him bleeding to death. For some time he still drank your blood, but suddenly almost pushed your hand away. You swayed a little, almost falling, but David caught you.
- Don't worry. You both are going to be ok now, - you looked at him tiredly, then at Marko, who was looking at you with worry. You managed to smile at him, and then you drifted off.
Paul
You didn't know what to do. Sam locked you in your room, claiming that it was for the better. You heard them talking about "killing the blonde one", that they needed to take care of the other ones and bring Michael back.
Slowly you connected the dots. You knew that your boyfriend and his "brothers" were vampires. Your relationships grew fast, too fast for your brothers' liking, but you didn't care. Paul made you laugh, Paul made you free, Paul kissed and held you like you were the most precious thing in the world. How could you not love him back? To hell with their prejudices!
If they killed the "blonde one", could it be?.. No, you refused to believe this.
When you heard the commotion downstairs and screams of Star, you jumped to your feet. You had to do something. You didn't want to choose between your family and love, but... You had to at least try to do something.
You tried to open the door, to kick it open, but you didn't have the strength. You suddenly heard the wood cracks and door was flung open. Before you stood David with his vampiric face. You slowly stepped back.
- I didn't know... - you said with trembling voice. He looked you up and down.
- I know, - he went off. You didn't question him, his priorities were always a mess for you. He wanted to hunt you? He thought you would fight your brothers? He wanted to use you against them? You didn't know and you didn't care.
- You killed Marko! - you heard the familiar growl and in a second you were running to the room. Paul, he was alive! But Marko, his closest friend was... No time to think. You almost got to the room, when you heard his scream. You didn't know what was going on, just saw... Nanook. Then...
Thrashing in the water and burning smell. You rushed into the bathroom. Two teenagers almost stopped you, but you pushed them away, locking the bathroom. Paul was wriggling and screaming in pain. "Holy water..." - you darted to him, trying to get him out.
You managed to do that only on the fifth try, falling with him on the floor. He still was thrashing around and whimpering.
- Paul, hey, hush, it's going to be okay... - you grabbed the towel, trying to get him dryer, wipe some of holy water off.
- It burns... It's everywhere... - he growled, and you looked at him with pity. His skin was in wounds, burnt and damaged, as if there were little holes in it. You sighed heavily, trying to stay calm yourself.
- It's gonna be okay, I'm with you, - you hugged him, trying to calm him down. He hid his face in your shoulder and shivered.
- I'm sorry, babe... - he whispered, but you didn't have the time to ask him. You just screamed shortly, as he bit you in the neck. He held you tightly and close to himself, not letting you go. You grabbed his shoulders, trying to push him away, but he was stronger. You shut your eyes, trembling yourself.
You didn't know how long it was, but your fingers were numb from your strong grip on Paul. Finally he pulled away, licking his lips, while you tried to calm yourself down and not to cry.
- Babe?.. shit, I'm sorry, - he looked at you and shook you a little. - Please, look at me! We almost lost Marko, I don't want to lose you. I'm sorry, I just...
- Don't... It's okay, - you nodded weakly. - There's first aid kit on the shelf. Give me that and let's go.
- You need to rest!
- We need to stop that before it's too late, - even after the bite, you weren't giving up that easily on anyone here. Paul kissed you on the forehead and stood up. You would sort it out.
Dwayne
Sadly, you always had been a heavy sleeper. So you didn't wake up when someone took you and carried you away. You didn't wake up in the car. You only woke up in... Emersons house. You were screaming at Michael and were angry, until you heard the news about Marko. He was like a little brother to you, and though you were still human (and these heroes thought they were saving you), the boys were your family.
Dwayne introduced you to this life, made you part of the coven without even fully turning you. And you were grateful to him for being patient with you, though both David and their sire pushed him to turn you. He waited. He waited for your first kiss, for your first time together. Now this.
You couldn't imagine, how hurt he was after all of this. And you couldn't believe Star did this so easily. Told them about their place of sleep, about how to turn back...
- It's for your own good. They just hypnotized you, that's it, - Michael tried to convince you, but were interrupted by the noise. The darkness slowly fell on Santa-Carla, so they were in for it.
You ran downstairs only to be met with everyone running away. You heard dog growling somewhere. Remembering that dogs hate vampires, you thought it could possibly hurt one of the boys. So you rushed there.
It took you some time to get the dog out of the house and lock the door, so when you returned back - there was no normal light, only strange red one. You noticed Dwayne fighting off Michael's brother. Deciding to help, you grabbed some broken pipe. Before you could do anything, Sam shoot an arrow that got right to Dwayne's chest.
- NO! - you swang at Sam and hit him in the head. Dropping the pipe, you ran to Dwayne. He was stuck to some system and you tried your best to get him free and not to hurt yourself in the process.
When he fell on you, you couldn't bear his weight. The other noices and screams from upstairs didn't matter anything to you now. You helped him to sit and worriedly look over him.
- Please, open your eyes... Dwayne, please.
- Princex... - you breathed the sigh of relief. - I'm okay.
- You are wounded! You need to heal... Here, - you moved him closer to your shoulder. He smiled at you and wanted to say something else. - No! Don't say anything! I want to help you, please...
He looked at you for a moment and then bit you. You hissed from the pain, but still sat on your place. You held him close, wanting to help him heal, so you didn't let him get away from you.
Though after couple of minutes he stopped and pulled away. You looked at him questionably.
- Why did you stop? I'm fine, please, you...
- I'm fine too. Trust me, you helped me, now I'm totally okay, see? - he moved his jacket to let you see his healing wound. - You saved me, darling. Let's get to the cave. David would deal with the rest. And Paul and Marko need a time-out.
- Marko's okay? - you asked, raising with him to your feet.
- Barely. But we all be fine now. Let's go.
David
You didn't know, at what speed you were driving. You just pushed the pedal to the floor and barely missed other cars and turns.
It was supposed to be a normal evening. You took some take-out, went to the cave. You wanted to kiss David, have fun with the boys, but... You were met with barely conscious Marko. He told you about what happened in the day, that they nearly killed him. And that the boys went to Emersons.
You understood that you weren't built for the fight, but you couldn't sit here and wait for the news. No, you just rushed to the house, worrying about everyone, but mostly, David, who brought love and new light in your life.
You barely stopped the car with screech of the tires. You ran out of it, running to the enter. David only ones took you here, to taunt Michael with the boys, so you knew where to drive, but you had never been inside.
You ran into the house and looked around. There was Dwayne in the corner, wounded, but still moving a little, he was alive. You looked at the side and...
- David?.. - Michael and Star turned to you, but your attention was tied to the person... Impaled on some kind of horns. - No, David! - you ran to him. Michael stopped you, but you were thrashing in his hands so much he had to let you go. Star took him away. You collapsed near David. He looked pale even for himself. He looked around but it seemed like he couldn't see you. You hugged him carefully and tried to get him off the horns. The response was his claws, digging into your back. You winced, but didn't stop, slowly releasing him from the impalement.
- Y/N... - he finally looked at you, when you put him on the floor. You worriedly looked him over. - Go away. Your scent...
- I won't leave you! Nonsense! We gotta get you cleaned up and...
- I need blood, kitten. And I won't stop, I need a lot. Your scent... Is too much. So please... Go away - you put your hand on his cheek and kissed his forehead.
- No, I won't. Take however much you need. You told me I shoud tell you when I would be ready. I am, - you sobbed, knowing that he indeed wouldn't stop. That you would be dead at his fangs today. But you knew he wouldn't let you go even there, in death. You believed in it. He smiled at you sadly and reached out to you. You bent over a little and...
You shut your eyes. It wasn't pleasant. Like at all. This vampire fantasy novels could go to hell. It was painful, you neck and shoulder immediately went into agony. But you couldn't move at the same time. You took him by shoulders, gripping them and feeling how you grow weak with every second. With weakness came a little pleasure, your pain was going away. It became easier.
You didn't hear the noise around you. Didn't hear the talk and screams of dying Max. Didn't hear the talk Michael and others had with David, who barely pulled away from your neck. You only felt some warm drops on your lips and heard all too familiar whisper.
