the issue is that eric opened up to adam for the first ever time about how traumatised he was by adam's actions and instead of us focusing on how horrible that was for him, adam responds by saying how lonely he feels and on top of that, comes out as bisexual. so immediately the attention has shifted away from this queer black boy and his trauma and onto the queer white boy, because this is the first time adam's ever vocalised anything so of course the audience are going to care more for him now. and this is a running occurrence with adam and eric's story. eric's pain is always brushed to the side for adam or like in s3 he does something bad so we feel even more sympathy towards adam and it's just weird and annoying because you can easily tell both stories simultaneously and have us support and care for both, but the writers seem to think the only way to make us care for adam is to shit on eric.

A curious mystery (season 4 SPOILERS)

So we know several cast members have departed. Rakhee Thakra, (who played teacher Emily Sands was one of them.)

This interview came out a while ago. Noteworthy because Moordale has closed and she was a teacher there. Season 4 depicts many of the students at a new school, so it would make sense she wouldn't be in it. Maybe Rakhee just reallllly didn't want to give away any spoilers.

When Netflix dropped the premiere date announcement last week, Rakhee was on the cast list. Interesting.

I will add it was reported last year Sex Education was filming some scenes at a cemetary. You could connect the dots here and come to some very sad conclusions about Ms. Sands...or this all could be way off track. Who knows.

Happy Disability Pride month! I'm happy if Isaac has a story but a romance would be nice. He and Maeve are great together. *ducks* but a story, period, would be great.

Do you know if Rahim will be on this final season of Sex Ed? I didn't see him in that teaser, that's why I'm asking. I know it's just a teaser so it might not mean anything but I'm worried because I want him on the show.

I was also surprised not to see Rahim, but tbh I wouldn't worry in advance. From what I know Sami Outalbali wasn't among the cast members who said they wouldn't come back for the fourth season, so I think he will be back indeed. We will just have to wait and see until the proper trailer release, as well as promotional press releases etc.

Not to mention,

This is an excerpt from an interview with Sami for the Attitude Magazine, from a special edition of the magazine to commemorate the release of the third season, back in autumn 2021. There were interviews with the main cast members who play queer characters (Sami Outalbali, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Patricia Allison, Tanya Reynolds), and just. Well. If he doesn't in fact come back then it's just me lying to myself, but tbh I do feel like Rahim's story on the show is far from over, and we will see more of him in just over two months ☺️

We have a premiere data & trailer!

First, the biggest news. Season 4 will be the last season of Sex Education. I don't think this is a big shock to most folx. I think this is a good stopping point given how the story has progressed and the fact that multiple cast members have/are departing for (well deserved!) other work.

Laurie Nunn released a letter to the fans.

Season 4 premieres September 21, 2023.
