In line at the store, standing on the tape conveniently placed in 6’ intervals.

Woman gets in line behind me, standing uncomfortably close to me even if there weren’t, oh I don’t know, a global pandemic going on.

A designated worker who’s sole purpose seems to be monitoring people informs her of the tape on the ground and to please step back to the tape behind the one I’m at.

The woman’s response was “You don’t need to tell me where to go, I’ll stand where I choose to.”

I take this as the PERFECT opportunity to muster up a cough and start hacking into my shoulder, missing a little bit.
