Hearts are the suit of emotions, love, relationships, partnerships and family. This suit typically looks into how yourself and others are feeling, and what people's intentions with you really are. The following are my interpretations of the individual cards.
♡ Ace ♡
I like to associate this card with a bird nest: representing potential of something new, or home. When upright, ace of hearts speaks of good news in some fashion. It commonly comes out to represent a new partnership or marriage proposal. Sometimes it just represents an agreement of some kind.
When reversed, ace of hearts warns of emptiness. Sometimes it represents that somebody is leaving the house, or that luck has run out.
♡ Two ♡
This is a very lucky card, so I like to associate it with a horseshoe. When upright, two of hearts speaks of just that: good luck. What it means in more depth depends on the reading, but it can be a few things: an exchange, flirtation or union.
When reversed, two of hearts warns of a separation. What caused the separation and if it is permanent will depend on the surrounding cards.
♡ Three ♡
This card tends to be a bittersweet one. When upright, three of hearts can warn that your cup is so full it's spilling, which isn't always a good thing. This card can also indicate that somebody wishes to speak with you to right some wrongs. If it is a relationship reading of some kind, this card can represent lack of commitment or a third wheel.
When reversed, three of hearts warns of loneliness. It further warns to avoid "filling the void" with unhealthy habits, or that somebody has already been doing so.
♡ Four ♡
This card tends to come out to represent gatherings. When upright, four of hearts can represent a party or a meeting of some kind. Sometimes it represents a secure, stable and loving relationship.
When reversed, four of hearts warns that somebody is hard to please. Your luck and boundaries are being tested.
♡ Five ♡
I like to associate this card with an altar. Specifically, a wedding altar. When upright, five of hearts indicates a major change (typically family-related). This can mean somebody starting a new relationship, getting married or a new person being brought into the world. Regardless of what it is, this card is one of commitment.
When reversed, five of hearts warns of loss or separation. Sometimes it represents falling out of love and divorce, sometimes it means other relationships falling apart.
♡ Six ♡
This is a card of loyalty and harmony. When upright, six of hearts speaks of a commitment. Somebody is making a deal or arrangement of some kind. It is something that requires the individual to be dedicated to the position.
When reversed, six of hearts warns that somebody isn't to be trusted. They aren't loyal and will not fulfill the tasks given to them, or they can't be trusted to take your side during conflict.
♡ Seven ♡
I strongly associate this card with a rattlesnake. This card is always a warning, no matter the spread or topic. When upright, seven of hearts warns of manipulation, jealousy, envy, violence or an enemy. You must remain cautious.
When reversed, seven of hearts is still a warning but a lighter one. You aren't in any serious danger but don't let your guard down. A rattlesnake can still bite when its head is cut off.
♡ Eight ♡
While many cards before this one speaks of serious commitment, this one is more on the experimental side of things. When upright, eight of hearts speaks of flirtation and sparking love. It can represent a marriage between people, but more often represents a person who is having affairs or dating often.
When reversed, eight of hearts can mean one of two things and it strongly depends on the reading. This card will either represent lack of love, or that the loyalty of one's partner is strong.
♡ Nine ♡
This is a card of wishes and luck. When upright, nine of hearts represents that somebody has been wanting something for a long time. The cards following can indicate whether or not their wish will come true.
When reversed, nine of hearts warns that the idea or desire the person has isn't lined up with reality. It's best they get a grip on their situation and find something else that works for them.
♡ Ten ♡
I associate this card with a wood stove or fireplace. When upright, ten of hearts represents comfort, joy and all the warm fuzzy feelings. This card encourages you to enjoy this while it lasts, but to be careful. Too much of a good thing can turn bad real quick.
When reversed, ten of hearts warns that happy times will be ruined. This card often represents fights between in-laws and couples.
The jacks, queens and kings represent people in my interpretations. These cards in the hearts suit tend to be individuals with lighter features: their natural hair color, eyes, skin and/or style may present lighter. This will likely not apply to every person being represented by these cards, so consider the following interpretations as well.
♡ Jack ♡
Jack of hearts is a person who may come off sweet and innocent, but really they are quite selfish and childish. They are capable of doing nice things but often expect things in return. Be careful with how much you share with them because they are prone to getting greedy.
♡ Queen ♡
Queen of hearts is a feminine-presenting individual who is both fun and passionate. Regardless of age this person is young at heart. They might be a little emotional or dramatic, but this is a person that is generally likable to the majority. They tend to be affectionate mothers/parents but might lack in the discipline department.
♡ King ♡
King of hearts if a masculine-presenting individual who influential and has a clear vision. They aren't shy by any means and actually tends to be a little more emotional. This is a person who is goal-oriented, so if they have their sights set on something try not to get in their way. They defend their loved ones viciously, so don't test their boundaries.
I rarely use this method myself, but I know people are always looking for tutorials on different methods of sigil making and not finding any.
I’ve had a few different people asking for more graph based sigil making techniques, and this is a fairly well known one that fits that category.
I hope this tutorial is coherent and answers questions instead of making things more confusing. If you have any questions, however, never be afraid to ask.
🍄 Basics: if your into goblincore and like collecting random things, but are also a witch. This is something that you will love. Charm casting! Charm casting is the act of tossing random charms/objects into a dish or tray of some sort. Each object has it’s own meaning that you give it. You can have a HUGE collection of random things to use for charm casting. This is a fortune telling way and works very well if your using tarot cards with it. However you don’t have to use tarot cards with it if you don’t want to.
🍄 Collecting: When it comes to collecting charms, you have a huge variety. Some people will buy actual charms you use to make jewelry with and keep it simple. Some will go out and about and collect random nick nacks they find in the street. It’s up to you. However upon doing so, make sure you keep in mind… What meaning does this have?
I have teeth, a piece of corn and other things in my supply. I also have a lot of rings. However each ring has a different meaning. One that has an eye means to me that someone or something is watching you or keeping an eye on you.
🍄 How to cast: Just like any other divination practice, you must ask a question. However, it’s best to place the charms into a bowl so you can easily swish your hand around and feel for the charms. Upon doing so, you then grab a hand full and throw it into a tray (or whatever your using). You’ll notice that they will scatter out, and some will stay in the middle. Many read it differently, some will read the middle and slowly work to the outside of where the charms are. And some will just focus on the middle.
Sometimes when you do cast, some little odds and ends that are unnessessary will make it’s way through the reading. If it doesn’t fit in with the rest of the reading then it’s not needed. You do not need to add it to the reading.