So this series was inspired by @auntvamp 's headcannons about the boys in rut, and when I say that I couldn't help but write this after reading those lol. I'd highly suggest reading that first. So I will be writing for all the boys but I started off with Paul (cause this gif image be awakening shit in me lol)
Marko, David (coming soon). Dwayne (coming soon)
Word Count: 3,260
Pairings: Paul x Fem!Reader
Warnings: DETAILED SMUT! THAT IS ALL THIS STORY IS!! MINORS DNI!!
That's what David had told you when he informed you to stay away from the cave for the next couple of days. You were confused when David had met you at the entrance the night before, you were fully prepared to spend the night at the boardwalk with the boys and your favorite vampire, but David had quickly shot down those plans.
"Wait…A rut? Like how animals have ru-"
"Yes just like that" he told you as he walked you back to your car.
"You see when we go into these we are very dangerous to you, if you were a vampire you would be ok but since you're a human you're far more…"
"Fragile" you finished, the boys had all told you that before, taking it upon themselves to protect you all the time because you were "like a China doll" in Dwayne's words.
"So you understand why it's best if you just stay away for a couple of days" he explained, to which you could only simply nod as you climbed in your car. Your thoughts suddenly taking a turn as you thought of him…they were all extremely attractive…him especially…and you knew him taking a partner for a quick time was something he had done before, a lot according to the others…would that happen again? After all, if he was gonna kill them anyways why not? It didn't matter if they were fragile right? But why did that thought make you wanna cry even more in this situation?
"It's not like that" David's voice broke you out of your thoughts and you were unsure if he had read your thoughts or could just read your emotions.
"Go home y/n, don't overthink, you can come back soon" he told you as he shut your car door, watching as you started the car and rolled down the window when he knocked
"And one more thing" he told you while leaning in.
"Just don't invite him in"
So here you were, sitting in your room, listening to music and drawing, wishing you could just go hang out with the boys, you hadn't really realized just how much of a staple in your life they had become until now. Night's seemed boring without them…without him. Sighing you sat your sketchbook down on your nightstand after you realized that in your zoned out state you had successfully sketched what was probably the twentieth picture of him that resided in the book. Stretching, you got up and changed the music, putting on your favorite Guns n Roses album, the cords of Rocket Queen starting as you began dancing around. You had joked to Paul on more than one occasion that he reminded you of a combo of Duff and Steven, a compliment in his eyes. But your body came to a halt when you heard knocking on your window, slowly turning, your breath and heart picking up as David's words rang in your head again.
"Just don't invite him in"
You wondered if it would be stupid to pretend you weren't here, they all would know you were here, where else would you be? Again the knocking came, this time accompanied by a voice.
"Sugar come on" the shiver that went down your spine was visible as you heard Paul's voice, it was a voice you had only heard a few times and that was when he was vamped out, his usual cheery tone with an underlying growl and gravel.
"Paul" you spoke quietly.
"Yeah it's me baby, just let me in"
"I-I can't," you replied after a moment.
"Why not?" He asked, his voice deepening a bit.
"David told me not to" you told him, listening as a low growl rang out from the other side of your window.
"David doesn't know what he's talking about," he replied.
"Paul I'm not sure-"
"Just let me in!" He snapped, and you jumped at his hard tone, having never heard it directed at you before, it made your heart race even more as you feared even approaching the window now. As if sensing your fear you heard Paul…Whimper?
"I'm sorry baby I didn't mean…I promise I can explain it all if you let me in…please Sugar" he pleaded, and you knew if you could see it he would be giving you that puppy dog look he always gave to get his way.
"Please y/n…it hurts" he whined and you knew at that moment he was telling the truth and not that he was just trying to trick you…Paul only used your name when he was being completely serious. Slowly walking over to the window you drew back the black out curtains you had installed in case any of them needed to stay at your place and looked out the window. (E/c) met yellow as you stared at one another, his eyebrows were drawn upwards, a pleading look on his face as he stood on the small balcony that was attached to your room. His jacket was also gone, something you took note of since he wore his Jacket as much as Marko wore his.
"Paul" you breathed once you opened the window, you leaned out a bit and instantly Paul was on you. Lips locked against yours while hands gripped your face, tugging you closer, claws scratching your scalp before you felt him tugging your hair, you head being pulled back as he explored your mouth, fangs scraping your lips as you tasted the faint taste of weed on his tongue, you were shocked you didn't taste blood, had he not fed? That seemed to be all your brain thought of because at that moment it was short circuiting at the fact that, holy shit Paul was kissing you!! The scent of leather, weed and something that you could only describe as simply Paul surrounded him, but it was almost like it was cranked up to a hundred, making you dizzy. He quickly pulled away, seeming to suddenly remember that humans need to breathe and rested his forehead against yours as he watched you catch your breath. His skin burned compared to his usual coldness.
"Let me in baby" he spoke slowly, hands running down your neck, he watched as you nodded but he knew that wouldn't work.
"I need you to say it Sugar" he told you before asking again.
"Can I come inside?" He asked and you felt your face flush as you looked into his eyes…you had a feeling that question was about more than one thing.
"Yes" you breathed, and instantly you were back in your room, Paul's lips on yours once more as he quickly pushed you towards the bed.
"I'm gonna make you scream my name" he told you as he began tearing at your clothes, fuck why was this feral side of him so fucking hot?! You watched as he suddenly stopped, his body hovering over yours as you lay on the mattress, he leaned closer to you and inhaled, before letting out a shaky breath.
"Fuck you smell so fuckin good when you're horny" he growled, finishing the job of tearing your clothes off before he began pulling his own off like they were burning him.
"W-wait you c-can smell-"
"Every fuckin time, everytime you came into the cave having just read your "Romance novels" or just some randomly dirty thought crossed your mind and you started dripping" he growled again, his body now completely uncovered and you swear you started drooling at the sight, holy shit, his top never left much to the imagination but seeing him totally naked was like your own romance cover come to life.
"You don't know how hard it is for me to not just drag you off to a dark part of the cave when that happens" he breathed against your neck, his lips descending to start creating marks that would let everyone in Santa Carla know that you belonged to him.
"Why didn't you?" You breathed once you were able to find your voice and you felt Paul stop, another growl leaving him before his kisses started up again, much harder and now paired with nips, while his hips began grinding against you, his hardness gliding easily against the wetness that was already running down your thighs. The feeling causing the both of you to moan.
"I'll taste you later I promise Sugar, but right now I really need to be inside you" he spoke, his voice strained but still having that growl to it, a deadly combination for you it seemed, because you were more than willing to wrap your legs around his waist and arms around his neck. That seemed to be the only signs he needed because the next thing you knew he was pushing into you, the wetness helped some but it did nothing for the stretch of him.
"Oh shit" you panted as you looked at him, his eyes watching you intensely as he continued to push forward until he completely bottomed out. Only then did his eyes close and a moan leave him, meanwhile you were gasping at the utter fullness you were dealing with, he was so much bigger than you had imagined, and yes you were not above saying that you had imagined this before…many times…even when he was vamped out. The feeling of him pulling out brought you back to reality and your eyes met again just as he slammed back in, a moan being knocked out of you.
"I can't be gentle baby" he warned you, his breath already becoming labored from holding himself back.
"I know" you told him, this was what David was worried about, their strength and raw power paired with no control let loose on your human body…You knew, but still.
"I'll try to stop…If it gets too much…But I can't promise I won't completely lose it" he told you, and watched as you simply smiled, before pulling him down for another kiss. This seemed to be all he needed as you felt him shift, hooking your knees over his arms before letting go. The kiss was quickly broken as your body bounced quickly with his thrusts, he had warned you about not being gentle, and he was correct. His body leaned over yours, hands planted beside your body as his pace continued to become faster and harder, a constant low growl now coming from him as he watched where you connected.
"Fuck" he groaned, claws digging in and ripping your sheets as he threw his head back, eyes shut as he pounded away, moan after moan leaving both of you.
"Fuck you're mine" he growled, eyes locking with yours again before he leaned further over you, pressing your legs into your chest and now hitting that spot inside just right, your eyes rolling back as he continued his brutal pace.
"Say it" he told you, nipping at your lip to bring your attention back to him.
