More silly doodles of this silly au, this time with extended family,

Okay so, Starting with the Apple Family, or in this case I would call them the Cider Family? This family was made for the city, always rearing to jump into the hustle and bustle with that famous Manehattan attitude.   Granny Smith is a world renowned graphic designer, food critic as well as a world traveler. Mac, still a man of few words, lets his artistic works speak for him. He is known in the art scene for his sculptures and is a frequenter of the underground scene with his poetry. Applebloom is your typical go-getter city gal with never a moment to spare in the big apple.

As for Rarity and her family, I have yet to figure out what Rarity’s folks would be like but I imagine Sweetie Belle being a little more scruff, always trying to prove herself to Ivory by showing how tough she is. Ivory still won’t let her into the caves though, not with those spaghetti arms…

To be frank I don’t think Applebloom and Sweetie Belle have changed much personality wise, just placed into a different setting.

Also again, if you guys have any ideas for names for Sparkling Cider and Ivory’s family members feel free to share!

Edit: Marble is a fitting name for Sweetie Belle, thanks Glitch!

A guy named Glitch suggested a bat as Ivory’s pet and I immediately loved the idea.

Like a little buddy to keep her company down under.

Some more pet stuff.

Our intrepid trio of lovable losers ready to rock the city to its very core.

We have Plume, the groups Flying but don’t ask her to fly she doesn’t feel like it Extraordinaire. Marble, the stern, cautious one who seeks for the more noble path and her sisters acknowledgement in strength and toughness. And of course, Apple Spritzer, who knows the city like the back of her hand and local well known trouble maker.

For a while things were great for Spritz, who had all of Manehattan to herself to do with as she pleased, until a certain someone came along who she was forced to hang out with thanks to her sister.  Marble would often have to tag along with Spritz around the city while their sisters hung out, much to Spritz’s annoyance. Marble’s good natured ethics would often clash with Spritz’s wheel-and-deal attitude, but despite this the two somehow manage to make a semi decent pair balancing out the others weak points, plus it wasn’t hard for Spritz to play up to Marbles desire to be more “tough.” Then one day, a neutral party entered the fray, a young pegasus who was more or less ambivalent to each of the others moral standings, and only really cared about one thing. Together they are, three girls who couldn’t find anyone else better to hang out with.

They’ll laugh, they’ll play, they’ll get into a lot of trouble, and maybe, juuust maybe, they’ll learn a little something about themselves along the way.

Edit’s note: Needed to adjust the colors on Spritz and Marble a bit to balance out the palette among all three, but it still needs some more tweaking. Also, as was stated beforehand, they’re not called the cutie mark crusaders this time around. This is where you guys come in but I’d like to keep the acronym to CMC if at all possible, but suggestions outside of that are fine too.

Edit: That’s a toothpick guys, seriously c’mon.

Edit 2: Wow… you guys had a ton of suggestions in such a short space of time >.>’. Thanks guys! A lot of really good ones too but this time around I gotta thank anon for being so on the ball and suggesting not the CMC, but the MCM.

Whelp, I think I realized a little while back that this was inevitable.

All in all, I’m actually pretty happy with how these came out and I certainly hope it was worth the wait.

Once upon a time, a young filly named Cottontail wanted to be a bear.

Long ago, in a time of disharmony and sorrow, there was a momentous gathering of ponies far and wide for an event promoting love and peace, recognized as one of the largest music concerts in history. There, two young aspiring musicians met and fell in love, and from then on they would go on to create one of the most prominent power duos in the Rock genre, traveling the world and becoming pioneers of a new age of music. Together they had four daughters, all of them demonstrating an aptitude for music on par with their parents, and all of whom would go on to create their own style of rock and push the music industry in new directions.

All of whom… except for one.

The one daughter who never quite felt comfortable performing in front of others. The one daughter who felt that maaaaaybe… her artistic spirit lied in something outside of music.

Edit: There were a TON of entries, I mean wow. A lot of really good ones too, which made it extra tough but I think I’ve finally whittled it down to:

Igneous and Cloudy- Clef Rock and Parsley Sage and their band “The Rock Farm” Marble- Cashmere and her band “Sedimental” Maud- Izzy Rock and her band “Boulder Dash” Limestone- Decibelle and her band “Hard Place”

While the blog is still currently on hiatus, I did get some AU related commissions recently.

I’m honestly thrilled that people want commissions of these characters, and seemingly often to boot, so it makes me wonder if setting up an AU patreon in the future might be a viable option? We’ll have to see.
