I Am Yours - austin x reader
Inspired by I Am Yours by Andy GrammerÂ
You would always be proud of Austin for chasing his dreams. You were proud to have a front row seat to his life changing. Most of the time. It was days like this you feel unworthy to be loved by Austin. Itâs currently 10:30 your time which means itâs about 6:00 am Australia time. You havenât been able to talk to him since yesterday morning due to your conflicting schedules. You would have gone with him to Australia but you had business back home you had to be present for.Â
You have a tendency to overthink the littlest things, not just with your boyfriend but in general. If someoneâs tone is off, you notice it and then think about it for the next month so not talking to Austin for as long as you have makes you believe the worst.Â
Heâs found somebody else.Â
I should have gone with him.Â
He forgot about me.Â
Your phone rings and you look to see Austinâs contact photo flash on the screen. Your mood is ruined now. Heâs gonna pick up on it. You canât do it right now. You decline the call hoping to pull yourself together but Austin doesnât give you the chance because he calls you back immediately.Â
Thereâs nothing you can do because you know if you decline it again, heâs gonna be upset with you because you arenât answering his calls.Â
You slide your finger across the screen, his bright smile lighting up the screen. You decided to keep the phone laying on your desk, hoping to gain your composure before having Austin see you upset.Â
âHi love.â Austin says as the phone call connects.Â
âHi love.â you replyÂ
âWhereâs my girl?â he asks curiously
âI have a lot of work to do tonight, babe. Iâm so sorry.âÂ
Honestly you were doing whatever possible to get him to hang up. You wanted to overthink in peace. Maybe even sob into a pint of ice cream,Â
âI know you and I know thatâs a lie. You always make sure to have your work done just in case I call you.âÂ
Damn it. He knows you too damn well.Â
âNot to mention, you havenât made eye contact with me once. You only do that when youâre thinking. When youâre thinking, I lose my girl.â
âAustin, Iâm fine.â you say trying to get him to focus on something other than you.Â
âHey, no, we donât do that. Talk to me.âÂ
âItâs stupid.âÂ
âThat is the furthest thing from the truth. If itâs on your mind, I would really like to be let in so I am able to help you. I understand if you donât want to tell me everything right away. All I ask is for a little insight. It doesnât have to be much.âÂ
âI understand.â you say. You take a moment to finally make eye contact with him. You realize what people mean when they say âEyes are the windows to the soul.â As you look at Austin, you realize that his soul is made up entirely of you.Â
What are you doing? Why arenât you talking to him? Heâs here for you.Â
âIf you need a minute, Iâm happy to just sit here with you. You are allowed to tell me as little or as much as you would like. Take all the time you need.âÂ
You nod before closing your eyes and taking a deep breath,Â
âItâs justâ Iâm not there with you and the time difference and the headlines and gossip. It makes me feel like youâre going to forget me. Iâve seen the paparazzi photos, Austin. You and Olivia look pretty damn cozy.â you take a breath trying to calm yourself down.Â
You didnât realize how upset you actually were about this whole situation.Â
Iâm sorry. I shouldnât have gotten so upset.â you say as you make eye contact with Austin.Â
âLove, you have every right to be upset. I completely understand. Would I like you here by my side every minute? Yes. Do I wish when I got anxious before press and events you were by my side? Yes. Do I wish afterwards it was just the two of us? More than anything.âÂ
âAustin, please.â you practically beg him. You already feel bad enough not being there with him.Â
âJust let me finish. There is a point to this. I promise.â he says.Â
You look at him, waiting for him to continue.Â
âI also know that you are kicking ass back at home and as much as I wish you were here with me, I could not be more proud of you.âÂ
Your eyes were welling with tears.Â
âFor years I have been lost. Lost without you. I didnât understand what my purpose was in this life. But I know who I am now. I am yours.âÂ
You were full on sobbing now.Â
âI am yours now and always. I wouldnât dream to be anything more. You take my breath away every time. I honestly still canât believe it when you say youâre mine.âÂ
This distance was hard on both of you but moments like this makes you stop and realize that you donât want anybody else.Â
