My life was vastly easier while presenting as a cis woman. Point blank. There's a lot more transphobia out there than just people clocking you immediately. Doctors and healthcare workers always know I'm trans, and I'm unable to be stealth at work bc I've been transitioning there.

Also, being gay and assumed to be a gay man means I'm generally treated with disdain by the majority of men I meet. I have never been accepted into mainstream masculinity, whether it was bc I didn't pass as cis, or bc I'm not traditionally masculine. I can assure you that fem-leaning cis gay men are not treated as well in society as you probably assume, depending on where you live.

Currently dealing with a new "straight" coworker who found out I'm trans and has been too touchy-feely, all while making Mulan jokes around me. I pass as a cis guy but he doesn't see me as one. There's literally always some kind of transphobia that I'm dealing with. The instant that people know you are trans, "passing privilege" completely disintegrates.

At this point I tend to not trust most trans people I meet until I hear how they talk about trans men and transmascs. We are all under the same boot, although yes, there are varying levels of danger.

It's just been really sad to have to deal with transphobia on top of queer people who apparently have forgotten that intersectionality is a thing.

Started replaying Borderlands TPS bc BL4 was announced. The nostalgia punch is INSANE. Feels like a whole lifetime ago that I played it for the first time. I think my Timothy Lawrence and Rhack hyperfixation might be returning 👀 may have to write some fanfic again.