"Say you're mine, say you're my mate"
"Oooh fuck Paul" you gasped, trying to wrap your head around his request, your delay didn't seem to sit well with him though if the snarl that vibrated your chest was anything to go by.
"I-I'm yours. I'm y-your mate" you moaned weakly, trying to catch the breath that was being constantly knocked out of you.
"My mate" he all but purred, forehead resting against your chest as he listened to your pounding heartbeat, he swore it beat in time with his thrusts and the thought had him moaning, the thought that the thing that kept you alive was beating in time with him, in his fucked out brain that solidified even more that you were his mate. He felt you start to tighten around him as the slick sound of skin on skin and his growls echoed in the room.
"You gonna cum already baby? We haven't even gotten started" he let out a breathless laugh as he watched you, your head tilted back and eyes closed while your mouth opened, moan after moan leaving you.
"Cum for me baby" he purred, his pace never slowing as your brain began to become fuzzier, the coil inside you winding tight before completely snapping, a shout of his name tearing from your throat, while his pace never faltered. Your senses slowly coming back just in time to feel Paul flip the both of you over, you now straddling him with trembling legs. He lifted you easily before dropping you back down onto him, gaining the quick pace yet again as he thrusted up into you. You may have been on top but it was very clear who was in control, the term power bottom didn't even begin to describe him at that moment. He watched your body shake on top of him, your breasts bouncing, your breath coming out in quick pants while your head was thrown back in ecstasy, cries of his name ringing out in the night, and your legs trembling on either side of his hips. Another growl left him at the sight, and the thought of seeing you like this more often, completely lost in pleasure, completely his. He could feel his own end beginning to approach, his body pent up from so many hours of craving you, wanting to feel your body against his, smelling your scent that seemed to calm him instantly on his bad days, and excite him on his good ones. Sitting up when he felt you come undone yet again, your moans higher in pitch as he continued to thrust upwards in the new position, you on his lap, his arms around your waist as he held you close. He knew you were becoming overstimulated, and the knowledge spurred him on, he wanted you to only think of him, only feel him, crave him like he craved you.
"One more…fuck…for me baby" he growled against your ear, the position causing you to grind against him and the friction against you paired with his deep and wild thrusts were making you see spots while your body wanted to move away.
"P-Paul I c-can't" you whined, head resting against his shoulder as you clawed at his back.
"Yes you can baby" he panted.
"Shit...just one more…mmm…I'm so close baby…fuuuck…just one more Sugar" he whimpered, holding you closer, his lips resting against your neck, you could feel his tongue lapping at the sensitive skin, feel his fangs grazing you, and you knew what he wanted along with another orgasms from you. With a whimper you tilted your head more to the side, completely lost in Paul, and that was the only invitation he needed. The pain wasn't as bad as you thought it would be, or maybe Paul had used some form of Vampire magic to make it not as bad..or maybe your brain was just that fucked out. Whatever it was, the feeling quickly morphed into a warm euphoric sensation that ran throughout your body, like a final piece clicking in place, and the lights behind your eyes exploded as your body shook. Paul wasn't far behind you, as soon as your blood hit his tongue he was gone, a low almost territorial growl leaving him as he leaned forward, your body now being supported only by him as his thrusts quickened even more for only a moment before his teeth were leaving you, blood stained lips opening as a moan tore from his throat, his thrusts becoming sloppy as he spilled inside you, before stilling completely. When you finally came to, your body both numb and tingly you noticed two things. One being Paul was still vamped out, his chin and fangs covered in your blood, and two, you don't think you'd ever seen Paul so blissed out, even after smoking. He looked like he was oblivious to everything at the moment, his body just basking in the orgasm that had rushed through him.. You'd be lying if you said you wouldn't like to see him like this more often. As if reading your thoughts you watched as golden eyes met yours, the red haze far less now, and a lazy smile rested on his lips.
"Hi" you smiled, voice scratchy.
"Hi" he replied, leaning down to nuzzle your neck and kiss the now sealed bite mark.
"So…Not that I'm complaining about the mind blowing sex but…"
"It's rut season" he stated.
"Yeah David explained that" you replied.
"Said it was like when animals go into rut and that you guys were dangerous like this because I'm just human"
"He wasn't wrong…I could be dangerous to you if I lost control"
"But you didn't" you told him, fingers running through his wild hair now that he had laid you down on the bed again, his head resting on your chest.
"But I could have" the room fell silent after that, your thoughts going back to when David explained it.
"I'm shocked then" you spoke again, catching his attention.
"That I would come here?" He asked against your skin.
"That you didn't just find a pretty girl on the boardwalk, after all, it's not like you would have trouble" he was looking at you quicker than you expected after your sentence, eyes scanning over your features, surly picking up on both the jealousy and sadness. Paul might have been seen as the most oblivious of the group, but he was quite observant when it came to you.
"It doesn't work that way Sugar" he told you with a smile. While you only tilted your head.
"What did I want you to say that you were?" He asked as he kissed up your chest, inhaling your scent as he nuzzled your neck again. You took a moment to answer, your brain having been very fuzzy at the time, but soon it clicked.
"Your mate" you replied, feeling him nod.
"Ruts only happen to a vampire when we find our mates," he explained, before adding.
"Which means the only one we want to make scream our name is our mate" he replied with a snicker as he peppered your face with kisses, causing you to laugh and the insecurity to leave you.
"So what all does this mean?" You asked once he stopped. He looked down at you with a softness in his golden gaze.
"Well besides the whole meant to be aspect" he smiled.
"That means if you do decide to become like us, you know who you'll be stuck with for all eternity"
"There is no one I'd rather be stuck with," you told him with a smile.
"Awe really babe?"
"Yes…truth be told I've had a crush on you since we met"
"WHAT?!" He asked, pushing up on his arms to hover over you.
"You're telling me we could have been having sex this entire time?!?" He pouted, causing you to laugh and nod.
"Baaaabe" he whined, burning his face in your neck and giving it a playful nip.
"I mean…we can always make up for lost time right?" You stated, causing him to slowly pull away from you, a shit eating grin on his face.
"There are a few hours left of the rut right?" You asked.
"I fucking love you" he rushed to capture your lips with his, before decending down your body, you watched as he made himself comfortable, your legs draped over his shoulders. Your eyes met as he gave you a wink.
"Told you that I would taste you later Sugar"
This was going to be a long night.
Well there is the first one in the series, I hope everyone enjoyed it! Either Marko or David will be next. If you'd like to be added to a taglist for the next one let me know.
I felt like every guy should have something that they call their girl. For Paul Sugar felt the most natural. For Marko it's Cutie. Dwayne it's Princess. And David it's Sweetheart (I know it is a 50/50 love and hatred for David using Kitten lol). But all of them interchange with just Babe/Baby.
Welcome, dear readers - here you'll find the full library of all I've written so far. Requests, multiple chapter stories, shorts, headcannons - it's all here, sorted by character! With over 400 shorts and requests filled, 8 longer fics (with a total of over an 100 chapters), I'm certain you'll find something that you will like! So, sit back and enjoy 💕💕💕
Comment if you want a part 2 and/or let me know what you think
My 1st time writing for TLB so 😅

It’s said that vampires often require guardians during the day while they sleep. The tales often say that the hounds of hell are used for this purpose but so many humans assume they're dogs. That's what the Frog brothers and the Emerson's counted on that night when they came to the cave. They never expected to see a girl with (your hair color) hair curled upon the couch with a book upon entering the vampires lair. At first they assumed she was a victim. Maybe someone they kidnapped and kept hostage. They were very very wrong.
