The holidays are finally over and done with. All the excitement of last year has come to an end. I can honestly say that I’m quite looking forward to a quite year this year. I don’t know about you guys but I plan on doing pretty much nothing this year, no projects nothing big. It seems like it’s going to be a year of self focus and I couldn’t ask for anything more exciting. @hollyweirdstarters​

hope everyone that watched enjoyed the harry potter anniversary special but it’s still streaming for those who missed it. i had such a great time doing it even when i got emotional thinking about the ones who aren’t here anymore. that whole cast is very special to me. now that it’s 2022 did anyone make new years resolutions? i’m always afraid to break them or not complete them. can’t believe how fast january came honestly. @hollyweirdstarters​

it was so lovely, really! sometimes i forget how long the films have been out since it feels like they’ve just always been there, you know? i just want to hug all of you, one at a time and also all at the same time. i don’t like resolutions, i either forget or i don’t stick with it and feel bad. i think i’m more of a take it day by day kind of person and not a year long commitment person.

2021 was an amazing year for me, mostly professionally. The new season of The Witcher is doing so well, the fans seemed to have really enjoyed it and that couldn’t make me happier. the new season is amazing, you should be proud! geralt is real easy on the eyes, you know that, but yennefer is a straight goddess. are you excited to get started on the next season or are you still reveling in all the love from this one? i worked on a project that got shut down for a bit this last year for safety, but i hope we get to wrap it up for production this year!

why does the time period between now and new year honestly not feel real? i keep having to remind myself what day it really is. especially when i have no work to keep me right. we all know about the christmas traditions on the day but tell me, what do you after christmas? cause for me it’s all about eating leftover curled up on my sofa and watching movies - first on my list, nightmare before christmas. i love it so much. @hollyweirdstarters​

i think it’s dumb that there’s just a couple normal days between christmas and new years, i want the whole week to be fun stuff. the day after christmas is the best leftover day of the year, it should get it’s own holiday. my plan was to find a movie to watch, but i can’t stop watching ted lasso. it’s so much cuter than i thought it would be.

it’s premature, but i gotta know: have we as a society progressed beyond the need for new year’s resolutions, or are we still clinging to those dying dreams? i’ve gotten plenty of suggestions from my family at christmas dinner — totally unsolicited, too — ranging from becoming an art snob and putting something other than paint on my walls, moving to france and learning how to make crepes right from the source, and doing the whole newly-divorced woman thing by chopping all my hair off or going red. how about you all, got any big plans for the new year, or are you still coming down off the holidays to even entertain thoughts of 2022? let me live vicariously through you, please. hi, i’m jen, and no, i can’t fire the bow and arrow anymore. i’ve really let myself go. disappointing, i know. you just reminded me of the episode of the office with the resolutions board, and now i don’t even remember what my take on resolutions was. i’m just terrible at following through with them because i always forget what they were a week later. tell your family that your resolution is to be better than everyone so you don’t think it’ll be that difficult to do, and they’ll be so shocked they won’t even have anything else to say. i’m just here to be a bad influence, clearly. hi, i’m madelaine!
