HEARD OF KNOCKING?
There were days when Sam loved his job and others that he hated it. Modeling was pretty easy on the wallet, but some of the crazy stuff they made him do sometimes wasn’t worth it. That evening he returned home covered in glitter, and the sight of it alone made him cringe as he thought back on his stripper days. Sure, he’d scored a sweet nickname and learned how to do some awesome body rolls, but never again did he want to be stuck in that kind of situation. That’s why sometimes he wished he had a more dependable job, but Sam wasn’t sure he was even worthy of that, or what he could do. Coaching back at McKinley was always an option, but as much as he missed some of the people there, the last thing he wanted to do was return to Lima.
Hoping a shower would do the trick and snap him out of his cranky mood (as well as remove all the glitter), the blonde didn’t waste any time as he entered the apartment he shared with Tina and searched for a clean towel. It was still kind of weird, adjusting to having only one roommate, and a female one at that. Not that he and Tina weren’t friends; they had been since high school, and there had been that one time senior year that they even made out. Still, with Blaine gone as the buffer they were struggling to find a balance between them. Once he finally scrounged through the clean laundry hamper in his room and scooped up a fresh towel, Sam hurried toward the bathroom before Tina beat him there. Her showers always took so much longer, and he wasn’t in the mood to wait.
In his haste Sam pushed the cracked bathroom door open, the trickles of water sounding as they hit the tile shower floor. Before he knew it, Sam was face to face with his roommate, her figure clear as day through the slick glass shower doors. If only he had heard the water going beforehand, he wouldn’t have ever barged in on her. Sure, Sam had made comments about her chest and her cute little body, but he never intended to be a complete pervert. Even so, it took him a moment to blink and avert his green gaze to the floor, and it wasn’t until her own had widened with horror. “Oh my god, T! I’m so sorry! I didn’t hear you in here,” he swore sincerely, trying not to stare at her again no matter how badly he wanted to. This was like something out of a fantasy, and he knew it was wrong that it was turning him on. Tina had even more of a smokin’ bod than he could have ever imagined. “l’ll get going now…” he announced as he headed for the door. “Unless you want to conserve water?” he offered up, trying to lighten the mood.
Living in New York and pursuing her dream career was beyond everything Tina could’ve ever wanted for herself and her life, and here she was, doing exactly that. It definitely wasn’t easy; since she graduated from NYU, her life had consisted pretty much of audition after audition, and a long job search for jobs she didn’t even want but desperately needed. Every once in a while, she’d get lucky and land a weekend-long theater gig, but she had yet found the perfect play or the perfect role.
Adjusting to a domestic life with Sam was an interesting experience. With the dynamic of the three of them--Blaine, Sam and herself--it felt wholesome and played out just right. When Blaine left the nest and left the two of them by themselves, she knew that there was bound to be some kind of weirdness about it, despite them already being good friends. The reason they even made out that one time in high school at all was to get it out of their systems, as if they weren’t going to see much of each other once they had graduated. Obviously, it was an incorrect assumption to make.
Usually, Tina would’ve waited until Sam had taken his shower so she wouldn’t end up spending all of the hot water (God knows how many times she’s done that), but today, she had an audition booked way earlier than she anticipated, so she had to make an exception. Rather in a hurry, she tossed her clothes off and stepped into the shower, thinking she would make a genuine effort into being as productive and quick as she could be. A loud thud was heard just outside the glass walls of the shower, causing Tina to startle. But the thing that really got her heart beating, was the sight of a flustered blonde staring right at her uncovered, barely wet body. Her eyes widened, and in a state of panic, she had no idea what to do or how to even hide. In an attempt to cover up what had already been exposed, she turned around and wrapped her arms around herself. “Sam!” she squeaked, still curled up in the small corner of the shower and embarrassed as ever. “I appreciate the thought, but this is really awkward and I have an audition to go to, so can you please leave?”