As the Frog brothers and Sam Emerson descended down into the cave, y/n immediately sensed them. They smelled of fear, holy water and garlic. Crazy kids. Garlic is such an out dated reference when it comes to vamps. Y/n smirked as she closed her book and acknowledged the intruders for the first time "You know, it's very rude to enter someone's home uninvited and armed" she stares intensely at the 3 boys armed with stakes, holy water and who knows what else. Edgar was the first to speak up, "I wouldn't call this hole in the ground a home but I guess bloodsuckers can't be too picky. Who are you? We can get you out of here." He asks with his hand on a stake, ready to defend himself and his fellow hunters. Y/n laughs as she stood up from her place in the couch. "And what makes you think I want out of here? What if this is my home too? You think you're so smart but you're all just kids." Y/n watched them closely as she spoke. She noticed their body language and their unspoken words that were communicated by stares and looks. Alan stepped towards her holding a stake "Then that makes you a blood sucker and we are here to kill you all" He threatened as he leaped towards y/n with the stake and plunges it into her chest. She looks down at the stake in her chest and then back at the boys in front of her. "Bad move, boys" she smirked before her whole body was engulfed in flames and the stake soon turned to Ash and fell out of her chest. She strode towards them and growled loudly as her eyes glowed and the flames around her intensified. The boys fell back in surprise and scrambled to get back up. "If you ever even think of coming back here again, I'll barbecue you all!" Y/n warns as she stepped towards the boys. She opened her jaw and snarled with wolf like fangs before running at them. The boys ran out as fast as their feet would carry them. Once she was sure they were gone, she calmed the flames on her body and was left covered in soot and ash. She quickly through on a tshirt and some sweatpants before throwing her hair up into a mess bun. Y/n made sure they were long gone. She walked the outside of the cave and tracked their scents back to the main road. The threat was gone.
As she entered the cave, a mess of blonde came walking out of the sleeping chamber. Paul. "I heard your growl, sweets. Is everything OK?" Paul asked as he walked to meet y/n at the couch in the middle of the cave. She sighs and plops down on the couch. "Those Frog kids. They have guts. I'll give them that" she explained as Paul plopped down next to her on the couch. "What!? Those little shits! Did the hurt you?" Paul asks as he frantically grabs her and starts checking her body for injury. As he moved her tshirt, he saw the faint scar on her chest from where the stake had been. He stood up quickly clenching his fists "They're fucking dead!! They stabbed you!? Who do they think they are!?" Paul paced as he started planning the different ways he'd rip them apart. The rest of the boys stumbled out of the sleeping chamber and looked around, trying to figure out what the hell was going on. "Care to explain the yelling?" David asked as he approached y/n and Paul. "Those boys fucking attacked her, man! Staked her in the chest! When I find them.." Paul rambled on before David finally snapped at him "Paul!! She's a hell hound for fucks sake! She's OK!" David said trying to calm down the blonde vamp along with the other boys who were inspecting y/n for more injuries. "I'm OK, loves. I promise" y/n said as she showed them her fading scar "Just a scratch" she held her hand out to Paul who was still pacing around and he immediately was drawn to her.
He sat down next to her and held her cheek with his hand. "I know you're a bad ass hell hound and you're suppose to protect us or whatever but baby you're not just a guardian. Not to me.Not to any of us" Paul explained as he stroked her cheek. She leaned into his touch and closed her eyes, finding comfort in his touch and in his words. She kissed the palm of his hand. "I understand Paulie. I know this situation isn't easy for any of us. This isn't how it's supposed to be. I'm supposed to protect and guard you guys. Not..." Y/n trailed off as her eyes dropped to the floor. Marko kneeled down I front of her and placed a hand on her knee. "Be the love of our lives? Our reason for being? Our purpose on this earth? Listen, Mí Amore. None of us expected our mate to be a bad ass hell hound like you and I know you didn't expect to find your mate as a vampire, never mind 4 of us but it is no longer your job to protect us. We protect each other. We are here for each other. You're never on your own" Marko comforted. Y/n felt tears prick at her eyes. "I got you all. Forever. I'd rather get stabbed 10 times over than see any harm come to any of you" she looked around the room at her boys as she spoke.
Dwayne wrapped his arms around her shoulders and kissed her neck comfortingly. "Let's just agree to do the best we can to not get hurt. Any of us." Dwayne reassured as he traces y/n's scar with his finger. David sat down on the other side of the couch next to y/n. "Doll, we will take care of this" David promised as he grabbed hold of her hand. A comfortable silence fills the cave as her boys clung to her in their own ways. "You did an awesome fucking job protecting us tho, Princess. Thank you" Dwayne said as he kissed her head. All the boys nod and agree with Dwayne. "Yeah! What a good puppy!" Paul exclaims before rubbing y/n's head like she's a dog. Y/n's eyes sparked and sent a tiny flame to Paul's cheek. "OWW! OWW!" Paul screeched as he jumps up and pats his cheek like he's putting out a 4 alarm fire. "Bad puppy!!" He scolds as the other boys just laugh and hold on to their incredible mate. "Call me puppy again and you go bald" y/n threatens causing the other boys to continue laughing. Paul walked towards her biting his lip and grabs hold of her chin "You like my hair to much to do that, baby. Then you'd have nothing to hold onto" Paul winks at her before kissing her nose and y/n blushed, left totally speechless. David laughed and shook his head as he stood up. "Come on boys. Looks like we have frog on the menu tonight." David smirked at his little pun and kissed y/n before slipping outside into the dark night. Dwayne and Marko kissed her before following David but Paul remained standing in front of her. " Stay out of trouble while we're gone? Read your book. Stay put and I'm sure we will make it worth your while when we get back, sugar" Paul smirks. "I'm done with trouble for the night. I'll stay put" y/n says as she picks up her book and uses it to try and hide her obvious blush. Paul laughs and moves the book away from her face to kiss her lips. "Well I hope you still got a little trouble left in you cuz I'm sure we'll be causing some later" Paul smirks before he kisses her forehead and heads outside to meet the rest of the boys.
Synopsis: You remembered the day you died vividly, and what had started as one of the best nights of your life quickly turned sour.
Summary: Micheals Ex-Girlfriend received a concerning phone call from Lucy begging her to come and check up on a now distant and unrecognizable Micheal. But what was meant to be a simple reunion and check-in, instead leads to four very rambunctious bikers and an old lover, to be extremely opposed to letting you leave again.
The bustling chatter filled the packed room like music, unrelenting as some patrons laughed louder while others cheered softer. Every customer that walked in was rambunctious and different in their own unique way. Although becoming a bartender differed from how you had always pictured your future, ditching your home life was worth every tip and penny you earned throughout the night.
You were a good actor; that's one noteworthy little fact you learned about yourself after a few weeks. Wiping dry a martini glass, your chuckles, greetings, and mischievous remarks almost felt unfamiliar to you as you entertained the customers.
But when the lights dimmed, casting a gentle orange hue against every surface of the bar. The acting, the gestures, and the remarks all began feeling natural.
It left you with a sweet sense of satisfaction, like pushing in the last puzzle piece. But, although the usuals felt more comfortable, you still weren’t to open to the idea of becoming closer to anyone. For all you knew, these people were just here for a drink.
One visit turned into two, then three, until you could recite everyone's orders and names. Your life gradually followed the same schedule as clockwork, checking in either during the morning shifts like Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday instead of staying for the wild nightlife like Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. A small bell was hanging above the door, giving you and your occasional coworker a heads-up whenever a new patron entered the bar. It was easy to get overwhelmed, the loud bumbling chatter nearly drowning out the music playing. Drunks laughed and cheered with rosy-cheeked grins; others decided to rough-house until Pablo kicked them out.
Filling a pint of beer for your usual customer, you nearly missed the soft chin of bells as someone new entered. The door swung open, and in came a blonde biker who took your breath away. Pulling at your strings as if he was some violinist, plucking at the cords until your chatter turned utterly harmonious. It was like a strange pull, a tugging, nudging aching within your racing heart that simply needed him there. It both excited you and disturbed you. Your banter with the biker didn't last long; he ordered four bottled beers, his gaze never wavering as you shuffled past your coworker making some margaritas for a group of girls as you grabbed the beers out of the freezer and handing them over before grabbing his cash.
"You new here?" You finally asked, and you weren't exactly sure what to expect, but his voice matched his looks perfectly.
You snickered, leaning over the bar. Phoenix had some exciting faces to offer, all styles and types. But it was rare you found one that was this attractive.
The biker shrugged; a type of smugness hung across his features. A simple look in his eyes gave you another clue, the man was higher than a kite. "Just haven't seen such a pretty face around in a while." He tapped his hand on the counter with a slight chuckle, stepping back as he waved before walking out the door. You chuckled, shaking your head in amusement as you focused on the other customers. Though, you couldn't quite keep the blonde out of your head.