âLove, I donât think you will ever truly know how much you saved me. It was the first time that you smiled at me. I knew right then that I was put on this earth to love you.âÂ
âI will tell you that as much as I need to in order for you to believe it. I love you so much.âÂ
âI love you more than you know.âÂ
You were going to bed that night wondering how you got so lucky to be loved by Austin.Â
âI made a wish on an eyelash Made a wish on elevens
Made a wish on my birthday Talk about you to Heaven
I plan my days all around ya Planets orbit around ya
I was lost till I found ya I think angels surround yaâ

If In 10 Years Time - austin x reader
Your previous relationship was one you thought would last forever. You had the picture perfect relationship. That was until he left to pursue acting. He said it was better for him to be alone until he figured out if the acting scene was for him.Â
Apparently the Hollywood scene was just made for him because it had been a decade since you last saw him.Â
Austin Butler was now one of the most sought-after stars in Hollywood, booking roles left and right after his Oscar-worthy performance in Elvis and rightfully so.Â
You had been keeping tabs on your first love for many years, seeing him in every role he ever had and admiring him from a distance. You would always be proud of him, no matter what.Â
A Few Days LaterÂ
Today was your day off. Thank God. You had decided that you were gonna watch movies all day and stay in your pajamas.Â
It was a few hours later and you were watching The Polar Express. It was November. It was Christmas as far as you were concerned. You decided to light up your fireplace and were drifting in and out of consciousness when your phone started ringing. You thought that the Caller ID read your ex-boyfriends name. That couldnât be right. It had been a decade. âHello?â you ask cautiously.Â
âHi, Y/N. Itâs been a while.âÂ
This canât be right.Â
âAustin?âÂ
âItâs me.â he respondsÂ
âMay I ask why youâre calling? It has been 10 years.âÂ
âWell, funny you should ask Y/N. Iâm actually in town shooting and that got me thinking about you. Would you want to grab dinner with me while Iâm here, if youâre free of course!âÂ
âIs that really the best thing to do Austin?âÂ
âWhatâs the harm, Y/N?âÂ
You pause, taking in his words âWhatâs the harm?âÂ
âDo you still live in that little house you were looking at when we were together?â he asks you.Â
âHow do you know that?â you ask, your eyes widen as if you forgot you were on the phone.Â
âI always keep tabs on my girl, Y/N. Whether weâre together or not. Pick you up at 7?â
You hang up the phone, in disbelief that he still knows how to make your heart beat as if you're a teenager again.Â
Nothing was going to happen. You couldnât allow it. You knew the truth. If you let your guard down, even just a little bit, he would be in your heart and that couldnât happen. You couldnât take the pain of him leaving you again like he was bound to do.Â
As you got ready for your night with Austin, a million thoughts went through your mind.Â
Does he look the same? Does he still enjoy acting like he did when you were together? Is he still your home? Does he still love you as much as you love him, even after all this time?Â
Those were questions for later on in the night. First, you had to pick out an outfit.Â
A Few Hours LaterÂ
You had settled on an outfit but the butterflies hadnât settled in your stomach. The doorbell rings and you go into auto-pilot as you head toward the door.Â
Austin POV
Y/N opens the door and she looks as beautiful as she did all those years ago, even better if that were possible. All I know is that I could see this view a thousand more times if I was allowed. She was everything I would ever need. My heart will forever belong to her.
Your POVÂ
I open the door to see Austin on the other side. I swear I could see him looking me up and down and he wasnât afraid to show it. âYou look beautiful.âÂ
He was dressed in just a white t-shirt and black jeans with his golden curls all messily atop his head. God, heâs so pretty. How could I have let him go? Thatâs gonna change tonight. âYou donât look so bad yourself,â you say as a smile creeps on your face.Â
âYou ready to go?â he asksÂ
âOf course I am." you replyÂ
As you lock up your apartment, you feel Austinâs hand take a hold of yours.Â
âYou were shaking. Itâs okay. You know Iâll always be there for you, no matter what capacity.âÂ
You let out a breath you didnât know you were holding. With just the touch of his hand, he was able to quiet my unspoken fears.Â
