Jim & Jane | Fortune Island, Nasugbu, Batangas
One of the reasons why I love my job so much is that it lets me go to so many places that I have never been to. I've always loved traveling but I never really have the luxury of time to do so as much as I'd love to. So whenever I get inquiries about out-of-town shoots and projects, I always get really really excited. I always look forward to meeting new people, working with a new team and exploring an unfamiliar place. Sometimes I pinch myself because I feel too lucky to be able to do all that while I'm working, it's like a dream come true.
When Anthony Co sent me a message about this engagement photoshoot, I was so happy and grateful. I love engagement shoots! They're always creative and challenging, in a good way. So when I found out that we will be shooting in Fortune Island in Nasugbu, Batangas, my excitement was just overflowing! Fortune Island used to be a luxury resort. Now, it's just an abandoned island but the beauty that stayed through time will still leave you breathless. One of the main attractions in the island is the Acropolis. Some people would say it's the Greece of Batangas.
This has got to be one of my most favorite location shoots I've done in my now three-year career as a professional Hair and Make-up Artist. The place was just really incredibly beautiful and I'm so grateful to have been able to actually be there. Also, I got to work with the very talented and fun people, Anthony Co and Jojo Santos (Anthony Co Photography) and Lec (IGS Cinema). And of course, it was a privilege to be a part of Jim and Jane's engagement session. This couple was very easy to work with and they were very kind to us. Everyone in the team just emanated creativity and good vibes and I think those contributed a lot to how beautifully this photo shoot came out. Kudos to all!