Not even when your shift ended, wiping a gray-soaked washcloth across the counters and tables. Your coworker cleaned and mopped the floors before you both clocked out. You entered the employee's room, grabbing your belongings before exiting through the back door. You hopped in your car, the streets still thriving, but you only lived several blocks away from the teenage hotspot when things began to gradually cool down. Luckily that's where your shabby little hut came into view.
It wasn't perfect, but decent, and the rent was cheap, so you weren't gonna complain. Parking your bike, you walked up your porch. The old wood creaking underneath your steps, shuffling to grab your keys, you couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching you. Turning to glance around, you rushed to open the door before entering your safe and humble abode. You locked the door, kicking off your shoes with a sigh as you walked towards your bedroom. You felt a little sluggish now that you were free to be, removing your clothes and hopping in the shower. The piping hot water felt heavenly across your skin, and if you weren't so damn hungry, you would've stayed longer. Loose pajamas, some fluffy socks, and you walked back into the kitchen, heating up some leftovers from the previous night and popping open a can of beer.
You were a rather heavy drinker, one bottle often turned to three, and three would often multiply sooner rather than later. Some people might have called you an alcoholic, but you didn't really mind. Alcohol was your ambrosia, and god fucking dammit, were you willing to die for that nectar. You were on your way to grab the third beer of the night when you heard a small thump against the window.
You found it odd that a bird would hit your window, especially since they weren't nocturnal. But as you wandered over and slid open the window, you watched as a bat squeaked at you. Blonde fluffy fur as it flew away in a rush. You didn't necessarily like bats, but you didn't hate the critters, either. This was your first time seeing one in real life, your eyes flicking to the tree a few feet away from your window. There on the bottom branch, hung the monster, making you laugh. "Sorry, Dracula, the bar closed two hours ago." You were about to close the window wanting to grab your last beer and finish up your movie before heading to bed.
But you halted as you watched the bat struggle on its branch, sloppily falling off and hitting the floor with a small thud. You frowned; you might not know much about bats, but they sure as hell avoided being on the ground. You hesitated before grabbing a towel and an empty shoe box; perhaps, if you were lucky enough, the bat would have flown away by the time you got to it. But unfortunately, the small little bundle of blonde fur still lay frozen on the ground. Sighing, you carefully scoop it up with the towel and lay it in the box before heading back inside.
You sat the box on the kitchen table, sitting down and taking a proper look at the thing. "You must've hit your little head when banging into the window.." You muttered, watching it stare back at you lazily. Whenever it tried to waddle its way out of the box, its little body swayed before eventually tumbling back into the fluffy fabric.
"Looks like you're stuck with me for the night, little guy." You cooed, a small smile tugging at your lips. It let out a small squeak. If you didn't know any better, you would say the bat understood you, turning around and grabbing an apple and a simple cutting knife. You sliced off a small piece, laying it in the box. You didn't know what the hell bats ate, and you weren't going to go out of your way to try and find some insect in your yard, so an apple slice will have to do for now.
Grabbing the box once more, you moved to your bedroom, entering the bathroom through a joined door. You set the box down, waving at the small bat before turning off the lights and closing the door. You got yourself settled and lay down, turning off your bedside lamp and letting out a content sigh. But then you heard it, the muffle whining and whimpers of the small creature in your bathroom. Letting out a groan, you tried covering your face with a pillow to try and drown out the noise, but it was a fruitless endeavor. Getting up with a huff, you turned on the light once more before moving over. You opened the door, flicking on the light as you watched it try and waddle towards you. "Can't you be quiet?" You groan, rubbing your temples.
However, you couldn't help but notice the silence once you had actually acknowledged the bat again, rolling your eyes at its strange antics. "Look, I can't give you attention all night. I need to sleep." You argue, watching the little creature climb up your foot and use its little claws and wings to crawl up your body.
Perhaps it was the previous drink, or your clear disregard for your own sense of self preservation, but you walked back to your bedroom with a shrug. If the little guy just had to sleep with you, then so be it. Sure, the thing could have rabies for all you new but the moment your aching feet lifted themselves onto your soft mattress; you no longer cared.
"Night night, Dracula." You snickered, closing your eyes and falling into a hollow state of peace.
Walking up, once again alone, fills you with a familiar sense of loneliness. You look around for your little companion, but you simply couldn't find him. You opened all of your windows in case you missed the little guy hiding somewhere before walking down into your kitchen for breakfast. You'd never admit it out loud, but having broken up with your long-term boyfriend, Michael, was rough on you. Half the time, you wallow in alcohol and self-loathing, spending any free time working and trying your damn hardest to move on. The relationship's end wasn't anyone's fault, really; when his father's divorce was finally settled, Michael needed to be with his mom, she needed him during this time, and you couldn't blame him for leaving with you. Looking back on it, you both could've made it work somehow, the long distance, but neither of you two found yourself to really fight for that option.
Sipping on your morning coffee was your ritual, reminiscing about your short past, a daily activity. But today, you were interrupted by the obnoxious sound of your phone ringing. Getting up and plucking the phone from the wall, your body tensed at the sweet sound of Lucy, Michaels's mother. She was the kindest person you knew, a relaxed parent that focused on a kid's trust rather than forcing the truth out from your experience.
"Hey honey, how have you been?" Her familiar, parental tone hummed over the phone. The sound tugged a smile across your lips. "Dandy, what about you, Lucy?" You knew better than to know Lucy wasn't just calling to check in with you, and although every fiber of your being wanted to cut to the chase, you managed to stay polite.
Lucy let out a hum, happy with your answer. "I'm good—we're all good. But, listen, I'm sorry to call you for this, but it's about Michael."
You nodded, although you knew she couldn't see you; you stayed silent, asking her to continue. "He's changed, distant. He hasn't been the same, and Sam says he's been involved with some worrisome people. I know it's a lot, but I can't help but worry. He won't talk to me, but he'll talk to you. I'll provide you with a room and everything; just please check in for me."
You could tell she was pleading; her tone was very clear with that. But could you really do this? You and Michael broke up, but you've been together since freshman year. You knew his family, and he knew yours; even if you weren't together anymore, you were still friends. With a long sigh, you rubbed your temples.
"Alright, I'll be there."
You don't plan on staying long, glancing at the backseat of your car where a small suitcase sits. You brought the essentials, but since it was summer regardless, you wanted to consider this a short beach-side vacation for yourself as well. It made coming to Santa Carla more reasonable.
Following the address Lucy promptly gave you afterward, you drove up the narrow driveway to an old-looking house. It must've been a generational home bought in the 40s if you had to guess. The sun was already setting by the time you arrived; stepping out of the car, you were greeted by an excited Lucy. However, you knew her better than that. The small stress wrinkles give away how worried she must've actually been.
She embraced you in a big bear-like hug, making you chuckle as she brought you in for some coffee. You sat inside, shielded by the hot California sun, as you stirred some creamer into your coffee. You two sat in the kitchen, a small desk separate from the main dining table.
"So, care to tell me a little more about what's been happening?" You ask, knowing that if you avoided the subject, so would Lucy. She let out a sigh, rubbing her temples as she nearly deflated before you.
"You know it's been hard for them—the divorce. Sam wasn't that close with his father; I'm afraid he experienced a more absent father figure than Micheal did. No, Micheal grew up with everything being perfect; I had a good marriage, and he had a good father and a stable home life." Lucy hummed, taking a long sip of her coffee.
"I know it wasn't easy for them. For any of us, really, but as a parent, I can't help but wonder. Did I do the right thing? Was Santa Carla really what the boys needed?"
You weren't exactly sure what to say; both you and Michael were adults at this point and were mature enough to have a conversation like this. But before Lucy was your friend, she had been more of a mother figure for you. Seeing her struggle so much makes you frown, a heaviness tugging at your lips. People really could be awful sometimes. You grabbed her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze as you smiled at her.
