The heart will lie to us. The Bible says that the heart is wicked. We can’t always count on it to do the right thing. At the same time, the Bible tells us that everything we say flows from our heart.
It is impossible for us to rely on our hearts to do the right thing, unless they are pure. In order to know, we must ask God to search our hearts, with the strongest possible searchlight. He alone can see the truth in our hearts. He can show us any evil leanings or hurtful intents. This is a task that we are simply not up to. Only God can purify our hearts. What a wonderful God we serve! His will be done!

Dear Father God Almighty, Lord Jesus, search me and my heart daily!
Cast out any impurities You find there - Any wickedness or deceit. Any desire to hurt others. Make my heart whole and pure. Help me hold only love in my heart all of my days. Help me to always walk in Your will and look to You when I am in trouble. You stand ready to help me, but I have to put my eyes on You. Help my thoughts to turn to You in the little pauses and intermediate moments of this day and everyday. I know You can change me through Spirit-led meditations on Your Word and that You can bless others as a result as well. Help us to all be one in You daily. May we seek You and Your Holy Word as well as the peace and all the fruits of the Holy Spirit today and everyday. Only through You, are we able to find our salvation and true peace and to understand what true love is.
Help us so we may us remember all You’ve done and still do for us and take joy in the blessings and life You have given us. May we all be humbly and faithfully honored and excited to worship, glorify and serve You daily and to do Your will. You have been so good to us, far more than we as wretched sinners deserve. You are so good! So wonderful! Forever and always!
Thank You for being my present help in times of trouble. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for giving us a reason to love others and so many more reasons to love, praise, serve and follow You. Thank you for Your selfless and sinless sacrifice. Thank you for Your guidance and protection. Thank you for Your love and mercy. Thank you for Your Truth and light. Thank you for Your wisdom and strength and grace. Thank you for everything!
Your will be done! Blessed be Your mighty name!
