Here’s the thing about people shaming people for being too thin: for every one person to be a fucking asshole to someone because they’re thin, there’s 1,000 people telling that person they’re beautiful, they’re ideal, “GOALSSS”. For every one person telling a fat person they’re beautiful, you have 10,000 people telling them they’re ugly, followed by endless movies, magazines, etc with almost no positive representation. I understand that no one should be mean to anyone for any reason, but I just can’t get behind this whole “people make fun of skinny people all the time” argument when we’re trying to discuss fatphobia, fat representation, and thin privilege. Maybe not detail the conversation because you’re skinny and feel uncomfortable that you have it a thousand times easier than us fat babes.
