I know we talk about the Losers being losers in our modern AUs, but I still feel the deepest respect for people who give Beverly dozens of piercings and ripped jeans because I feel like it fits her aesthetic.

When he remembers and tells her, she laughs herself half to death because she honestly thought it would be much worse.

IT Mod Version 1.0 (December 24, 2019)

I finally have something I feel okay putting out into the world! I’ve been working very hard to make this and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed making it. As always, there’s no paywall or ads. Anyone who wants to can download the mod.

So far, I have eight personality traits—the Losers and IT. Each trait comes with its own moodlets, social interactions, and skill/statistic modifiers. These vary based on the age your Sim is, too. (For example, take Ben to the library and you’ll notice he has some new socials. If Eddie gets stressed, he may end up with an Uncomfortable moodlet that says he’s “up here having a fucking asthma attack and so not doing this.”)

I’ll show a few screenshots, but I don’t want to give too much away. It’s no fun if some of them aren’t a surprise, right?

TV tropes saying Richie is ambiguously Jewish because he wore a yarmulke at Stan’s bar mitzvah? Wild. I support Jewish Richie (really, really support), but it’s not required that one be Jewish to wear a yarmulke in a shul. In fact, it’s widely regarded as a sign of respect for a gentile to cover their head in situations where a religious ceremony is occurring.

Imagine Stan and Patty gently bickering over whether they want a meat or dairy Thanksgiving (yes, I know it was weeks ago, sue me). Stan insists that turkey is a staple, while Patty argues that mashed potatoes are necessary. She pretends to be offended when Stan offers a compromise (probably substituting butter/cream for olive oil/chicken stock), but they eventually agree to it and store their argument for next Thanksgiving.

Stan let slip to his entire class that Santa wasn’t real when he was 8 years old. It didn’t make him many friends, but Richie slapped him on the back and laughed and it made him feel better about the situation.

A revamp (pun intended from here on out) of Slayer Beverly. Her look here is based on Buffy’s look in “The Wish,” but it’s likely to change.

A revamped (pun intended) version of vampire Pennywise for the IT AU my sister and I are working on (Slayer Beverly AU). This also functions as a callout for vampire Pennywise, who washes off blood in the sewers because he’s gross and evil. 

The letter from a previous Watcher might be hard to read, but it says: 

To the Watchers reading this: Do not underestimate the vampire PENNYWISE, though he wears a playful face and speaks in pleasing rhymes. He is not like any vampire you have faced before. He will drag your Slayer into the depths of Hell… It is what he did to my Slayer. 

Do not mistake his hiding for any sort of cowardice. Pennywise is not afraid of the Slayer.

There’s something I almost wrote but couldn’t quite manage, a soft fic centred around Stan and Patty navigating Rosh Hashanah, About the fear he holds because he can’t remember previous holidays, because he knows that everyone will trade stories at the table and he won’t have any, because there’s this wall in his mind that he can’t scratch through. And Patty just holds him and reassures him, tells him it’s okay. They’ll make new memories together.
