Hey all! I figured I would make a little post for my blog giving a run-down of the most popular fics I've written, in case anyone came to my page and wanted to check these out. Happy reading!

Vignettes

An established relationship human AU fic made up of single chapter one-shots, not in any particular order, but all in one continuity. There are a couple of chapters rated E but most are rated T and all are pretty fluffy. It's part of a larger series which might give needed context for certain things, but mostly each chapter can stand on its own. The fic and the series on the whole are based around the experiences of a human Aziraphale who is autistic and a survivor of an abusive family. Rated E, 29k, 23 chapters and counting.

2. I Attempt from Love's Sickness to Fly (in Vain)

A standalone human au fic about Az and Crow as two university music students collaborating musically and falling in love. Aziraphale is, once again, autistic and from an unhappy home. (yeah... it's a pattern, what can I say). This fic is probably not my best work, because I basically just gave up on editing it part-way through when I got frustrated with the quality of the writing (it's one of the first things I ever wrote for the fandom and I was coming back to it after years away) despite that, I think it's very sweet and has some great moments, as well as lots of juicy angst moments, so if that sounds interesting I still recommend at least checking it out. Rated E, 22k, 16 chapters

3. In Silence Born

In the same universe as Vignetttes, this fic comprises three fairly fluffy established relationship PWP oneshots. The fic is based around exploring the idea of a person who is non-speaking during sex and how that would work practically. Rated E, 3k, 3 chapters

4. The Wax is Melting (I Need to See Under)

Canonverse fic, standalone but added to a collection of thematically similar canonverse stories, exploring the theory that Aziraphale was demoted from Cherub to Principality at some point before canon, and his reaction to the trauma of s1. Rated T, 3k, 1 chapter

5. Suck it and See

The getting-together fic of my Untitled Human AU, the series that both Vignettes and In Silence Born belong to. Features a meet-cute, awkward sex, and lots of feels. It's a good jumping-on point for the series, as it explains some of the things that come up in the two prequel fics, as well as things mentioned in the rest of the series. Rated E, 7k, 3 chapters

6. O That I on Wings could Rise

A canon-verse fic in same series, and much the same vein as The Wax is Melting. This fic explores the difficulties faced by an Azirphale who is now in a relationship for the first time in his life, traumatized by Heaven, and struggling with the idea that he might have Needs. lots of angst with a fluffy ending. Rated M, 5k, 2 chapters

7. Angels ever Bright and Fair

The first fic I ever published in the Untitled Human AU, before I had everything about it figured out entirely. Aziraphale has an uncomfortable encounter with a family member and Crowley supports him afterwards. Rated T, 2k, 1 chapter

8. I Call my Baby My Sugar

A standalone human AU fic where Aziraphale is a sugar baby and Crowley is his much younger sugar daddy. This is a fic I have a slightly odd relationship to and honestly don't feel great about how I handled the subject. But here it is, anyway. Rated E, 9k, 6 chapters

9. Turnaround

Another fic in the Untitled Human AU series, this one showing Aziraphale having a calm meditative moment of looking back on a past negative relationship and forward to a more positive one with Crowley. Rated G, 1k, 1 chapter

10. Not Unsaid

A gentle, canon verse fic exploring the theme of acts of service and non verbal ways of showing love through the ages. One of the fics I am most proud of as a writer. Rated T, 2k, 1 chapter

And Special mention.... Night and Day

My most ambitious fic and also (at the moment at least) dearest to my heart. It's an angst-heavy melodrama Human AU fic about an Aziraphale who grows up trapped in a cult that not only worms its way into his mind in insidious ways, but also controls and restricts his life to a horrifying degree. For me, this fic is the ultimate expression of "write the fic you want to read." Mind the tags, but I hope you enjoy. Rated E, 39k, 7 chapters

because if making that choice was indeed a choice... then they already had free will! and if it was the only choice they could have made because they didn't actually have a choice... then it was god's plan all along. how is any of that even remotely noble or beautiful at all.

so you’re telling me rob wilkins, executive producer of all three seasons of good omens, of the “aziraphale wanted crowley to kiss him again” fame, hated good omens s3. you’re telling me that filming for s3 wrapped in february 2025 and at the ineffable con in august 2025 rob wilkins said two things: “nothing can top the kiss... apart from... i can't talk about season 3 can i" and that there’s no reason for there not to be more aziraphale and crowley, they have their lives to live together going forward. you’re telling me that in august 2025 it was also revealed that post production was still ongoing, meaning that s3 hadn’t yet been finalized into its final cut. not even mentioning the layers of neil gaiman psychological torture this entire thing fucking goes… you’re telling me rob was EXCITED after filming but DISAPPOINTED after the release? do you know what i say to all of that? #rwse. do you know what that means? The ending of Good Omens left me genuinely upset - and not because it wasn’t happy enough. What bothers me is that the finale feels completely at odds with the story the show had been telling from the beginning.

