Story prompt if you want it. It's free for anyone to write.
Soulmates where you have to look someone in the eye to know. But, what if you are autistic and can't look anyone in the eye. You would never know if you met your soulmate. You have an amazing relationship with your best friend who secretly loves you. You both don't know you are soulmates until something happens forcing you to look in their eyes.
Anyone can use this if they want. It is true that autistic people cannot look anyone in the eye no matter how much they love them. I should know. I know that my siblings eyes are blue but I can never tell you the exact shade. I cannot look anyone in the eye. It is very uncomfortable for me and it feels wrong. Like ants crawling on my skin the longer I hold eye contact.
Feel free to write a story about this as long as you send me a link to it because I want to read it.
As of May 21st I have finally found out what is wrong with me. I have a simple kidney infection. I'll be alright in about a week.
I was waiting on my new laptop to arrive. It did two days ago. I'm so excited about it!! It's amazing. My old one was new in 2016. This one is a 2020 one. So awesome.
My stories are being put off for a bit. I am not feeling one hundred percent better. I'm also slipping into writers block. I have zero motivation or inspiration to write. My new laptop should help things.
I have gotten into Doctor Who a bit. So I might write some of that.
Hope you are having a better time then me. (Gaining 6 lbs on this stay at home order is killing me)
If anyone is interested I need someone's advice on a story I'm writing. It's a Supernatural story. A Balthazar/Demon!Reader AU. It takes place in Seasons 5-8.
It has slight Winchester hate because hello? Demon. It's slightly violent but it's the same as the show. Lots of spoilers for season 12.
If you are interested please shoot me a message.
All I am looking for is feedback. I really don't have anyone who will do this in RL. My family is mainly Christian and the one family member I have that actually likes supernatural hates reading.
So... If you like sass and loads of snark please message me.
As of April 27th I am confined to a three day isolation. I have developed a cough and have had a slight fever. Until my test results come back I can't be around anyone.
As of April 24th Parenting 101, What Makes A Wing Kink, and Parenting 102: It's the Little Things are up on my Ao3 page.
Parenting 102 has new content. I'm open to prompts for that story if you come up with something you want to read.
T'ebaki will be up as soon as my beta works through the chapters she hasn't done yet.
All my other WIP's (What Happens In Vegas Stays In Vegas... Right?, As Fate Would Have It, The Trouble With Horns, Forever Yours.) are taken down until they are complete.
Oneshots are going to be up next. If you have a favorite and you would like to see it, shoot me a message and I will get it up as soon as I can.
I hope you are all having a good day. Or night. Depends on where you live.
Hey, I noticed all your stuff was removed from ao3. If you don't mind me asking, what happened? Will they ever be coming back? Of course it's fine and I understand if not, but there were a couple of fics posted on there that weren't on here that I will miss dearly and I'd just love to know.
Yeah. I took it all down to edit. Sorry this was late in reply. I'm working on it.
I have officially seen it all and nothing about fanfiction will surprise me now. There is fanfiction about politics. I have seen fanfiction about USA's Presidents. My mind is in shock. After seeing this, nothing can surprise me anymore. Damn.

Summary: Sam knew he was gone. The feather proved it. Sam cried out to the heavens to bring him back. Someone answered.
Read: Sam knelt before the marker he had just recently placed. Sam bowed his head. “Bring him back?” He pleaded with anyone who would listen. “Please? I need him.” A tear dropped down Sam’s face to land on the freshly turned earth.
Sam sighed and stood up. His hand fell to his pocket where the last thing Sam had of Gabriel rested. Sam closed his eyes and remembered when he got the long gold feather.

FLASHBACK
*****************
“Hey, Sam.” The Trickster appeared in the middle of the motel room.
Sam leaped to his feet and grabbed the nearest knife. It wouldn’t kill him but it would hurt him. “What do you want?” Sam seethed. He had the handle of the knife gripped so tightly that his hand was starting to cramp.
“I wanted to apologize for what I did. I’m sor-”
“Save it!” Sam snapped. “Apology not accepted.”
“You don’t understand! I had to do it! You have no idea what is coming!” The Trickster yelled desperately.
Sam stared coldly at the being. “Then tell me.”
“I can’t. They will hunt me down.” The Trickster looked so distraught that Sam almost felt sorry for him.
“Who will?” Sam demanded. “Maybe I will help them.”
The Trickster paled. “Please don’t. You don’t know what you are getting into.”
Sam softened at the pure panic and sadness on his face. “Why did you do it? Why did you torture me?”
“I’ve told you. You need to learn to let Dean go.” The Trickster wouldn’t meet Sam’s eyes.
“I will never give up on my brother,” Sam swore.
The Trickster looked saddened and resigned. “I know. That’s the whole problem.” The Trickster shifted and held out something to Sam. “Please take it. It will help you when you need it. It can never be thrown away and is only visible to your eyes.”
Sam looked closer and saw a golden feather. It was about a foot long and was bright shiny gold. “Why do I want a feather?” Sam lifted an eyebrow.
“Please. I nee- want you to have it. Please take it.” The Trickster pushed it closer to Sam.
Sam looked it over. Wherever it came from, it was magical. It was glowing with golden light. The streams danced around the feather and when Sam touched it, they swirled around his fingers in almost joy like a dance.
“What-?” Sam looked up but the Trickster was gone. The lone feather was left behind. Sam figured he could research and maybe use it to save Dean. Maybe Bobby could help.
Sam found out what the Trickster said was true. No one could see the feather. Not even Ruby and it never saved him when he needed it.

Sam tipped his head to the sky and yelled in sadness and frustration. “Please! Bring him back!”