Once out on the road, it was like going back in time, singing to the words of the song playing on the radio. You and Austin had gone back in time, back to the loving teenagers you once were.Â
At the diner you were excited to be able to really talk to Austin, seeing where life had taken him and hopefully seeing where you would fit into his life now after all this time.Â
You sat there for a minute waiting for your food to be done but unable to look him in the eyes. What if Iâve changed too much? He wonât love me anymore. Â
âY/N.â You look at him with wide eyes. âI know somethingâs wrong? What is it? You can tell me anything.âÂ
Why did I look down? He can still read me like his favorite book.Â
âYou want the truth?âÂ
âAlways and forever.â he replies, looking at you like there is no one else in the room. That has never changed.Â
ââIâm just wondering why you randomly decided to call me? We didnât end on the best terms.âÂ
He looks at you apologetically. âThat was my fault. Leaving you was, no it is, the greatest regret of my life, Y/N. These past 10 years have been a whirlwind but whenever I get a chance to breathe, the only thing that comes to mind is you. You are my constant. The one thing that keeps me going.â he stops to take your hands in his.Â
âYou havenât had relationships? What about Vanessa? Kaia? I keep tabs on you, believe it or not.âÂ
You see a hint of a smile creep on his lips. âThey were there as a distraction. They kept my mind busy. I didnât love them, Y/N. No matter what job I take, what new city Iâm in, who Iâm hanging out with, Iâm wishing I had you there next to me.âÂ
You officially start to cry.Â
âHey, hey hey. I didnât mean to make you cry, love.âÂ
âI promise they are happy tears.âÂ
You wanted to go back to your place and figure out what was gonna happen next. Austin being the gentleman he is, opened your door for you and drove you home. Getting into that car with him, it was like nothing had changed. Both of you fell harder for each other than you did the last time you were together, unknowingly to the other person.Â
âDo you want ice cream? I know that you always had to keep a pint in the freezer for your after dinner cravings.âÂ
âYou remember that?âÂ
âI remember everything, love.âÂ
âI have a pint of chocolate on the top shelf. Iâll share with you.âÂ
âWow, you never shared your ice cream when we were together.âÂ
âThere are some things that you donât know about me, Butler.âÂ
A blush rises to his cheeks at the nickname.Â
âGo sit down. I got this.Â
You go and sit on the couch, turning on The Polar Express.Â
While waiting for him to join you on the sofa, your overthinking creeps in.Â
Is he gonna leave me again? Maybe this shouldnât happen. I shouldnât have said yes. Heâs gonna hurt me again.Â
He sits next to you and you give him a small smile but he can tell when your overthinking hits you.Â
âHey, hey hey. Whatâs going on?â He sets the ice cream on the coffee table to give you his full, undivided attention.Â
âNothing.â you say shaking your head, trying to change the subject.
âI know you better than anyone. I know when you get in your head. Talk to me.âÂ
âIâm scared Austin. I should actually say terrified. I donât want to start this up again just for you to leave me again. I canât go through that again. I wonât let myself go through it again.âÂ
âDo you know how much I missed you? Really? I laid awake every night for the better part of a decade because I couldnât believe that I let my girl get away. I let you leave and I didnât even try to stop you. That kills me. I understand that itâs gonna take some time for you to trust me again and Iâm willing to do anything I need to do but I know for certain that I will do everything I can to prove to you that this is the right thing to do. Just tell me that youâre still mine.âÂ
You take a moment to look at Austin. The amount of love in his eyes for you is so evident but there is still a little twinge of doubt in your brain which is still at the forefront of your mind.Â
âI donât know Austin.â you say as you turn away from him.Â
He just holds your hands tighter. âY/N. Look at me when I say this to you.âÂ
You slowly look back toward him. âNo matter where we are in our lives, you still have my heart. When you left, I shut down. I locked up my heart and youâre the only one who has ever had the key.â
birthday girl - austin x reader
AN: I thought that in honor of today being my birthday, I would write this and imagine this happening to me :)
