MX Communications is 4! Four years ago, I restarted my PR firm under the name Mahogany Xan Communications. Three years ago, I left a government position to run my company full time. It has been such a tremendous adventure. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients. I have also co-authored a book, the "Girlfriend's Guide to Social Media." Mark Your Calendar for Oct. 25… the 12th Annual Family Fun Day Event

Touchstone Behavioral Health is pleased to announce that the 12th Annual Family Fun Day event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Family Fun Day is Touchstone’s signature event that brings together the entire community for a day of fun, food, games and relaxation. It provides joy and laughter to our clients and families and it’s free! “Family Fun Day is Touchstone’s way of giving a day relaxation and fun to the families and community we serve,” said Tim Dunst, President of Touchstone Behavioral Health. “Our families deal with a lot on a day-to-day basis. On this day, they enjoy a day of just being a family without the burdens they may have. Here, they spend the day playing games, winning prizes, eating and socializing. Our families look forward to this event every year. It really is a day that all of us look forward to from our staff to our providers and partners.” Each year, more than 2,500 families participate in the Family Fun Day activities. Last year’s event included face painting, video games, ladder tours and fun in the “snow,” all set in a carnival atmosphere. The day ends with a raffle of gifts and prizes for those in attendance. There are many ways for your organization to participate as planning for the 2014 event is currently underway. Some ways you can participate include: • Participate as one of the community partners featured at the event. • Provide volunteers for one of the numerous game stations. • Serve as a sponsor of the event (Touchstone is a 501 (c) 3 organization). There are several sponsor options available, including in-kind donations. These options will provide brand awareness opportunities through a fun-filled event that is attended by thousands. Standing Together to Save 627,000 Lives! 6th Annual Red Dress Cocktail Party Combines Advocacy and Fun

For 10 years, women have been fighting heart disease individually and collectively as part of the Go Red For Women movement. They have proudly worn red, shared stories of survival and gained greater awareness about the truth regarding women’s hearts and how heart disease can be prevented. More than 627,000 women’s lives have been saved, but the fight is far from over. To continue to shed light on the number one killer of women, the Phoenix Go Red! Ambassador Board is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Red Dress Cocktail Party on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at our new location, Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale. This heart-healthy happy hour will include food, fashion and fun along with raffles and vital information on how to prevent heart disease. We are pleased to welcome back the charismatic Steve Irwin of ABC15 News who will reprise his emcee duties for the evening’s fashion show. The Red Dress Cocktail Party is a grassroots event started by Maria Benson after losing several female family members (including her mother) to heart disease. The primary purpose of the event is to raise awareness about heart disease. While heart disease is the primary killer of women, only one in five American women believe heart disease is a health threat. The party has grown tremendously since its inception – starting out as a small gathering of friends and evolving into a highly anticipated event with nearly 200 attendees. Everyone is welcome to attend. A tax deductible $35 donation is requested.