Sam’s head rolled forward to his chest and loud sobs broke through the air. He remembered when he ran into the Trickster the next time after the feather.
Sam entered the house cautiously. There was a huge hole in the front of the house. Police tape crisscrossed the opening.
Sam ducked under the tape and poked around the house. He doubted it but he pulled out his emf reader and went through the rooms. Nothing. He spotted something shiny glinting in a doorway. He bent down to get it when a sharp whistle echoed through the room.
Sam shot up and whirled around. His gun was pointed at the person who made the noise. “You. I should have known. What did this guy do to deserve being ripped apart? What did anyone do to deserve what you have done?”
The Trickster’s golden gaze narrowed. “I punish murderers and rapists and abusive assholes. Don’t tell me they are human. Those are monsters in my opinion. What do you call someone who abuses children? Are you okay with that?”
Sam looked away. “No. I’m not. But that should be a matter for the-”
The Trickster scoffed. “Who? The police? Leave the human monsters to other humans. I get justice for those who never get closure on what happened to them or their family members. Do you know how many people get away with murder in this country alone?” The Trickster’s eyes were glowing with an ancient power. “Forty percent of murders committed in the US go unsolved. I get justice for those people.” The Trickster noticed Sam’s reaction and took a deep breath.“I’m sorry.” The Trickster apologized. “That got out of hand.”
Sam cleared his throat. “What did this guy do?”
The Trickster got a dazed look on his face. He shook his head and stared at Sam. “Do you still have the feather?”
“Yeah.” Sam tugged on the string around his neck. The feather was secured to the end with a series of complicated knots.
The Trickster looked relieved. “Keep it safe, Sam.” The Trickster raised his hand and snapped. He disappeared. Sam went back to the hotel room in a daze.
Later, after getting hit in the balls, made to say he had genital herpes and being turned into the impala, Sam stared in shock at the newly revealed archangel.
Sam had an archangel’s feather around his neck. Sam needed to talk to him. Gabriel met Sam’s eyes. Gabriel turned his head away from Sam. He addressed Cas when he showed up.
Sam left the warehouse in shock. He had an archangel’s feather from his wings around his neck. The feather that he held close when the world seemed like it was crashing down around him. The feather that always made its presence known when Sam needed comfort.
“Cas?” Sam turned to face the seraph.
“Yes, Sam?” Cas was curious. He had been sensing something off about Sam since the beginning. At first, he thought it was the demon blood. Now he wasn’t so sure. Knowing the Winchesters had a history with Gabriel shed a little light but not much.
“What does it mean when an angel gives you a feather?” Sam’s innocent question made Cas freeze.
“What?” Cas demanded. “Who’s? How?”
“Relax. I didn’t steal one.” Sam snapped. “Gabriel gave me one a long time ago.”
Cas sagged back against the chair. “I have to go.” Cas flew off.
“Cas? Cas!” Sam called. Great. Now he would never know. But Cas’ reaction cleared things up. Apparently, it was a huge deal.

Sam fell to the ground in despair. “Please? I’ll do anything. Please bring him back.”
A warm white light surrounded Sam. “Would you trade your life for his? Would you give everything for him?”
“Yes.” Sam sobbed. “I just want my mate back.”
“You owe me a favor.” The light faded and a gasping sound hit Sam’s ears.
Sam scrambled over to the body lying in the dirt. Tears fell as the person Sam wanted most tried to breathe.“Gabriel?” Sam didn’t dare hope.
“Sam?” Gabriel tried to sit up but he soon had a lapful of weeping human.
“I’m so sorry. Don’t leave me again. Please. I’m sorry.” Sam repeated over and over.
Gabriel held Sam tight. “I’m not going anywhere again. I swear. I’ve got you, Sam.”
The feather that Sam had glowed brightly. It dissolved into Sam’s skin, becoming an imprint. A tattoo of a feather over Sam’s chest. It was as good a claim as any.
Summary: Sam loved playing with Gabriel's hair. Gabriel love having her hair played with. Sam learned a few things about the old Norse. Sam wanted to let Gabriel know he loved her.
Read:
Sam sat on the couch as Gabriel laid her head in his lap. Sam was stroking his fingers across her scalp. They were watching a show on TV about the “true” story behind the American Revolution.
“That’s wrong.” Gabriel commented.
“Hmm?” Sam was fascinated by the blonde strands. He stroked along the piece he held from the root to the end.
They had an issue when Chuck brought back Gabriel. They couldn’t rebuild his original vessel. Chuck made him into a her by building a completely new female one.
Gabriel was now Gabrielle. They still called her Gabriel, when they were in public they called her Gabrielle.
Gabriel was still talking when Sam decided to weave her hair into a braid. Sam never told Dean or anyone that Cas was helping him learn the ways of the Norse. He was teaching Sam how to braid a courting braid. Cas helped him make a symbol that was pure him. Sam decided on crossed shotguns. He carved a replica into a small coin-sized piece of wood.
Sam started with the side and began braiding. He worked his way back and clipped a clip to hold it while he started another.
“Sam?” Gabriel was trying to sit up. “What are you doing?”
“Don’t move.” Sam muttered, concentrating. “You’ll see when I’m done.”
Sam braided another about halfway down from the first. Sam clipped that one when he got to the same end of the first. Now came the tricky part. Braiding sideways. Sam started at the ends of the first two and braided them into one braid. He dug in his pocket for the wooden circle tied to a string. He wrapped it around the hair.
“Done. You can look.” Sam watched as Gabriel left the room and came back with an unreadable look.
“How did you…?” Gabriel’s voice trailed off as she stared at him.
“Cas.” Sam shrugged. “You are Loki. I was reading about three weeks ago and found that the Norse symbolized a lot of things by braids. Cas found out what I was reading about and helped me.”
