hey gf! no need to be scared!! i’m usually straight up with them before it happens, tell them if sex comes up in conversation that i have vaginismus and just explain that it makes sex painful so there’s a possibility that if they’re looking for penetrative piv sex it might not happen. i don’t always go into detail, but if they’re curious i will tell. i’ve had a decent amt of ppl already know what i was talking about tho when i mention it, so hooray for vaginismus visibility loll!!!

i usually let them know if i’m feeling okay/relaxed we can try, but to just not take it personally if it doesn’t happen.

in my somewhat limited experience ppl are largely accepting, i’ve actually never had a problem— whether it’s long term partners or just hookups. if someone likes you they’ll be willing to work around it, and if they’re not willing they’re not someone worth hooking up with anyways!!

i was suuuuuper worried that having vaginismus would totally kill the dating/hookup pool for me entirely but thankfully it hasn’t! and it’s helpful for weeding out ppl that suck and don’t care abt ur pleasure
