A very messy beginnings of an AU where Yuri valiantly frees Yuya from poor working conditions under Yusho in the entertainment industry, and then they live happily ever after.

(Yuya is a young, promising but overworked idol here, he won't be overworked for long but he will have to live with his father's killer in the foreseeable future).

After not sleeping all night, I joined my parents in the weekly grocery shopping trip and (like a kid) I (31 next month) asked my dad (59) if I could get a pack of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. He agreed but unfortunately there was only a tin, a box, and a "pack" made up of 20 common cards and 5 "rare" cards. I grabbed the "pack".

The oldest card I pulled from this is the Spell Card named Recycle, so old that the little ID label under the art doesn't include the shorthand for the language in it. It's just IOC-041, whereas a card printed nowadays would have IOC-EN041.

IOC means it came out in Invasion of Chaos, and according to Yugipedia, that booster set released in North America on 1 March 2004.

That means I got a 22-year-old card from a random 25 "card pack".

Where tf were they keeping this fossil for so long to add it in this? lmao

I'll try to figure out what the newest card in this "set" is for comparison.

There's also over an 18-year gap between the oldest card and the youngest one in this "pack", and a 10-year gap between the oldest and the next oldest card.

The thing is like this does kinda exist but it's about who's the most straight passing so I kinda wish this guy was right tbh. That'd be way cooler on the part of us gays right.