"Listen, I know being a parent is hard. But you're a good mom, okay? You have been since the start. But you need to listen; this move wasn't just for them. It was for you as well. You suffered a shitty divorce and dealt with an even worse ex-husband. You deserve this new start; let me handle Michael; I'm sure he'll come around." You watched as small tears seemed to prickle at her eyes, "Oh you!" She sang before pulling you into a hug. "I've missed you." She added, rubbing small circles on your back. You couldn't help but smile, not saying it but letting the small squeeze you returned to the hug speak for you.
The sun had already set as you managed to unpack your things in the guest room, tackling Sam in a big-old sibling-like hug before heading to the boardwalk with him. Lucy had left a few hours earlier for work, which is where you were headed now. Sam led the way as he filled you in on Micheals's behavior. To say you were concerned now was an understatement; nothing Micheal did now made sense. This wasn't like him.
You walked over to the Videotape store and found Lucy glancing at the videotapes decorating the walls. You walked around, glancing at the movies that might interest you. You eventually ended up in the same aisle as a brown biker, someone who vaguely reminded you of the blonde one you met days ago. You were about to pick up The Shining when the man interrupted.
"You new here?" He eventually asked, his gaze lingering for an unusually long time. You struggled, letting out a dry chuckle. "That obvious, huh?" You hummed, feeling more at ease. The man was more stoic than you were used to, but the moment you heard his own amused chuckling, your tense shoulders gradually dropped. The man was mesmerizing, a special charm in every little trinket and clothes covering him. You felt an annoying sense of deja vu, feeling your heart push and pull your subconscious self towards this man. To gush about his leather jacket or talk about anything else for hours. He seemed to smile, catching your lingering gaze before clearing his throat and pointing towards one of the videotapes. "The Shining's good, but if you're into that, I'd recommend The Thing and Nightmare on Elms Street too." All you could do was nod, spinning around when you saw Lucy. She smiled at the brunette, handing you something as you rushed out of the shop. Any tapes and movies are utterly forgotten, and you search for space. You made brief eye contact with the man Lucy had been talking, feeling unsettled by him.
You walked along the patios of the shops lining the boardwalk; they were lightly covered in sand. A grainy texture underneath your shoes. You sat there for a moment before your eyes caught the sight of a familiar head of messy brown hair.
Jumping to your feet, you were off. Not sparing anyone a second glance, not until you were about to reach Micheal. You could feel it, that nostalgic giddiness you usually felt whenever you and Micheal met, but during that time, you were still together. You could jump into his arms and kiss his dimpled cheek; the sudden realization that you hadn't actually seen the brunette since you broke up made your heart squeeze. Seeing him felt more real, and the growing realization that nothing would ever be the same again made the air feel heavy.
You paused as you saw a girl with bouncy curls rush over to him, a small boy close behind as she linked their arms. You hadn't realized until then that a part of you was still clinging onto a foolish, utterly bitter sense of hope that things could return to the way they were. You couldn't have been more foolish, the excitement within you replaced with a heavy knot in the pit of your stomach. You wanted to turn around, run away, and drink until you cough your lungs out on some empty street bench. But you couldn't; you weren't here for Michael or yourself; you were here for Lucy's sake.
Taking in a deep breath, you walked over and cleared your throat. Michael had walked up to a group of guys, two of whom you recognized. They turned to you, four eyes curiously staring at one, another pair looking upset, and lastly, Michaels were surprised.
“Y/N?”
"The one and only." You rolled your eyes, trying to retain a sense of normality despite your emotional turmoil. The hippy-look-alike glanced between you two, taking an almost protective step in front of Micheal. "Who are you?"
Before Micheal could answer, you beat him to it. "A friend." You mused, shaking her hand. "I'm Y/N, an old childhood friend from Phoenix." She seemed to relax at the information, nodding with a gentle smile. "I'm Star, Micheal's girlfriend."
Hiding your soft grimace, you nodded with a strained smile.
"What are you doing here, Y/N?"
"Not going to introduce us first, Mikey?" The smooth voice hummed out, but the tone was laced with something else. You couldn't place it, but it almost sounded dissatisfied. You couldn't really answer before Micheal grabbed your arm, a bit too tight for your liking. "Stay out of it, David."
Micheal dragged you away, taking advantage of your stunned state. You suddenly understood what Sam and Lucy had been worrying about. Micheal didn't act like that, at least not for the past few years you've known him. He shoved and pushed his way through the crowd, though that wasn't very hard considering how the people practically split just to avoid you two. He didn't look back at you, nor did his grip loosen until you two were somewhere at the end of the boardwalk; the crowd lessened with every meter.
When you finally came to a stop, you were suddenly pulled into a tight hug. One of his arms snaked around your waist, a grip firm but gentle. His other hand had tangled itself in your hair, practically cradling your head as he nuzzled his face in the crook of your neck.
If you didn't have whiplash from the sudden rushing, you definitely had some now from the abrupt affection. He seemed to be, inhaling you? "Micheal." You nudged his chest, finally able to separate yourself from a very unwilling brunette.
"What are you doing here, Y/N?" His voice was gentle, careful even. As if you'd run away again, which was odd since you weren't the one who left.
"I came to visit you; I see you've made some new friends.." You wandered over to the railing, hopping on carefully.
"Yeah, a lot's happened." He murmured, rubbing his neck to relieve his phantom discomfort. You nodded, silently asking him to go on. "Your family's worried about you; what's been going on, Mikey?" You nudged further, wanting to get to the core of the problem. You couldn't try and help if you didn't know what the hell was going on, but your prodding seemingly did the opposite as Michael became visibly more uncomfortable. Shifting his weight from one leg to the other, rubbed his neck and brushed his fingers through his hair.
"I know, I know—a lot has been going on. I just can't tell you about it." He settled on that answer, getting closer before resting beside you. He leaned his forearms against the railing, glancing at the ocean.
"Will you be staying here for long?" You could tell he was trying to change the subject but ultimately decided that patience was the key in this situation. But apart, small and subtle, I enjoyed the way his question almost sounded pleading.
"Mhm, took a few weeks off for vacation. Lucy's giving me her spare room; I hope you don't mind." He shook his head, his signature crooked smile tugging at his lips. "Nah, I'm glad. Haven't spent any time with my girl in a while."
"Your girl?"
He stuttered at that, "I mean—you know, guess that kinda just slipped." He seemed embarrassed, but you weren't gonna have it. What about Star?
"Don't you have a girlfriend?"
"Star? No, she isn't my girlfriend. It's complicated, but we haven't ever really gotten official." He explained, rubbing his temples at the thought.
You nodded, "Then don't call me your girl Micheal. We broke up; I'm your friend. Please remember that." You reminded him as gently as you could, noticing the subtle flash of pain across his features before he nodded.
Feeling the sudden heaviness in the air, you frowned, looking around as you thought of a way to change the subject. "So, who exactly are your friends?"
"Allow me to take charge of this one, Micheal." A deep, familiar voice mused. The blonde mullet-wearing dude always seemed like a cat, sneaky and quiet but always in the mood to toy with something, in this case, someone.
"Since our Mikey seemed to hide you from us, which is awfully rude of you. I'll take charge from here." He stepped closer, glancing you over. He had an odd look in his eyes and almost seemed angry with Michael for taking you away. However, before the blonde could talk, a rocker look-like, the man you had sworn you saw in your bar prior bounced up beside you and slung his arm around your shoulder.
You ignored the tingles you felt when your bare skin met his but instead chucked it up to your lack of action recently. "I'm Paul, sweetheart!" He stared at you for a bit too long for comfort before moving on. "That's Marko, David, and the brooding guy over there is little ol' Dwayne."
"Why did Dwayne get an extra introduction, and I'm just Marko?" You couldn't help but chuckle at the banter, feeling like the group was awfully playful. So what was the problem? You could see Micheal having a good time with them, so why the sudden change.
"Well, I'm Y/N. Michael's, old friend." You formally introduced, not expecting much, but Dwayne nodded. All of them seemed to be in their own world, Dwayne appearing the most interested. Had you known how focused they actually were on you, analyzing your heart beat, body language, anything they could grasp onto you would've run.
"What brings you to Santa Carla Y/N." David leaned against the railing, his cold gaze curious. "Seems like a pretty far distance to go for just a friend." He added, and at that moment, you got the sense that you just couldn't lie to David. That cold, icy gaze practically looked through you. As if he's had years of experience understanding human behavior, it unnerved you.