“And the circle?” Gabriel was still staring at him.
Sam shrugged. “I made it myself. It’s from the wooden stake we used when we first met. I carved the crossed shotguns. It stands for my faith in you and that I’m a hunter.” Sam was shocked as he saw tears welling up in her eyes. “I’m sorry. I just thought since we were dating you would like that as well. You don’t have to keep it in. I can take it out.” Sam babbled like all men do when faced with a crying female.
“Shut up you stupid Moose.” Gabriel flung herself in his lap. “I love it,” Gabriel admitted. Gabriel leaned up and kissed him. “We are keeping it.” Gabriel grew quiet. “Can I…?” She paused. “Never mind. It’s stupid.”
“What?” Sam urged. “Gabriel, nothing is stupid.”
Gabriel snorted. “I don’t know. I’ve seen some pretty dumb humans.”
“Gabriel? What is it?” Sam brushed a piece of hair behind her ear.
“I was wondering if I could braid yours too.” Gabriel looked up. “It was common back then to reciprocate.”
Sam thought about it for a moment. “Sure. How do you want me?” Sam regretted the words the instant they left his mouth.
“Hard and fast.” Gabriel smirked. “But right here is fine.” Gabriel got off Sam and went behind him on the couch. She dug her hands in his hair and began braiding. She told tales of men with long beards and long hair all in braids. Her capable hands were swift and painless. She weaved what felt like complicated patterns.
Sam got up when she declared she was finished. Sam went into the bathroom and stared at his hair. A small section was braided in a complicated way. It was tied off with a golden bead on a leather strap. Sam looked closely and saw two snakes entwined and biting each other. A faint outline of golden wings were surrounding them.
“Like it?” Gabriel looked nervous. She wasn’t looking at him, instead, she was picking at her nails.
“Gabriel, I love it. I’m keeping them in. Maybe, after we shower, we can redo them?” Sam bit his lip. “I’m not saying we shower right away, just whenever each of us is out of the bath, we can call the other in and put them back.”
Gabriel lit up. “Sure Samaroon. Now, can we finish that show? It was interesting. They have it mostly right.”
Sam smiled as the petite blonde dragged him back to the couch.
&&&&&&
Sam was snoozing on the couch when he heard voices.
“Wow. Always knew you were a girl Samantha.” Dean commented. There was a loud smack.“Ow! Cas, not here.” Dean yelped.
“They are courting braids. Gabriel was Loki for a long time Dean.” Cas’ deep voice soothed Sam closer to sleep.
“Oh.” Dean remembered. “It’s like the dwarves in The Hobbit.”
Cas sighed. “Yes Dean.” There was a rustle of fabric. “Come on, let’s let them sleep.”
Them? Sam cracked his eyelids open to see a sleeping blonde on his chest. Her head was placed on his heart. Sam smiled softly and rested a huge palm on her back.
“Hmph.” Gabriel snuffled. She rubbed her nose into Sam’s flannel.
“Shhh.” Sam soothed. “Go back to sleep.”
“Not sleeping. Archangel.” Came the sleepy reply.
“Sure. Rest your eyes then.” Sam began running his fingers through Gabriel’s hair.
Gabriel purred throatily and curled closer. Soon, her breath evened out. Sam closed his eyes and fell back to sleep.
Sam was woken up two hours later by a loud swear.
“Did he just liken our braids to a movie about dwarves?!” Gabriel yelled. “I’m going to prank him good.”
“Shhh.” Sam laid a clumsy hand on Gabriel’s arm. “Sleep now, prank later.”
Gabriel huffed angrily.
Sam sat up a little. “Gabriel, you and I know that these mean a whole lot more than some stupid reference in a movie. When it comes down to it, it’s our relationship. Not Dean’s, not Cas’ and not some stranger we will never see again. If I want braids in my hair symbolizing I’m yours then I am sure as fuck am not going to care about what anyone else says. They can go screw themselves.”
Gabriel stared at him. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Sam leaned forward and kissed her. “Now can we go back to sleep? I’m sleepy.”
“Sure Moose. Let’s get some sleep.” Gabriel laid back down on Sam’s chest. “Will you really keep the braids?”
“Yes. Until the day I die for good my hair will be braided.” Sam vowed. “I swear to your father.”
Gabriel gave a small smile. “Get some sleep Sam. I’ll keep the bad dreams away.”
Summary: Sam knelt in the circle set up for summoning.
“You boys sure about this.” Bobby asked, worriedly.
“Yes.” Sam shared a determined look with Dean. “We need him.”
Dean stared back before saying the incantation.
Dean, Sam and Bobby summoned Loki to make a deal. His help for Sam. Anything was better than having Sam say yes and jump into the cage.
Read: Sam knelt in the circle set up for summoning.
“You boys sure about this,” Bobby asked, worriedly.
“Yes.” Sam shared a determined look with Dean. “We need him.”
Dean stared back before saying the incantation. Dean finished the last word and there was a loud shrieking noise.
Dean, Sam, and Bobby clamped their hands over their ears. The noise died down and Gabriel sat, lounging upon a throne that appeared out of nowhere.
“Who dares… Oh. It’s you three.” Gabriel sighed. “What do you muttonheads want this time? I already gave you the answer to your little problem.”
“Gabriel-” Dean began.
“Nuh-uh.” Gabriel wagged a finger at him. “It’s Loki. You called on Gabriel’s pagan side so you get Loki. Not Gabriel.”
“Loki,” Sam spoke strongly. He scooted closer. “We need your help. I offer you myself in return. Do with me as you wish.” Sam bowed his head.
