it’s interesting how ‘queer’ has this history of being about the deconstruction of identity where queer theory originates from somewhere that is anti-identity. But now ‘queer’ has become an appendage for ‘LGBT’ and all its cult of personality and narcissism masquerading as visibility politics. ‘Queer’ needs a stronger response to current day total and intimate surveillance and it won’t be through indulgent self-centredness
