It’s Hornet From Hollow Knight and Hollow Knight: SilkSong! (To scale!)
I still can’t believe we got Silksong at all, let alone that it’s been 6 months since release
The Hornet model can be found on thingiverse with minimal adjustments from me. (I only removed the stand plate)
Hornet was made during the time between Silksong’s announcement and Silksong’s release and took only around 3-4 hours to paint
I also gave her a case around the same time, but I decided to hold off on setting her there permanently until I had played more of the game. (Sorry for image quality this is the only before image I have)
After playing the game enough I decided to use Lace’s arena as a way to frame Hornet, so I modeled and printed a bed of flowers for her to stand on
At this point there was something that was just a bit off about it. For a while I couldn’t put my finger on what and then it hit me that hornets head was blending into the background. (Poor image quality due to similar lack of before images)
So I took Hornet out and painted the back of the case to match Lace’s arena
Final product
Overall I’m happy with how Hornet came out but if there’s one thing I’d change it’d be to separate hornets collar from her head just a bit