"Well, I'm also here for a vacation." You laughed nervously, rubbing the back of your neck.
He gave you a look that simply screamed that he didn't believe you before moving on. "Are you gonna be staying here for long, sugar?" Marko took you out of that uncomfortable situation, making you nod with a hum. "Depends on what you consider long, but I'll be here for a few weeks."
"Well, we ought' to show you around here then. Show you all Santa Carla's got to offer!" Marko hollered, which received agreeing gazes from everyone except Micheal, who appeared rather upset. But you were here, and what better way to understand Micheal than by meeting his friends. "The hell with it." You mused, a grin tugging at your lips at the cheers and eager looks around you.
So, you explored Santa Carla just like Marko had said. Practically losing your soul during the fast carnival rides, winning petty prizes, eating greasy food, fucking with surfer nazis, and stealing some things here and there. So now you were here, surrounded by the starry sky and the roaring ocean. A campfire crackling on the sand as you were sitting in between Michael and Dwayne. With a beer bottle in hand, everyone seemed relaxed despite the playful fighting happening between Paul and Marko.
"So, tell me a little about yourself. How'd you come to know our boy Mikey here?" David had been on your ass since you met; he didn't let your lie slide earlier, even if he hadn't acknowledged it. He was so eager to know about the true nature between you and Micheal, and at the question, you couldn't help but notice Star perk up beside Micheal.
"Nothin' much to tell, I'm afraid. I met Michael when he was interning at his father's mechanics shop when I finally got a car from my old man, only to have it break down on me several weeks later. That is where we met." You glanced at Michael, seeing a faint smile tug on his lips as he seemingly played with the sand.
"I was new, and he offered me a tour around town. One thing led to another, and we became friends. Didn't get together until what, junior year? Yeah, around that time." You add, watching as Paul and Marko suddenly stop rough-housing. "Wait, you two were together?" Paul asked, staring between your two. "You said you were just friends," Marko added, an odd glint in his eyes. You shrugged, taking a quick swig of your beer.
"We are just friends, Mikey and I broke up when he left for Santa Carla." You glanced at the brunette, seeing the way his smile had dissolved. There was a glaze to his eyes as if he was somewhere else completely. You understood; perhaps that's why you guys got together in the first place. You simply understood Michael, the way he was currently dancing with you again in his memories. It was apparent to you.
"Ah." The sound of David's stern hum of acknowledgment made you turn your attention back to the group of boys. They all seemed to be in thought, but none looked too pleased with your previous relationship. "Been happily single ever since—well, I haven't really been looking, to be honest." You added, trying to lighten the mood.
"Oh, you hear that, boys?" Paul grinned, getting up and moving behind you. He rested his hands on your shoulder, leaning down to rest his chin on the top of your head. "She's open for the taking!"
"That is not what I meant—"Before you could finish your sentence, Paul and Marko picked you up. They cheered as they ran towards the inky black ocean water, grinning to themselves as Paul held your hands and Marko your feet. They swung you threateningly over the water's edge. Your screams were filled with laughter as they grinned.
"What do you say, Paul? Should our little sunflower get a drop in the ocean for lying to us?" Paul grinned a mischievous cat-like grin. Glancing at Marko, the expression was practically mirrored. "I don't know, Paulie; maybe she should. Wash off all of that Michael stench off of her."
"Don't drop me! Fuck you, seriously. Don't you dare!" You warned, trying to wiggle yourself out of their death grip.
"Nah, threats won't work on us, honey. Maybe a reward will work, hmm. What do you think, Paul?"
"I think a kiss ought' to do it," Paul answered, glancing between you and his devil-like companion. "Couldn't agree more."
"Fine, fine, have your stupid kiss but let me down!"
As if on cue, they synced up. "If you say so!" Marko cheered as, with a powerful swing, they threw you over and into the water. You let out a shrill screech, landing in the water ungraciously. Once you popped back up, you glared at the two.
Wincing as you tried to get up, you promptly plopped back into the water with a splash. They heard you loud and clear, and Michael was already by Marko and Paul's side. David and Dwayne followed, but not as quickly.
"You okay, sugar?" Paul asked, frowning as you shook your head. You held out a hand to him, silently asking for help to get up. When he walked over to you, not minding his now wet boots. He grabbed your hand, not expecting you to harshly tug him down and into the water with you.
You cackled, wanting to commit the blonde's dumbfounded expression to memory. "Damn girl, you made me worried!" He explained, and Marko nearly doubled over laughing. He splashed you, wrapping his arm around your waist under the water. You froze, not expecting the contact. "That was rather evil of you, sunflower," he mused, in a tone far too low and husky than you had expected coming from the rocker-wannabe.
"And throwing me into the water, wasn't?" You mimicked, turning to glance at him. He laughed, pulling you closer. You could feel his breath taunting your skin; his gaze was all too narrow and lustful for your liking. He looked hungry, practically starved, as he grinned at you. "But I am evil, sunflower, and the one thing you can trust in a bad guy is that he'll always do something awful. It's the good ones you gotta be careful about," He hummed, his gaze shifting to your lips. He lifted his hand, cupping your jaw as he traced his thumb against your lip. "The good ones are a wild card, baby; you never know when they're finally gonna give in." He whispered, and at that moment, you knew he wasn't just talking about petty, mean deeds.
He was referring to you if the position you weren't in wasn't clear enough. However, before you could respond, Michael broke you two up. Unable to form a proper response, you followed your old friend, watching as he returned you to the rest of the group.
"What were they thinking? You'll catch your death being wet this late at night!" Micheal murmured as he complained, making you roll your eyes. "I'm fine; we were just having some fun." You defended, watching as Marko slung his arm around your shoulder. "Yeah, chill out, Mikey."
Dwanye seemed to agree with Micheal instead as he grabbed your hand and gently led you back to the campfire to warm up again. He didn't mind the sudden chill now; your body was still fired up from your earlier encounter with Paul. You felt a heavy cloth drape over your shoulders, glancing to see David's coat loosely set over you. He sat down beside you, handing you your previously abandoned beer bottle.
"Thanks," you smiled.
"It's already so late, yet you don't seem even the slightest bit tired. Do you usually stay up this late?" He asked though he didn't look at you at first. One of his hands loosely held a cigarette, letting a puff of smoke escape through his lips. His eyes focused on the blazing fire in front of you before gradually looking into your eyes. Once again, you could feel your ability to lie fade, not with such a dominating gaze practically reading you.
"I work at a bar most days of the week; you get used to late nights." You explained, being honest for once. He nodded, seemingly appreciating your bluntness.
"Doesn't sound like that's the safest job." Dwayne chimed in, an odd look of concern across his features. You weren't sure what to make of that look; you weren't close enough to garner that concern. But couldn't deny the fluttering in your stomach, fuck, how starved were you for affection?
"Neither is staying in Santa Carla, but here we are." You murmured, a little embarrassed at yourself for being so desperate. You couldn't really describe it, but being around them felt right. Having their attention felt right, and a part of you wanted to keep it. David chuckled at your answer, subtly resting his hand on your thigh.
"Yet here we are." He repeated, his deep voice sending shivers down your back.
"Fuck." You heard someone hiss loudly, everyone's gaze turning to Micheal, who was staring at his watch. "David, it's nearly sunrise." He cursed sternly, sending panicked looks across everyone except the leader. You were surprised yourself, having completely lost track of time. But you were a little confused as all the guys got up and guided you back to the pier.
"You guys got a curfew or something?" You asked, biting the inside of your cheek. Dwanye chuckled as he and the others walked over to their bikes. "Miss us already, sugar?" Paul hummed, getting on his bike. Micheal shook his head, taking your hand gently in his. He caressed the chilled hand with his thumb, and you couldn't help but notice that Micheals's hand was just as cold as yours. "We just have something we need to do; see you tomorrow?"
"You're not going home?" You asked, slightly surprised at the sudden change in atmosphere. "No, like I said, we have something planned." He seemed more nervous, rubbing his neck. A nervous tick he developed when Michael was lying. But you didn't feel like pushing, so you let go of his hand with a sigh.
