As soon as he saw her float towards him, Eddie’s heart began speeding from excitement. Oh, how he missed her !

“ Maria ! ! ” Eddie squeaked with intense joy as he hugged her back. “ It’s been too long ! ” 

Maria squealed softly and squeezed Edward’s frame. “I missed you so much! I’m sorry I left without telling you.”

The cosmic entity rested her chin on his shoulder. “How have you been?”

She massaged her temples.

“How long was I gone?”

:: I felt the RPG muse in me and

I ended up drawing what if Maria was a merchant in an RPG game. Tbh, she absolutely would thanks to her farmstead in the middle of nowhere. She’d be like Nurse Joy--she’s in every town.

She would also run an inn. She takes any currency because she exists in every multiverse and every planet and every dimension.

Maria crouches down, pouring some water from her cosmic hands to the tiny tortoise on the ground. “Parched, aren’t you? Here you go, little guy.” She happily extended sliced apples to it with her other hand.

“Here’s some food for you.”

"I had a dream about you."

A blink of surprise. Her head cocked back ever so slightly. “You did?” Her tone high pitched towards the end.

She never imagined anyone could dream about her until now. It was almost like she forgot she did, in fact, exist to other people. Billions of years of isolation had ingrained in her the idea that she was alone, and although immortal, a temporary memory to all she met.

Maria has always wanted to fight crime with MK. Something ground level like she used to as a soldier. Though she is largely pacifist first, she does not back down from throwing a few fists here and there.
