I just finished Bridgerton season 2 and I’m so upset, The Viscount Who Love Me is my favorite book ever, and I feel that they change the characters so much I don’t even recognize them anymore!
SO SPOILERS ALERT
1. First let’s start with the obvious, it’s not the books. Yes I know this is an adaptation, and I tried lowering my expectations, but they were pretty straightforward with the first season, so I was expecting something similar.
2. A love triangle, really? This is my least favorite romance trope ever, because is so pointless!
3. Edwina: I don’t mind what the did with the character, but her storyline was shit. In the books her and Anthony have no chemistry, they can even hold on a conversation, and in the series she says she is in love with him, wtf!!
4. Kate and Edwina: they did their relationship so dirty I can’t even! In the books there is NO sisters rivalry and it’s perfect, and in the series kate is this controlling sister who doesn’t even seams to care about what Ed wants.
5. Kanthony married time: the best thing about they is their relationship is no just lust, yes they are attracted to each other, but their relationship grows, they are best friends, but here they barely talk.
6. Their backstory: they completely erased Kanthony trauma, Kate fears of storms and Anthony fear of dying young, and this are huge plot points, they basically move the story along.
7. The subplots: wtf was that even, I feel they focus more on this that on Kate and Anthony. I’m not even going to comment on Pen and Eloise arc because it was ridiculously.
8. Mrs. Dorset: the hole point about Kate is that she is really insecure because people find her lacking compared to Edwina, so Anthony basically hiring someone to “date” her would totally break their relationship. And Edwina would never find that romantic, she would give Anthony shit for that and never want to see his face again.
There are so many other things I hated about this season, but I guess this is the major points! I’m just so frustrated with it all, can believe I waited I hole year for this shit!!
