The smile upon Archie’s face, almost like a light turning on when the word ‘classical’ came out of Maxie’s lips. Almost too pleased at this development, signalling of ‘I thought so’ without even saying anything. This appeased him greatly, he liked it when Maxie was taken off guard, he loosened up a little bit when he didn’t know how to act so stiff. It wasn’t like Archie was afraid of admitting he didn’t feel comfortable alone unlike the tsundere over here. It was always fun, as Maxie always expected the worst out of him to be honest.
A chuckle deep in his throat bellowed as Maxie didn’t want to be compared to a chair. Oh how he could have come back with a sassy come back, but now he was being ‘serious’ to Maxie’s liking. You gotta admit though it was true. “Mhm, sure.” Came the response, “Alright then handshake and sign on the dotted line, I have no problem with that. Unless you run them empty like yourself - they’re loyal to you like a Mightyena is to its master.” Though you could say the same thing for his own members, especially Shelly and Matt.
Oh there was more than joy now, thrilled he had bugged Maxie enough to finally where he would pay attention. His upper limbs went to rest on the arms of the chair, hands cupping the ends. “Wow Maxie, I didn’t know you had such a dirty mind.” Not even a denial but it was true that Archie was being innocently playful. Going to pat the chair’s seat, “Turn that switch off and I’ll think you’ll get what kind of company I mean. I’ll give you a few hints if you don’t get it still.”
At the comparison of Tabitha and Courtney to Mightyena, Maxie could only shrug. That was a good Pokemon after all, and honestly, Archie probably couldn't deny that as well. He's own closest members were about the same and they both owned a Mightyena so they couldn't really argue over the Pokemon's locality to that of those people.
"I have no such thing." Maxie said with annoyance as he began to glare at the man. "I never even mentioned anything of the sense as well." At least to him he didn't exactly mean anything by that when he had commented on Archie, but really what could he do with the man? He squinted his eyes in suspicion at Archie's suggestion. "I'm not touching that light Archie." Arceus forbid him to end up in the dark right now. There was no telling where Archie was trying to go with this so he was probably going to have to force him.