Your birthday was the one day a year you let your friends take you to a bar. You knew what the night was going to entail. Drinks were going to flow and dancing was going to be done. You were ready for it. As your best friends got ready at your place, singing, and dancing, your anxiety started to get the better of you.Â
âYouâre gonna be fine, love.â
âReally?â you ask concernedÂ
âYes. Thereâs nothing to be scared of! Who knows you may find the love of your life tonight!â she tells you excitedlyÂ
Thatâs a long shot. Â
You arrive at the bar and your friends are eager to get drinks for you. All you want to do is dance with your friends.Â
âBIRTHDAY SHOT, BIRTHDAY SHOT, BIRTHDAY SHOT!!!â All of a sudden, youâre being dragged to the bar with shots being poured for you. âBIRTHDAY GIRL, TAKE YOUR SHOTS!â your friends are telling you. You take a shot without making a face.Â
âI wanna dance!â you say as you head to the dance floor. It could have been the music or the alcohol going to your head but you actually were starting to have a good time do much so that you donât notice a pair of arms snaking around your waist. Arms that you donât reconigize.Â
You sober up within a second as you try to fight off these unknown arms with no success. You try to look for your friends but they are off in their own little worlds with their dates for the night. The room starts to spin. Get off of me you say but no words come out of your mouth. âGET OFF OF ME.â you scream at the top of your lungs with no sucess.Â
This isnât happening.Â
âShe said get off of her. Do you not have ears, douchebag?â you hear a voice that you donât reconigze. All you can see is blonde hair before youâre ripped away as said douchebag is thrown to the floor. âDonât try it again and the floor will be where you wish you could be.âÂ
âAre you okay? Are you hurt?â the mystery guy asks you, concern filling his face. âIâm okay.â you replyÂ
A look of confusion filled your face âI guess I should introduce myself.â mystery blonde boy says smiling.Â
âThat would be nice seein as you just saved me from a situation that could have been much worse.âÂ
âIâm Austin.â he says.Â
âWell, nice to meet you Austin. What brings you to town?âÂ
âIâm actually here for work. Thatâs why Iâm in town. Iâm in the bar to blow off some steam after a long week.â he replies smiling.Â
âWhat is a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this on a night like this?â he says as his eyes lock with yours.Â
âIf you must know, itâs my birthday and Iâm here with my friends, although I hve no idea where they disappeared too.âÂ
âWell happy birthday pretty girl. May I offer to buy you a drink?â
âYes you can. As long as I can steal you for one dance.âÂ
âIt would be an honor, birthday girl."
Beautiful
beautiful tonight - austin x reader
You were sitting next to the love of your life, listening to all the speeches your friends and family were making about the two of you. It was your wedding reception. You couldnât believe that you were actually married to the guy that you had fallen in love with when you were just a teenager.Â
âYou always had a soft spot for Austin, Y/N. â your mother said. âI always knew you two were meant for each other.âÂ
You look over at Austin with a sweet smile.Â
After your mother finished up, you blew her a kiss and your husband took the mic from her.Â
âHello friends, family. Now, Iâm not really one for speeches so this isnât a speech. This is me talking to Y/N. Hope you'll donât mind.â you laugh as he turns to you.Â
âI remember the first night that I showed up at your door. I remember the way you smiled at me and that yellow sundress that you wore. I would have said it right then if my tongue wasnât tied but you looked beautiful that night.â you could already feel the tears coming up into your eyes. You had to hold it together.Â
âOn that same night, it was sometime after midnight and we were sitting at the bar and you lit up like a scoreboard when we started talking about your family and our plans for the future. I could have said it then that you looked beautiful that night.âÂ
âWalking up the stairs to Apartment 143, you were unpacking boxes in one of my t-shirts and bare feet. Do you remember I stopped you in the kitchen? I told you that you looked beautiful tonight. You didnât think that it was true.âÂ
You laughed thinking back on that night.Â
âY/N. Every time you smile and every word you speak itâs a work of art. I feel so blessed to be able to watch you be just the way you are. You donât have to try. You look beautiful tonight.âÂ
âThere will never be a day that it isnât true. I love you so much.â

Roll Over Baby - Austin x reader
AN: I hope you enjoyed ths! Please don't be afraid to request prompts for future fics!
