Born to a single mother who owned a strip club, Mac didn’t try very hard to be good. Kids were mean, especially about the stripper thing, consequently bringing her education to an abrupt halt after years of expulsions for picking fights and running out of schools willing to take her. Dropping out at 15, she juggled a series of odd jobs before landing a modeling gig. She was never actually a model though, promptly getting kicked off set by the photographer-- but she managed to charm an attending agent enough to land a role as a video jockey.

Mac quickly gained notoriety for her off-the-cuff remarks and lack of deference to celebrities (don’t mention America’s sweetheart Betty White to her agent), eventually becoming a familiar face to the same demographic that watched Family Guy and Viva La Bam. She was a favorite among frat boys and yuppies who peaked in high school, known for her vulgarity and scathing take-downs on the very shows she hosted. Luckily for her, America adored a hot mess, and Mac was nothing if not scorching hot and aggravatingly messy.

Every small town has that one over eager activist, right? Well in St Cloud, that kid was Tommie. When she was young and asking you to sign petitions or boycott big supermarkets it was kind of cute, but as she got older and angrier and more determined, the charming rants she used to go on became protests and acts of public disturbance. All in the name of standing up for the little guy of course, but people were pretty relieved when she turned eighteen, figuring she’d leave for college and only ever return to St Cloud through their TV screens as a hard-hitting reporter and a local success story.

They were half right. Tommie completed her double major in journalism and public relations at NYU, securing an internship with a local news channel and working hard to make her way up the ladder. The meagre social life she did had went up in smoke, but she knew it would all be worth it when she was finally hosting her own show, exposing scandals, bringing down bad guys, and bringing people the information they needed.

Only a year ago her dad got in a major car accident, and the help her family needed- not to mention the insane hospital bill- brought her back home. It made sense, her older siblings had families of their own to take care of and her younger brother had just started college for himself. So now she hosts the segment ‘Tea with Tommie’ on local radio and tries not to dwell on the fact that her dreams are spiralling the drain.

After 17 years of delinquency as a public nuisance, Bailey joined the Marine Corps as a final Hail Mary to straighten his shit out; with prison as his only option, he decided to choose the one with a guaranteed paycheck. He served 13 years as staff sergeant and combat videographer, a role he gravitated towards after determining that he preferred shooting with a camera than with a gun.

In the months following his discharge, Bailey fell back into the arms of his old flame, which usually took the form of anything above 150 proof. With no home, no job, and no money, it took hitting rock bottom several times over like a drunk, pathetic basketball to pull him out of his personal quicksand. With his experience filming in perilous situations, he eventually found work as a documentary videographer, and spent the next 10 years with The Road Less Traveled, a TV show featuring remote, isolated communities living in extreme conditions.

When the host of the show (and consequently, his employer) was gored by a wild boar while shooting on location, Bailey knew he’d have to find another job. Following its cancellation, he reluctantly accepted a position on Maize of Love on the recommendation of a friend, a decision he still isn’t sure was the right one to make.
