Yeah, rip HakuMor shippers, Im shippers. : / Idk, it didn't seem planned to me? (I mean @liMor) Sure, Morgs crush was hinted, but that's it. A crush. Unrequited. From Alis side there was no interest in her. He only started thinking abt her as possible gf after Olba said she had feelings for him. And it felt just... cheap. And then trying to make ppl believe this relationship as romantic didn't come out of nowhere, by everyone forcibly pointing out, how good is for Ali to have Morg. C.H.E.A.P.

I really do hope Ohtaka picks up Magi again. It’s fine if she doesn’t change the end, but I hope she does some next generation thing at least? Or some other kind of spin-off?? (I vote for Yunan’s backstory) 

Magi has sold over 23 million copies & her new series haven’t even sold half a million yet from what I was searching up. That just shows so incredibly popular Magi was at its prime. 

Oh well... It’s the author’s creative work so we can’t really complain. Plus, I also think it’s because she didn’t know what else to write so she decided to leave it as is. Even though I’m not very satisfied, I’m just grateful that Magi was apart of my youth til now

I mean, I dont think it wasnt planned, but it couldve been done far better, and we knew Ohtaka was capable of doing it. So, yeah, it felt like she just got bored by the end, and wanted the manga to be over... It had this really cool Kou Trading Company Subarc (I still cant believe AliKou isnt canon, come on, @liMor had little to no development as a romantic relationship). Also that timeskip. All you had to do is make Ali show confusion and have mixed feelings, come on, he lost 3 yrs of his life.

I don’t know why she would ditch such an amazing series that would probably bring her more income if she continued it. OT but her new series “Orient” lowkey reminds me of Magi too. Maybe I’m just delusional but the concept is kind of parallel. Why would you write something similar to what you had before? 

At this point I’m not going to try and keep this blog completely spoiler-free because the manga ended nearly 2 years ago lol. I understand that AliMor was probably Ohtaka’s intention from the start (with Alibaba being the person who freed her and all)... but it just didn’t feel genuine with him just coming back after a few years and suddenly decide that Morgiana is the love of his life (RIP HakuMor shippers).

The only thing I enjoyed about the end was that possible SharrYamu child. The only ship that Ohtaka didn’t screw up lol

It felt like Ohtaka got bored with Magi and just didn't know what else to write. Of course there might have been internal issues with the editors, but overall I'm just really disappointed at how it ended. This series could have been one of the most iconic in this generation but it was just thrown out the window

there's no point in reviving a dead fandom (rip) but i just finished reading sinbad no bouken & i'm honestly heartbroken. that's how i remembered i still had this blog though lol

i deleted some of my posts that i wasn't very proud of. anyway, i want to start posting on this blog again, but honestly magi is one of those fandoms that i can't really bring myself to write fics and such for without being disappointed with the outcome. i'm going to have to revise the blog a little before i get started again ~

ohtaka really played all of us :'( there's still so much potential to what the series could have been, but it ended so abruptly...

i would vent more but idk man.. pls someone vent or talk to me thru the ask box. we need to be angry together

how would sinbad, kouen, and ja'far (separate) be as husbands and parents?

I decided to combine the two, hope you don’t mind!

Sinbad: Although he may seem distant because of his busy work, he’s quite affectionate. He likes to shower his s/o with lots of kisses when he gets back home, and loves to eat home cooked meals by his lover. He’s really good at picking up how is partner is feeling, and they know exactly what to do to make them happy. As a parent, Sinbad is very doting to his children. He brings back cool souvenirs and enjoys playing with them. He’s super protective so if he has a baby girl, he’s not letting any boys get close to her until she’s 18!! back off boyz

Kouen: Like Sinbad, he’s also super busy with his work. He’s not the type to show any emotions, but he occasionally checks with his s/o if they are content with his behavior. He likes surprising his partner with small, but expensive gifts from other kingdoms. Kouen is a bit dense with the concept of love, so he thinks pricey gifts makes up for the lack of feelings. If his partner tells him, he’ll immediately understand and tries to improve. If he’s a parent, I don’t think he’d want much kids but one or two is fine. They would have to know that he doesn’t have time for them at times, but he’ll still treat them well! Kouen would be the teacher type of dad who reads to his children and give them shitty advice.

Ja'far: HE WOULD BE THE MOST WONDERFUL HUSBAND. I’m not even kidding you. He’d be the most understanding of what his partner wants and he’ll be there for his s/o at any time. I think he’d be a lot like Hinahoho, and would be the type of husband who would mention his partner as an excuse to get out of drinking games with his fellow Generals. Ja’far would love to have lots of kids! After all, he does have a lot of experience with raising a bunch of children while traveling with Sinbad. At first, he’s going to be a little bit shaky when he realizes he’s going to be a father, especially after recalling his backstory, but then he makes a promise to himself that this is HIS child and he’s going to raise them right :’)))

Sinbad pressed his lips shut when he saw his S/O blushing quite feverishly on their shared bed. They were in loose robes and looked at him with sultry eyes as soon as he came inside. Before a second could even pass, their arms pulled Sinbad close and struggled to remove his clothing. Softly kissing his lover, Sinbad recuperated the sexual desires, but on instinct, he felt that something wasn’t right.

“Hey, what is wrong? You’re not usually like this,” he murmurs. His partner straddled him, ignoring his words and pressed another passionate kiss on Sinbad’s lips. His hands moved to their waist, pulling them closer together.

“I want you,” they said, slowly taking off the last of what was on their body. Sinbad was aroused by their boldness, but was astonished at how different they were from usual. It was almost like they were possessed by something.

Sinbad spoke carefully,“Are you okay? This isn’t like you.” He grips his S/O’s shoulders and slightly pushes them back to avoid doing something without their actual consent. His partner hesitates, burying their face into the sheets and groans regretfully.

“I think Sharrkan gave me something weird this afternoon,” they faintly mutter through the fabric. 

Although they may have made the mistake of taking drugs from an idiot, Sinbad found their little confession adorable. Needless to say, Sharrkan has to stay a mile away from Sinbad’s S/O from now on.

Friends the Magi Characters Need pt. 1

Alibaba: Alibaba needs a companion who is loyal and fun to tease. He wants a friend who can listen to his stories without falling asleep, someone who can help be his wingman to get a girl, and ultimately, someone who can make time for him so they can catch up with each other’s lives. This friendship would be so fluffy and pure, other people around them can ship these two easily.

Aladdin: Aladdin is the type of person who can befriend anyone, so he doesn’t exactly look for qualities. But the thing is, this guy trusts (almost) everyone at first, so it’s hard for him to make trustworthy friends. Aladdin needs someone who he can talk to without worrying that they might spill his secrets. Maybe someone who was lonely and outcasted and then met Aladdin, who reached his hand out towards them.

Morgiana: She needs a girl to talk to. Surrounded by men, she can’t exactly tell them who she likes, ask them what to wear for a festival, and how she should express her feeling to her crush. Morgiana needs a female companion who can fight alongside her, and it’s a bonus if her friend is a Fanalis. They could understand each other better through talking about their experiences.

Sinbad: He already has lots of friends around the world, and there is no one who doesn’t know about him. He needs a buddy who can keep him inact, much like Ja'far, but also someone who can be easygoing and quite laidback. This person reminds Sinbad to relax for a while and not to overwork himself. He needs someone who can understand the struggles of working their way to the top.
