Mapping Project
This semester has basically been about group work, teamwork, collaboration, involving the audience, stepping out of your comfort zone, and doing things you wouldn't normally do. Also for fun, going to the gym. To tie that into my Mapping Project. I decided to have a little fun with it. For my project the audience(my fellow classmates)(possibly the teacher too) will be performing my project. What will they be performing you ask? Playing a game of basketball against each other. See, being on a basketball involves teamwork, collaboration, and etc. Now I expect my audience to step out of their comfort zone a play some basketball. Now I know thats probably something they wouldn't normally do. In a group this semester, I’ve dealt with people who don't do anything, people who tries to control everything, people who works with everyone to get the assignment done and so on. Your assignment is to get the ball inside the hoop. Your team will not win/complete the assignment if you don't work together. Teamwork and other elements is the key. 12mins on the clock. Let the best team win!!
Body Extension Performance.. I thought the group did good as a whole and the performance went well. The group couldn't pick what to do at first until this idea came along and everyone in the group collaborated effectively despite the disagreements we had. My body extension was to try and catch the eggs/protect them which the cardboard that is held up is part of my extension.. I saved three eggs out of the entire performance

Landscape Gardener: The Visions of O.C. Simonds
Artist Statement:
In light of current worldwide movements and strains, it appears that 2017 will be the same amount of an opportunity to look at the past, keeping in mind the end goal to think about the present, and connect with what's to come. More than 100 years back, a trite landscape architect named Ossian Cole Simonds designed for the University of Michigan a place that today we call the Nichols Arboretum, not only attended the University of Michigan as a student. Artists Malachi Mosley and Nathan Malonis picked this man's life, work, eyes, and words, to go about as an edge through which we can encounter the present. O.C., as his companions called him, was a man expectation on establishing the frameworks not just for the stylish characteristics of a scene, however for life in our nation. This arrangement of masks, or "heads," entitled Landscape Gardener: The Visions of O.C. Simonds faces.
Reflections:
Overall, I think it went well. At the beginning Nathan and I had many other ideas to answer the goal of the project. When coming down with our final decision for the project and having to present our ideas to our fellow classmates, we received a lot of criticism. They didn't think the idea of cache masks was going to work as effectively as we thought but we stuck with our idea anyway. We worked hard together to make sure everything came out good and made sure everything was perfect and easy for them to understand when we presented the entire project in person. At the end, the project came out great. People were amazed and realized what they thought it was going to be wasn't what we knew what it as going to be. It turned out better than anyone expected. Nathan’s presentation was great. Everyone final understood what was the concept behind our idea of the project.
