Andrew hadn’t been big on crowds since his brother’s death, he didn’t want to make small talk or pretend like he wasn’t constantly thinking about what to do if something happened, and where the nearest exit was. If Maelie hadn’t dragged him to Sirius and Mary’s wedding, he’d likely be in his dorm reading. But here he was lurking on the outskirts of the party, leaning against the wall with his eyes scanning the crowd when he noticed a figure nearby. “You’re missing the party by staring at me.” Andrew smirked just slightly and turned to look at them.
Maelie had been in a sour mood since her rendezvous with Clydeane - however, when she’d heard about a wedding, that mood immediately changed. She’d always loved weddings, with the flowers everywhere, the decor, the happiness in the room... she couldn’t help it. So, when Andrew told her that he wasn’t going to go, she was appalled, and managed to convince him to go. “I’m missing the party because you’re moping in the corner, actually.” She teased as she walked towards him, holding out a drink for him to take.