“Huh.” Loki sat back in his throne in shock. “You two are okay with this?” Loki directed his question to Dean and Bobby.
“We need all the help we can get. This was Sam’s idea.” Bobby shrugged.
“We have all the rings. We need your help to get the devil back in his cage.” Dean put forth. “Sam agreed to three nights-”
“No, no, no. That’s not how this works.” Loki tsked. “The way you set this up was an open-ended sacrifice. Sam is mine for however long I wish.”
Dean stared shocked at Sam. “You did this. You are the one who set this up.”
Sam raised his head and stared defiantly at the god. “I did. I knew it would take something huge to get him to help. It’s fine Dean.”
Loki sat back and watched their argument with glee. “Okay! Enough!” Loki snapped and Dean and Sam were separated.“Here’s the deal. I will help you put Lucifer away and Sam is mine for hmmm, one year. After that year he is free to leave if he wishes.”
“And that is one human earth year?” Bobby clarified.
“Yes.” Loki sat back in his chair.
Dean stared down Sam. “Will I be able to see him?”
“After six months, yes.” Loki agreed.
Dean looked up at the god. “Deal.”
“Excellent. What’s the plan boys?” Loki snapped. His chair and the summoning stuff vanished.
“Sam was going to say yes and-” Dean began.
“No.” Loki snarled. “Sam is now mine and he won’t be saying yes to anyone but me.”
“Well, do you have a better one?” Bobby demanded.
“Let me make a few calls.” Loki thought for a moment.
Sam, Dean, and Bobby began walking away.
“Hold it!” Loki called. “Our deal is not sealed.” Loki snapped and was in front of Sam. Before he could react, Loki grabbed a handful of his hair and yanked him down into a kiss that was all teeth and tongue. Loki pulled back after a minute.
“Dude! Right here!” Dean complained.
“That’s not how a pagan deal is sealed. That’s how demon deals are sealed.” Bobby pointed out.
“Oh, I know. I just wanted a kiss.” Loki held up his bloody hand. “Our blood seals the deal.”
Sam looked down at his arm that was smeared with blood.
Loki snapped. The blood disappeared. “Now, where are we headed, boys?
”************
Sam stared at the pagan/archangel that he now belongs to for a year. He was talking animatedly on his cell phone. He grinned and hung up.
“Good news! My kids are gonna help plus Anansi, Hermes and Coyote owe me a favor so they will help too. That gives us six other people to help.” Loki smirked.
“Anansi? I thought a fellow hunter killed him a few years earlier.” Bobby looked curious.
“How can six pagans help us? Lucifer tore through those other SOB’s at that hotel.” Dean looked over at Loki.
“That’s because these pagans are different. More powerful.” Loki sneered at Dean.
“How?” Sam was curious.
Loki’s smile seemed to gentle at Sam. “I made the trickster gods. They are mine. I am the first trickster. Plus, my kids. Do they need any more introduction?”
“Narfi, Fenrir, Jormungandr, and Hel?” Sam listed off.
Loki beamed. “Yep. My kids.”
“How are they going to help? What’s the plan?”
Sam did most of the talking to Loki after that.
***********
That night, Loki snapped off with a kiss to Sam and a warning to Dean and Bobby.
Sam sat at the table with a beer in his hand.
“Did you know?” Dean demanded as he sat next to Sam.
“Yup.” Sam took a sip from his bottle.
“Damn it Sam! We agreed to no more secrets!” Dean yelled.
Sam looked up at his big brother. “It was the price for his help. It’s June now? I’ll see you at Christmas.” Sam softened at his brother’s distress. “Dean. I’ll be alright. If he hurts me I will kick his ass. Stakes may not kill him but I doubt they are comfortable.”
Dean smiled a tiny grin. “Give me a few days. I will have something for you.”
“Okay. Dean? I’ll be fine. Trust me.” Sam held Dean’s green-eyed gaze. “I know I haven’t earned it in the past but I swear, I’ll be alright. It’s Gabriel.”
“And Loki.” Dean reminded. “That’s just weird man.” He shivered.
“Not really.” Sam shrugged. “Think of it as multiple personalities, but instead of several, he has two. Neither seems to want me hurt if his reaction and threat tonight was any indication.”
Dean wrinkled his nose. “Okay. If you’re sure.”
“I’m sure. You have Cas. You’ll be fine.” Sam assured.
Dean blushed. “What does that have to do with anything?”
Sam sighed. “You will work it out eventually. Just promise me something?”
“What Sammy?” Dean spoke softly.
“Don’t die while I’m away. If you get in trouble call Cas at least.” Sam pleaded with his eyes.
“I promise Sam.” Dean clapped his hands. “Let’s get some sleep. We have a big day ahead of us.”
Sam downed the last of his beer before climbing up the stairs.
Dean settled on Bobby’s porch with a wooden branch. He spent all night working on whittling it to a point and carving the words he wanted into the handle.
“LOKI’S TIMEOUT STICK”
When he gave it to Sam the next morning, Dean smiled at the laugh on his little brother’s face. He may not know what will happen but Loki had their backs sort of. Sam was the god’s and they made a deal.
Dean prayed that everything would go their way tomorrow. After all, they made a deal with a pagan.
"Every day Asmodeus tortured me... every day! He fed off my grace for years!"
Sam knew very well what the archangel went through. He wanted to help. He wanted to help the hurt and broken angel.
"If you are broken then I guess we are broken together.”
Read:
“Every day Asmodeus tortured me… Every day!”
Sam could hear the pain in Gabriel’s voice. He remembered what he went through in the cage. No one deserves that.
“He fed off my grace for years! He used me, he debased me until I was…” Gabriel took a deep breath. “What I went through… you don’t forgive. Everyone who had a hand in it will die. Get me?”