He walked to his bike, the five starting their engines with a powerful roar. Paul and Marko wave as they drive off, Dwayne following. Michael stared longingly at you, starting his back before driving off too. David moved but promptly stopped before you. One of his feet resting on the floor. He caressed your cheek with his gloved hand, watching you carefully. You felt pulled as if the boy's leaving was pulling your heart along with them. "You think to much." David hummed teasingly, staring into your eyes. "Come back to the boardwalk tomorrow; I'll come and find you," he instructed, not leaving any room for debate.
"How'll you manage that?" You taunted, your breath hitching as he promptly leaned closer.
But instead of a snarky remark, his hand that rested on your cheek slid back. Tangling his fingers in your hair, keeping a firm grip on the back of your neck as he pulled you in for a searing kiss. Sparks flew, and you were sure you could have burnt yourself at the searing heat of the kiss. David wasn't gentle, and there was a dominating eagerness to his lips that commanded your utter acceptance. His teeth playfully nipped your bottom lip, pulling it slowly as he parted. You pulled away with lidded eyes, observing the same intoxicated look flash across David's features.
"See you tomorrow, baby." He chuckled, roaring his engine before leaving you. It took you several minutes to recuperate, walking back into the main center of the boardwalk.
Walking past a closing video store, you weren't really paying attention to your surroundings. The sound of a man's voice pulling you out of your daze, looking around your eyes connected with those of a middle-aged man. You recognized him as the video store owner, who must've said something to you.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" You asked, now focused on the man.
"I said you should stay away from those bikers; they're nothing but trouble." His words seemed stern, yet they had the unnerving power to upset you.
"Yeah, you know them or something?" You asked in an accusatory tone, hearing the man shake his head with a small sigh.
"You've got the same attitude as them; if it were up to me, I wouldn't let you in. But Lucy always wanted a daughter." The man's tone turned sadistic as he got closer, pushing you into a nearby alleyway. Panic shot through you, every fiber of your being screaming at you to run. Something was wrong, terribly wrong. But before your fight or flight response could kick in, you were knocked against the wall with such force the wind was knocked out of you. Leaving you disoriented and wheezing for air.
You felt his fangs graze your skin, a small sob escaping you. A fear of dying, hate for pain, and lingering betrayal being too much for your eyes to hold. What did Lucy have to do with this? You didn't deserve to die, not like this!
You were scared. One of your hands placed itself on his chest, clenching the fabric of his jacket between your fingers as you desperately tried pushing him away. Thrashing as much as you could. When the pain finally arrived, you winced harshly and gasped. The hold on the man's jacket grew tighter as his jaw clenched. It fucking hurt. Hurt like hell. But he refused to move, not wanting to make the feeling worse. The longer you stood there, the more accustomed you felt to the dull aching. It was an awful feeling, leaving you feeling dirty all over, but whatever was happening, it sparked hopes that you might get out of this alive.
You could feel particular sharp sparks of pain whenever you moved, shifting the puncture wounds. Your mind grew cloudy the longer he drank.
"Stop.." You whispered, the words sounding frail and weak. The man needed to stop. Your body was slowly growing light, the feeling of dizziness and sleepiness festering inside you. The hand holding onto him loosened its grip before slowly falling against your side.
Your tears had stopped a few minutes ago, your cheeks glistening from the wetness. Your eyes grew dull in color, silently fighting yourself to stay awake. You could practically hear your heart hammering against your chest, each beat loud and overwhelming as it rang through your ears.
It felt like you were dying, and a part of you was convinced you actually were.
Your body was in a state of searing, burning pain. Your heartbeat rang like cathedral drums, harsh and loud before the sound turned quiet. One beat, a pause, then silence. Your body limp and cold, your lifeless body let the blood of its murderer wash down your tongue.
Suddenly everything began to burn inside you; your mouth ached horribly, and your fingertips too. Your body felt freezing cold until some drop of relief washed over you, and through your mouth came a small stream of euphoria. Practically lighting your every fiber on fire. Your eyes opened, no longer their usual color but a vivid yellow. Your hand instinctively grabbed the man's wrist, your mind going blank as you sink your teeth into the crimson liquid.
A sigh of relief escaped you as you closed your eyes, swallowing greedily as you calmed the burning inside yourself. You didn't let the man budge, your new, sharpened nails practically digging into his forearm. You felt insatiable; no matter how hurriedly you lapped and sucked on the wound, you wanted more, more blood.
You didn't relent; you practically couldn't. But the urge to look up at your murderer was undeniable. You pulled away, a small trail of the man's blood trailing down the corner of your lips as you looked up at him. Large, doe-eyed hungry eyes stared up at him, the look of a pure predator.
You had died in that alleyway, after all; a part of you just knew that. With speed unrecognizable, you ran away, not sure where, but far, far, away from the boardwalk.
The next night, David and the others did not find you at the boardwalk. But none of them were just going to let you go like that, no, not when mates were so hard to find. It was hard enough for them to have let you go last night, and if it wasn't for the threat of the approaching sun, they wouldn't have. Their boardwalk princess was missing, and there would be hell to pay if they didn't find you soon.
Yoooo are requests still open or did I miss the window? If I did, just ignore this lol! In light of the season finale, may I request a Husk/Reader (headcanon or whatever you feel) where the two of them spend the night before the extermination spending time together? Maybe taking about how they're both scared but will do each other's best to protect one another (and their new friends 🥺) and cuddling for comfort? Drown me in whatever fluff you got 💖💖
Husk X Reader [Comfort]
In which extermination is just a day away, and the only thing in the world that matters to him is you. Reader is genderneutral.
Being together was the single thing he looked forward to in all his time in hell
And to think it may all end in a single showdown tomorrow, to say he was terrified was an understatement
You'd both decided to stay and fight for the hotel; it was the only place that had ever welcomed you both without a list of exceptions and clauses
Well, Husk had been forced, and where Husk went, so did you
But you'd taken kindly to calling it your home
His wings were folded around you, bubbling the two of you in a cacoon that included your comfortable bed and warm sheets
The hotel was eerily silent, as everyone had resigned to their own spaces to do whatever they felt they needed to, mostly to say goodbye in case they didn't get the same opportunity later
Husk was far from the emotional type, but recently he''d found himself letting his walls down
And who got him at his least defensive except for you?
Seeing you curled into his grap, he couldn't help but trace his claws along your arm, hoping to soothe you further
He knew you were scared; you'd gotten along so well with most of the patrons—hell, you got along with almost everyone he ever saw you meet—and he was sure you were more worried about others than yourself
His gaze is sombre, best described as lukewarm, as he shifts from the cold thought of losing you and the warm thought of seeing you wrapped up in his wings like a present
" Husk? "
" Mmh? "
" You're sad. "
" Well, Ive seen a lot in my life, but I don't think anything prepared me for tomorrow. "
His gruff voice was just as tired as yours, almost exhausted by the idea of what tomorrow might look like
The way you pushed your head further into his chest told him you felt the same, too
He didn't believe in Charlie's plan, but he hoped that if anything happened, you'd be forgiven by the heavens and let in on his behalf
Author's Note - This feels like such a sweet and salty mix of emotions but I still hope it's what you were looking for! I'm glad I got to another request of yours xoxo
(Hopefully this is along the lines of what you meant, Anon! Let me know if not~!)
And sorta, but it doesn’t cover all my *N.S/F.W/ audio posts! I’m going to post them all here though, because I wanted to give you all a chance to listen to those recordings here before I delete them! They’ll be available until the evening of the 16th (maybe). I’ll try to keep them up for as long as I can. :’) I just gotta delete them in time to let tumblr know my blog has been purified to their standards.
Either way, here they are, Folks~! I’ll reblog the post for ppl periodically, and I’ll be posting a list of my SFW recordings as well, for easy access! (And that one I won’t have to delete~!)
The impact Spiderverse has on art and artists is INSANE. Everyone is drawing, everyone is CREATING. From colour studies, to the art style studies, to making sona influenced by the movies' character designs. AI generated images are nowhere to be seen, and I hope they're going to stay buried in the uncreative pits they belong in... the world is in balance.
