I know that when it was revealed that Garling wasn’t a redhead a lot of people complained but I actually really like that choice because it means Shanks got his iconic hair color from his mother, a mother who loved him enough to beg a man she’d never met to save him from what she now knew his father would attempt to turn him into. And it became his most well known trait.
