The painting (without the text) of my submission for Haim’s poster competition. They tweeted it, which was really cool! I used so many different references, and I didn’t quite manage to adapt the light source to fit Alana and Este, I think that’s why they’re looking a little flat. Still really happy with the mood and the compsition, though!

I’m sick with the flu and reading M Train by Patti Smith. I drew this portrait of her after reading and falling in love with Just Kids as a teenager. I gave it to the friend who introduced me to the book, I wonder if she still has it.