“Yeah. We do.” Sam spoke out loud. ‘I do.’ Sam thought. He wasn’t sure about Dean. Dean’s experience in Hell was a damn paradise island compared to what Sam and Gabriel went through. Sam flinched back from the memories. It had been years but that pain doesn’t ever go away. It will always hurt.
*************
After Gabriel killed Loki. they were on their way back to the Bunker. Dean had stopped for a break.
“Sam?” Gabriel’s voice sounded cautious.
“Yes, Gabriel?” Sam turned to face the archangel.
“You never said how you managed to get Luci back in his box.” Gabriel wouldn’t meet his eyes.
Sam breathed deeply through his nose. “I said yes. I took back control of my body and I jumped into the cage. Michael tried to stop me and I grabbed him and dragged him down with me.” Gabriel didn’t speak. Sam didn’t look at him. “When I say I know what you went through, I really mean it. I lost count how many years I spent down there. I would gladly take eight years. I was down there for a whole earth year and a half. My soul was at least.” Sam grew quiet. “It felt like forever.” Sam chanced a look back and saw Gabriel staring at him.
“Does it ever go away? The pain?” Gabriel’s voice sounded small. “It’s been eight years and I have yet to get fully over it. It doesn’t help that my tormentor is free again.” Sam reached out a hand to the hurt being. “Sometimes, it’s all I can do to get out of bed and face a new day. Sometimes it feels like I am still back there. I know it’s not what you want to hear, but everyone is different.”
“250,” Gabriel spoke quietly.
“Huh?” Sam frowned.
“You were down there for 250 hell years.” Gabriel snorted bitterly. “My pain seems like nothing compared to yours.”
“Don’t say that!” Sam gentled his tone. “Never say that. My time was longer but everyone’s trauma is important. Your pain is no lesser than mine.”
“I guess I’m just broken. I’m sorry I can’t be more help.” Gabriel huddled in on himself.
Sam laid a hesitant hand on Gabriel’s shoulder. “If you’re broken then so am I. Maybe we-” Sam shut his mouth as Dean opened the car door.
“Everything okay?” Dean paused.
“We’re good. We ready to keep driving?” Sam faced the front.
Dean placed his bag of snacks on the seat between him and Sam. “I don’t know if you were hungry so I got a bit of everything. Help yourself.” Dean motioned to Gabriel as he started the car. “We’re about four hours out.”
Gabriel turned away. “I’m not hungry bucko. Angel remember.”
Sam watched the fields of grain roll past as the mountains faded in the distance.
**************
Sam woke from a dead sleep as a shout echoed in the bunker. He sprung from the bed and made his way to the room three doors down. “Gabriel?” Sam stepped into the room.
The archangel was huddled in the corner of the room with his eyes wild. He was awake but was still dreaming. Sam stepped as close as Gabriel allowed before sinking to the floor. He sat there and waited calmly for Gabriel to settle down.
“Gabriel,” Sam called softly but strongly. “You’re not there. You’re safe. Wake up.”
Gabriel blinked and his eyes cleared. “Sam? Did Dean?”
“No. You were only loud enough for me to hear.” Sam didn’t move as he waited for the archangel to gather himself.
“You can go.” Gabriel sounded angry.
“No,” Sam spoke calmly.
“No? What do you mean no?” Gabriel demanded.
“Nightmares?” Sam asked knowingly.
“Yes. Not that it’s your concern.” Gabriel huddled in on himself, clutching his sides and hunching his shoulders.
“Can I?” Sam gestured to the spot next to Gabriel. Gabriel shrugged in response. Sam took it as a yes. Sam scooted closer so they were sitting side by side but not touching. Sam didn't speak. He just offered his silent support. Eventually, the silence got to Gabriel.
“Why do you even care? I tortured you and left you in the lurch. I killed Dean over and over and when you guys needed me the most, I ran. Like a fucking coward.” Gabriel spits the words out.
“You’re not a coward,” Sam spoke softly. “You are a survivor. There is a difference.”
“No. I’m a coward. I ran from Heaven and my family. I ran from you when you needed me. Twice.” Gabriel curled tighter.
“I forgive you,” Sam spoke earnestly. “I forgive you Gabriel and I am here. I will always be here for you.”
That was when the first hitching sob came from Gabriel. Sam reached out and curled an arm around Gabriel’s shoulders pulling him into his chest. “I got you. Let it out.”
Sam held him as the tears and rage came. He murmured the whole time into his ear, as Gabriel’s powers got out of whack and destroyed the bed and room, as his tears soaked Sam’s undershirt.
When Gabriel was all tired out and fell asleep in Sam’s arms, Sam rose to his feet. He carried Gabriel down the hall to his room. He laid him on the bed and slipped under the covers next to him. Sam gathered the being to his chest and hugged him tight as he fell asleep.
**************
Sam woke the next morning to loud bangs. His door slammed open and a frantic Dean barged into his room.
“Sammy! Gabriel’s gone! His room looked-” Dean fell silent at the peacefully sleeping archangel in his brother’s bed.
“Shhhh!” Sam hushed. “He had a nightmare last night. I got him.”
“I’ll make breakfast.” Dean left the room in a daze.
“Who ‘as it?” Gabriel slurred.
“It was Dean. He’s making breakfast.” Sam fell back into the bed.
“Thanks, Sam.” Gabriel smiled a true smile at the hunter. “I know I’m broken. You didn’t have to…”
“Hey.” Sam turned to face Gabriel. “I will always be here for you. If you are broken then I guess we are broken together.”
Summary: Gabriel and Sam get together at Destiel's wedding. Nuff said.
“They look so happy.” Gabriel sighed wistfully.