Inspired by Roll Over Baby by LANY!Â
It was yet another night of you sleeping alone in the home you were supposed to be sharing with your boyfriend Austin. You knew that starting a relationship with an actor would be difficult but you could never have imagined this. He was never home and if he was, you were already asleep by the time he pulled in the driveway. On the off-chance, you actually got to spend time together, he was always looking at his phone making other plans.Â
Plans that never seemed to include you - the women that was supposedly the love of his life - the woman he planned to marry and start a family with.Â
You had made plans with Austin that you were so excited for - but as you open up Instagram to kill time before he comes, you see that heâs out at a club with friends - not with you. Why did you think this time would be any different? As you drive home, tears well up in your eyes and all you wanna do is go to sleep.Â
The Next MorningÂ
As the sun peeks through your blinds, the bed feels different. There seems to be more weight added onto it. As your eyes adjust to the sight in front of you, you are in shock. Your boyfriend is actually home when you wake up. You didnât even realize you were staring at him until he spoke up.Â
âLike what you see babe?â he asks you, his voice still laced with sleep.Â
âAlways.â you reply to him, a smile creeping onto your face.Â
âDonât you have work today?â you ask himÂ
âNot until later. That means we can stay in bed all morning. Iâve missed you, Iâm so sorry that Iâve been so busy. I know you better than anyone so I know how this makes you feel without even hearing you express your emotions.âÂ
How could you be mad at him when he says that? I mean heâs right. He knows you better than anyone.Â
âIâve missed you.âÂ
âSo have I, love. You have no idea. I will make this up to you. You deserve to be treated like a queen and that starts now.â
You were happy.Â
A Few Weeks LaterÂ
Your life was everything you had ever hoped for. Your relationship with Austin was better than it has ever been. You were able to get some time off and travel with Austin so you could see what he does on a daily basis on set. You got to go home with him every night and on the days that you werenât able to be on set, you were able to be at your shared apartment when he got home at a reasonable hour.Â
As you were getting dinner ready for the two of you, you hear the door unlock. Within a few minutes, Austinâs arms were wrapped around your waist, holding you as if he will never leave you alone again. âHi, pretty girl. I missed you.â, the rasp in his voice becoming dominant.Â
âHi, my love.â you reply as your head leans into his chest. âAre you ready to eat?â you ask him.Â
âOf course. Iâve been waiting all day for this.âÂ
As you and Austin set the table, his phone goes off. You are able to glance over at what was on the screen.Â
Are you still coming to the cast party tonight, AB?Â
Your heart broke right then and there. He was doing the same thing he did before. Making plans and leaving you at home, alone.Â
The dinner was quiet because if you spoke, you knew your emotions would run higher than they needed too. Austin noticed but he didnât push the matter. Why were you so upset? He hasnât even looked at his phone since the minute he got home. You kept picking at your food, not really having an appetite anymore so you decide to clean up and head to bed.Â
Austin cleans up after you go up the stairs and follows you up the stairs, trailing a few minutes behind you as a way of giving you space. When he arrives at your door he knocks cautiously. âY/N? Can I come in? Can you tell me why youâre so upset?âÂ
âCome in.â you say. Your voice sounded so small through the door.Â
He opens the door as you quickly wipe your tears away, hoping he doensât see.Â
âHey, hey, hey! Love, whatâs the matter?â he asks you, his face laced with concern.Â
âNothing. Itâs nothing.â you say hoping to change the subject.
âI come in here and my girl is crying and you wanna say that itâs nothing? Come on. You can talk to me.âÂ
You knew he wasnât going to let it go.Â
He stood there waiting for you to speak, not pushing the issue of why you were clearly upset.Â
âLately our relationship has been going pretty well, I would like to say. I would like to think that we see eye to eye on most things.âÂ
Austin nods waiting for you to continue.Â
âSo why did I see you being invited to a cast party and you didnât even mention it to me.âÂ
He shakes his head in defeat.Â
âIt was brought up on set today. I was going to tell you about it after dinner.âÂ
âWhy couldnât you tell me during dinner? That seems like a reasonable conversation for the dinner table.âÂ
âI wanted to wait until after dinner because I know how you would react.âÂ
âHow would I react Austin?âÂ
âExactly like this if I had told you during dinner.âÂ
âThis isnât us. Itâs not like us to be staying up to fight.âÂ
âMost of the past few months, weâve been so in love.âÂ
âWhat did I do? What did I say? I always screw things up.â you ask putting your head in your hands.Â
âThis is not your fault, love. Itâs mine. I should have told you as soon as I walked in the door.âÂ
âIâm gonna go to sleep now. Iâve had enough tonight.â you tell him as you visibly become more emotional.Â
âTomorrow weâll be just fine but letâs not waste tonight.â he tells you trying to get you to talk to him.Â
You say goodnight and face away from him, your voice crackingÂ
âRoll over baby, please. Donât be upset. How can you fall asleep when you feel like this?âÂ
With your head still turned away, he sits at the edge of your bed. âLove, let me please pour you a glass of Dr. Pepper and we can sit together and you can say whatâs on your mind.âÂ
You slowly turn your head towards him.Â
âIâm always on your team love, always.âÂ
âYou have some work to do, Austin. Itâs not gonna be this simple all the time.âÂ
âI understand that. Iâm willing to do whatever you need me to do. All you have to do is say the word amd I will do whatever you want from me.âÂ
I canât discuss it anymore tonight. Iâm tired, Austin.â you say as sleep begins to overcome you.Â
He lays down next to you opening his arms for you.Â
âRoll over baby, let me hold you.â