Even before the finale came out, there was only one thing I was afraid of: Aziraphale and Crowley becoming human. Their love for humanity always came from the perspective of immortal beings with miracles at their fingertips. They could enjoy human life without experiencing most human suffering themselves. And the story was never about an angel and a demon overcoming what they are. It was about them staying an angel and a demon - and still choosing each other, Earth, ordinary life, and human happiness despite the systems they belonged to, showing that you are worthy of love, even if you have experienced terrible trauma, or you are not good enough for your family.

In the first season, the whole story works like this:

the apocalypse turns out to be not a grand tragedy, but an absurd bureaucratic mess;

nobody dies;

the Antichrist simply decides not to be the Antichrist;

Crowley doesn’t want to heroically sacrifice himself for humanity - he just wants to be with Aziraphale;

Aziraphale is initially fine with the end of the world until Crowley reminds him about sushi, wine, books, and all the small joys of Earth;

the characters save the world not because it’s “the right thing to do,” but because they love living in it.

That’s what made the story special. It was almost an anti-tragedy - a story where love for life matters more than cosmic drama.

Season two, despite the last fifteen minutes, follows the same tone. It’s basically structured like a romantic comedy: shared domestic life, trying to help other people fall in love while completely misunderstanding their own feelings, the dance, the confession, the kiss. And at the same time, the show repeatedly emphasizes how important individual identity is. The storyline with Job’s children directly says that a replacement is not the same person just because it looks similar “technically.” That’s why the finale doesn’t feel like a natural conclusion to me - it feels like it belongs to a completely different genre.

Suddenly:

saving humanity matters more than personal connection;

self-sacrifice becomes the highest expression of love;

Crowley, who once only wanted to stay with Aziraphale, chooses a dramatic cosmic sacrifice;

Aziraphale and Crowley stop existing as the main characters the story was actually about;

an alternate universe with human versions of them is treated as a happy ending for the original characters.

But it’s not really a happy ending for them. Because those versions are no longer them. It feels like their entire story was erased for the sake of a beautiful philosophical idea about love continuing in another form. And yes, I understand the symbolism. I understand why some people find that ending beautiful or meaningful. But for me, it goes against the emotional logic of the story itself.

For seven years, for me Good Omens was a warm, comforting, deeply human anti-drama comfort show. It was a story where you could survive the apocalypse and still end up sitting together in a restaurant afterward. That’s why it’s so hard for me to see the finale as fitting or satisfying. It asks the audience to accept a completely different philosophy from the one the story was built on before.

Now I feel frustrated, betrayed and deprived of my island of safety. So I’ll probably stay with the version of Good Omens where the main idea is simply: “we have each other.” To me, that feels like a far more honest ending than a tragic finale where the characters lose themselves in order to save the world.

I actually think 96 minutes is plenty of time to present a cohesive and well-thought out story that doesn’t waste itself on convoluted and ultimately useless plot points while hinging on the retconning of established and vital canon (which still doesn’t help it much)

The issue with the finale isn’t the shortened time. The issue is that at the end of the day, bad writing— whether stretched across an hour and a half or six hours— is still bad writing.

people were always the ones with free will, it was only the celestiel beings who thought they had to prescribe to the great plan exactly as it was written. ending everything and starting over from scratch not only fixes something that wasn't broken (humanity) but it also robs all those angels and demons of ever experiencing true freedom like aziraphale and crowley created for themselves. all they get for it is dead.

now imagine that that best friend who you love with every part of yourself looks you in the face and waxes poetic about how much he loves that older version of you (about how you were such an artist, you were so special, you were so perfect), but says not a single word about you. despite everything you and this friend have been through in the six thousand years that you've known him and that he's known you, and it turns out that it was not you that he cherished, but someone else entirely.

now imagine you're a writer of good omens 3, and you watched the first two seasons with your eyes closed, ears plugged, and high on fucking crack.