Sam stood next to the archangel at the bar and watched his older brother and Castiel dance. Nothing Else Matters by Metallica swiftly changed into Heaven by Bryan Adams. The couple did not lose their slow sway across the floor.
“Yeah.” Sam agreed with Gabriel.
“Now, if it was my wedding I would want some more lively music.” Gabriel took a sip of his fruity sickeningly sweet looking cocktail.
“Not Heat of the Moment,” Sam spoke automatically. “I will leave if that is a part of the playlist.”
“Why? It’s a good song, Sam.” Gabriel stepped closer to Sam as someone moved up to the bartop.
“Just no.” Sam took a step back but found someone on his other side. He ended up pressing back against Gabriel. “I hate that song.”
“That song was my apology,” Gabriel spoke after a moment. “Every single day I played that song as my apology to you.” Gabriel downed his drink and slammed it on the bar top. “You know, I hate myself more than you ever could for that.” Gabriel walked away from Sam without a word.
Sam sighed.
“You really messed up, boy.” Bobby came up next to Sam and ordered two beers from the bartender.
“It will never work,” Sam spoke miserably. “Ow!” Sam yelped. Bobby had smacked the back of his head.
“Open your eyes, ya damn idjit. That boy loves you.” Bobby barked. “If you can’t see that, then you are more of a fool than I thought.”
Sam looked around for Gabriel and saw him headed for the exit with a dejected slump to his shoulders. Sam ran towards the DJ. Sam whispered quickly to the man running the booth.
Sam took the mic. “Dean? Cas? I can’t say how much I am grateful that the tension is finally resolved. Eleven years seems a bit much yeah.” Sam talked quickly because Gabriel was almost gone. “I hope you can forgive me for this.”
The opening cords for Heat of the Moment by Asia began to play. Sam fought back the memories.
“I never meant to be so bad to you.” Sam’s deep baritone ran out through the crowds.
Gabriel’s back stiffened.
“One thing I said that I would never do.” Sam continued. “A look from you and I would fall from grace. And that would wipe the smile right from my face.”
Gabriel turned around and stared at Sam with wide eyes.
“Do you remember when we used to dance? And incidents arose from circumstance. One thing led to another we were young.” Sam stepped down off the stage, headed for Gabriel. The crowd parted like the red sea.
“And we would scream together songs unsung.” Sam paused in front of Gabriel. The song kept playing in the background.
“I’m sorry. I was a damn fool to not see what was right in front of me. Forgive me?” Sam pleaded.
‘It was the heat of the moment,
telling me what your heart meant,
the heat of the moment showed in your eyes.’
Gabriel's eyes looked suspiciously shiny.
“Are you…” Sam looked upset.
“Shut up you damn Moose.” Gabriel pulled him down into a kiss.
The crowd cheered. A lot of “Finally’s” and “You owe me” rang out above the music.
Dean and Cas walked up to the two.
Sam had finally pulled back for air.
“You can no longer complain about me and Cas. We met Gabriel two years before Cas. That’s thirteen years, bitch.” Dean smiled. “But on the other hand. I just won a good prize.”
Castiel frowned. “You couldn’t have waited until after our honeymoon?”
Dean wrapped an arm around his husband. “Come on Cas, don’t be a sore loser. You will enjoy this as much as me.”
“Oh, I so did not need that image! You friggin jerk!” Sam looked away and fake gagged.
Dean clapped Sam on the back. “Enjoy the party. Cas and I are leaving in half an hour.”
Heat of the Moment ended and the song bled into Stairway to Heaven.
Sam snorted. “We are not having this cheesy of music.” Sam waved a finger at Gabriel.
Gabriel grinned. “Come on Sammy, please? Plus it’s a bit early, isn’t it?”
“Like Dean said, thirteen years is pretty long, don’t you think?” Sam shrugged. “I’m up for it whenever you are.”
Gabriel snickered.
Sam thought back over his words. Sam blushed. “Do you have the mind of a teenager?”
Gabriel all out laughed. It was a deep happy belly laugh. The kind that comes from the depths of your soul.
Sam vowed to make this angel laugh for the rest of his life as often as he can.
“I don’t think we will be allowed to elope, Sam.” Gabriel pointed over at Mary Winchester who was glaring at them. “It seems Mama Winchester will not be denied her right to see her boys married the right way.”
“So… three months?” Sam pondered.
Gabriel choked. “You are serious about this?”
Sam stared into those golden-green eyes. “We have waited long enough. I’m done waiting. You almost died and I still didn’t pull my head out of my ass. Life is too short, even for an archangel.”
Gabriel stared back. “What made you realize?”
“Bobby. He literally smacked some sense into me.” Sam leaned down but the song made him laugh.
“This is for you Sammy!” Dean shouted.
Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar on Me blasted through the speakers.
“Wanna sneak out?” Gabriel wiggled his eyebrows.
“We are the best men.” Sam reminded.
“Oh fine. Spoilsport.” Gabriel turned away.
Sam grabbed his hand.
‘Take a bottle, shake it up,
Break the bubble, break it up.
Pour some sugar on me,
Oh in the name of love,
Pour some sugar on me,
Come on and fire me up.’
“I love you. Don’t forget that, because I am going to remind you every day for the rest of our lives.” Sam spoke sincerely.
‘Pour your sugar on me,
I can’t get enough,
I’m hot, sticky sweet,
From my head to my feet,’
“Dance with me?” Sam held out his hand.
Gabriel took it. “Yes.”
Sam grinned and led the way into the rest of their lives.

Summary: Charlie really wanted Sam to go to the new chocolate shop down the street. Really Really badly. Sam was always too busy. He had paperwork the boss needed to see him. Charlie hatched a plan. The chocolatier and the lawyer had to meet.
