lowkey i'm a bit nervous cuz this will be my first time tableing, so I need all the luck I can get to offset the anxiety lmao
Back in 2021 I got my freelancing start with a little band called Pinkshift, making art for their first EP, Saccharine. It was my first time working with musicians and my very first album project ever.
Now, 5 years later, I get to revisit this project as a full time freelancer with more than 15 album projects under my belt and 30+ musician clients over the years. Truly I have my entire career because of this project and it's very special to get the chance to revisit it with some new artwork.
So, here's the latest gig poster created for Pinkshift and their upcoming Saccharine anniversary tour.
May I print your "You are not cooked" and "do not obey in advance" posters tho hang up around my neighborhood?

what were your stylistic influences if you don't mind me asking or like how did you develop ur style of art bcs it's so recognizable and sick

I actually got a similar question awhile back and talked about some style influences over on IG & Tiktok in an older vid if you're curious.
There I break down what details I specifically take from each influence but to summarize:
my style is kinda a mix of western comics (I particularly like Becky Cloonan's work), neo-traditional tattoos, and old school punk graphic design. I also take a bit of stuff from retro horror movie promo material.
Definitely a big mix of stuff!

i specifically wanted to experiment and learn audio editing stuff and my latest magnus archives piece provided a great excuse to do so

Biggest tip is to look into the fundamentals of visual design hierarchy. Ask yourself as you're making a composition "what do I want the viewer to notice first, second, third, etc?"
On a more granular level, you can specifically look into Gestalt Principles.
There's a lot of formal design education that kinda informs my composition choices. Ultimately you're looking to create a visual experience that's easily digestible (and nice to look at), so learning how to do that is key.

never feel bad for not having any spare funds to throw my way. While the financial support is nice (as I do make art as a full time career now), I never want there to be an expectation ya know?
