Temptations

My priest at church today said something along these lines. “Saint Augustine said that if he was tempted and sinned, he would have pleasure for a short time but after the act, he would have a lingering sadness. If he was tempted and chose not to sin though, he would be sad for a moment because he had to give up this thing but afterwards, he would have a lingering happiness”. The wording may be slightly off but Saint Augustine is completely right! He described it perfectly! I love this! Lord, thank you for letting me hear that