“Oh, my word Sam!” Charlie Bradbury grabbed Sam’s arm as he was passing. “You have to try this chocolate shop that just opened.” Charlie bounced on her heels. “It’s amazing. They have chocolate to die for. They make amazing food. Anything you want dipped, smothered, coated, and caked, they will do. Come with me? I think you will like the owner.”
Sam gestured to the pile of papers in his hands. “Some other time, Charlie. I have paperwork to do.”
“Okay. Fine.” Charlie deflated.
~~~~~~~~
“Sam, can you go now?” Charlie pleaded.
“Hmm?” Sam looked up from the computer with a forkful of salad hanging from his mouth. “Sorry. I have to finish this case for the bossman.” Sam swallowed his food. “Another day, Charlie.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~
“How about now?” Charlie popped up from behind the printer.
Sam jumped a mile high. “This again? You know I don’t like chocolate, Charlie. What would I have in common with a baker?”
“One, he’s called a Chocolatier and two, please just a quick run down the street?” Charlie begged.
“Sam! Boss would like to see you.” A worker passed the printer room.
“Sorry. I have to go.” Sam left the room.
~~~~~~~~
Charlie had enough. She conspired with Castiel (Gabriel’s brother), Dean, and Dorothy (her girlfriend).
“We need to get them to meet.” Charlie paced back and forth in her living room. “What if we kidnap him?” Charlie got excited by the idea. “Cas and Dorothy can grab him, Dean can drive him in Dorothy’s car and I can be your hacker in the sky.”
The plan was agreed upon and Operation Sabriel was scheduled for tomorrow night. Cas insisted on one last attempt to get Sam to go voluntarily.
“Hey, Sam?” Charlie popped into Sam’s office the next morning. “Can you go with me to the chocolate shop? You don’t have to buy anything. Just to come to help me pick something out for Dorothy and I’s anniversary?”
Sam set down his pen. “Charlie, your anniversary isn’t for three more months. I remember because it’s my birthday you two met.” Sam picked up his pen. “I’m busy.”
Charlie left the office. She called her girlfriend. “Operation Sabriel is a go.” She whispered.
That night Sam was headed for his car when two hulking shadows snuck up on him and hit him over the head, stunning him but not knocking him out. His wrists were tied with rope and his feet were knocked from under him. A bag was placed on his head.
Sam dug frantically for his phone but it was missing.
Sam was shoved into a fancy sports car and it drove for fifteen minutes. It was suspiciously quiet. “Help?” Sam called.
The car pulled to a stop. Sam was dragged out by surprisingly gentle hands. He was forced into a building that smelled like chocolate.
“Help! I’ve been kidnapped.” Sam called.
“What is this?” A voice called.
“Thank you.” Sam breathed.
“I’ve told you before, if you’re going to kidnap someone bring them in the back. I can’t have the cops called on me because you idiots have dragged some poor soul in through the front door.” The voice continued.
The bag was ripped from his head and Sam’s vision was filled with gold. Gold green eyes, gold hair and a golden tanned face.
“Hi. I’m Gabriel.” The golden man spoke. “Those losers are not the first to kidnap one of their friends and bring them here. What can I get for you today?”
“What? Friends?” Sam turned his head to be met by a grinning Dean, Cas, and Dorothy. “You assholes! I thought I was kidnapped by one of the cases I was working on. Way to give a guy a heart attack.”
Sam’s gaze was caught by the sign proclaiming chocolate covered strawberries. No one knew but it was comfort food of Sam’s. Dark chocolate with a drizzle of white with strawberries. Sam has never found a place that makes them. He always had to home make them. “Did you make that?” Sam pointed at the strawberries.
Gabriel shrugged. “Yeah. Do you want to try one?”
Sam nodded. Gabriel handed one over. Sam bit into it and moaned. “Oh my word, marry me, have my kids, die with me this is amazing.”
Gabriel laughed. His golden eyes sparkled. “One, I think it’s a little early for that, two, who says I will be carrying the kids, and three I can do a date.”
Sam licked a drip of chocolate from his finger. “You’re an angel, that’s why you would have the kids. A date sounds good. Tuesday at nine?”
“An angel? Hmm. I see your point. Tuesday is fine. I’ll pick you up.” Gabriel bantered back.
“I told you they would hit it off.” Charlie nudged Dean.
“Yes Charlie, you were right, we were wrong.” Dean nudged her back. “Dibs on best man.”
Charlie’s jaw dropped. “This was my idea. I get the best man.”
“Children. Settle down.” Dorothy grinned. “We all know Cas and I will get Best Man. After all, we’re the ones who took him down.”
Sam and Gabriel eyed their bickering friends. “Can I get a pound of this?”
“Sure thing Moose.” Gabriel packed up his strawberries.
“It’s Sam,” Sam told the chocolatier.
“Okay, Sammoose.” Gabriel grinned. “Here’s your chocolate.”
Sam and Gabriel leaned on the counter and watched their friends argue.
“You know, I have a cousin who could be the best man,” Gabriel commented.
“I have a half brother,” Sam told him.
“Deal.” Gabriel came out from behind the counter and waded into the mass of their friends. “Okay, break it up. If you don’t shut up, Sam’s half brother and my cousin Balthazar will be our best men. Now get. You’re blocking the door from my customers.”
The group of friends left the shop laughing and bantering playfully.
“See you on Tuesday, Sammich,” Gabriel called. “I’ll name our firstborn Strawberry.”
“Nah, we’ll call him Charles. After the one who got us to meet.” Sam grinned at a beaming and gloating Charlie.
