In the Star Wars universe, there's no hairstyle more iconic than Princess Leia's side buns.
In 2002, Star Wars creator George Lucas told Time that the revolutionary-era women of Mexico inspired Leia’s look. “In the 1977 film, I was working very hard to create something different that wasn’t fashion, so I went with a kind of Southwestern Pancho Villa woman revolutionary look, which is what that is,” he said. “The buns are basically from the turn-of-the-century Mexico. Then it took such hits and became such a thing.”

Crystallized scorpion and two crystallized ghost cicadas. Just a sneak peak into what will be on my shop early November for the holidays! I will also be talking about my patreon a little bit. My goal is to open a lab/ studio here in Tulsa, OK. Somewhere where I can showcase my experiments and have an open place for workshops, shows, and meetings! I would even offer tours through the lab to talk about the process! My patreon is what will allow me to do this! Patreon is a platform where individuals can subscribe to pay creatives a monthly tip to support their work. In exchange you get cool content! If you subscribe for 5.00 a month you will get a monthly print in the mail from yours truly! And I will pick 5 people a month to send bonus goodies to! If you’re interested in subscribing to my work and helping me open a lab in Tulsa, go to patreon.com and search my name (Tyler Thrasher) #tylerthrasher #patreon #crystallized #scorpion #cicada #tulsa #lab #chemistry

I'm gonna kill myself
I showed a young coworker my bad emo hair from 2007 expecting the same laughter I get from fellow adults, but she deadass goes “it was cute tho?”
unironically this bombed me from orbit. that said, it's honestly extremely endearing and nice to see the kids picking out the things about our teenage years they think were cool the same way we did about the generation before us at that age. This cycle continues without end, but I think it's a nice cycle!!!