“Now you’ve done it.” Gabriel grinned and made his way back to his work. He had amazing friends.
Summary: Gabriel and Sam were watching Dean and Cas' children for the weekend. Sam was cleaning up from dinner. When he went upstairs, what he saw, melted his heart.
“Another!”
“Tell us another!”
“Yeah. Nother.”
Sam watched his nephew and nieces coerce their Uncle into telling them another bedtime story.
“Okay. One more, then all you kiddos need to get to bed. You won’t be able to go see Mickey tomorrow if you don’t.” Gabriel tickled the youngest, Jack on the belly.
Jack squealed with laughter. “No. No. I wanna see Mickey.”
Jack was three years old. The next oldest was Claire at six. The oldest of them all was Emma and she was eight.
“I wanna see Mulan.” Claire scoffed. “Mickey is for babies.”
Jack’s eyes teared up. “I’m not a baby! Dad and Daddy says I’m a big boy.”
“Claire.” Gabriel warned. “Don’t be mean to your little brother. Or I won’t tell you the story of Gabriel the adventurer.”
Emma curled up next to Gabriel. “This has to be good. Are there any princesses in this story?”
“No. But there is a prince.” Gabriel held open his other arm. Claire tucked herself under it. Jack crawled into Gabriel’s lap.
“Oooh. Even better.” Emma snuggled closer.
“Once upon a time, in a kingdom far away, there lived a very thirsty peasant named Gabriel. Peasant Gabriel really wanted a glass of milk. But, there were no cows in the city that had any milk left to give.” Gabriel began.
Sam shook his head. It always amazed him how his husband could pull stories out of nowhere and make them the best story ever. Even ones about peasants and milk.
“Peasant Gabriel made a riot at the front gates of the palace. He demanded why there was no milk in the city. Prince Dean came to the gate with a huge scowl on his face.” Gabriel wove his tale with ease.
“What’s a scowl?” Claire asked. Her head was laying on Gabriel’s thigh.
“A mean and grumpy face.” Gabriel explained.
“Oh. You mean like the face Dad makes when he hears that you are coming over.” Emma teased.
Gabriel opened his mouth for a moment. He then snapped it shut. “We’ll come back to that. Now where was I?”
“Prince Dad just came to the gates.” Jack mumbled sleepily. His thumb was in his mouth.
“Right.” Gabriel nodded. “So… Peasant Gabriel demanded a glass of milk. He just wanted one little cupful. Prince Dean sent him away with an order that if he wanted milk, he would have to search the whole kingdom.”
The children gasped. “What a meanie.” Claire slurred.
“I know.” Gabriel looked up and caught Sam’s eye from where he was leaning against the doorframe. “Peasant Gabriel searched the whole kingdom. He went far and wandered through mountains and rivers and deserts and snow storms. But one day he came across this farmer milking his cows.” Gabriel’s voice gentled as one by one the kids dropped off the sleep.
“This farmer was named Sam. ‘Can I please have a small glass of milk, sir?’ Peasant Gabriel mumbled, his throat was so dry. ‘Sure.’ Farmer Sam replied. ‘Have a seat. I have salad in the house and some water in the jug. I’ll just be real quick getting some milk to go with our supper. I have lots of milk, too.”
Gabriel’s voice was now a whisper. “Peasant Gabriel never returned to the city or to see Prince Dean. Peasant Gabriel became Farmer Gabriel and he lived happily ever after with Farmer Sam in the small cottage at the edge of the kingdom. The end.”
Sam gave a small smile. Gabriel was buried under sleeping kids.
“A little help Moose?” He whispered.
Sam stepped into the room. He gently picked up Jack off Gabriel’s chest and tucked him into the spare bed in Gabriel and his house.
“Night Farmer Sam.” Jack muttered sleepily.
“Goodnight Jack.” Sam kissed his forehead.
He turned to see Gabriel tucking Claire in the other twin bed in the room. Gabriel had gently lowered Emma until she was laying on the floor.
Sam scooped up the almost teenager and laid her on the air mattress on the floor. “Goodnight Emma.” Sam kissed her forehead. He brushed a blonde curl from her face.
Gabriel met him at the door. “All tucked in like bugs in a rug.” Gabriel murmured.
Sam softly shut the door and headed down the hall to their room. “You’re good with them.” Sam complimented.
Gabriel and he climbed under the covers. Gabriel snorted. “I practically raised their dad. I damn well better be good with his offspring.”
“Do you…” Sam sighed. “I know I’ve brought it up before and you said no… I respect that. We weren’t in a good place then, but Gabriel? What about adopting? Do you feel up to that?”
“Hell no.” Gabriel swore. “The foster system is screwed to hell and back. Do you know how hard it is to get a baby? All the families want them and then when the kids are older no one wants them so they realize they are worthless and no one cares about them so they…”
“Gabriel.” Sam laid a hand on his ranting husbands arm. “I never said anything about a baby. Frankly, I think we have too much on our plates for an infant. I was thinking more of a teenager. Maybe a sibling pair or group?”
Gabriel relaxed. “Can we talk about it later? Give me the night to think it over?”
“Of course. This isn’t a decision we should make lightly. We need some sleep if we are going to be wrangling three kids at Disneyland tomorrow.” Sam laid down in the bed. He pulled Gabriel closer and tucked him into his body. “I love you. You are an amazing story teller.”
Gabriel scoffed. “I’m an author. I damn well better be.”
Sam chuckled. “Good night Farmer Gabriel.”
“Good night Farmer Sam.” Gabriel closed his eyes. Maybe he would make a good parental figure? He might have to give up eating candy in the mornings for breakfast. Gabriel thought of his sleeping nieces and nephew. Maybe it just might be worth it.
