HEY! if you're writing a historical inspired fantasy/romance/novel and you want the character to wear humble simple clothing you should not make them wear black! true black was difficult to dye and to maintain! this man in my book walking around in full black is not crazy, he's advisor to the king, but he doesn't look poor or simply dressed, as the author wants me to believe!!

The fact that rhysand was ready to forgive tamlin enough to plead for his life and to want to let him live and then when tamlin kills papa night rhys is still forgiving enough to not attack right back (what should he be scared of he's so powerful apparently) but then he spends a couple decades to centuries isolated in his court, acting cruel to everyone but his friends and secret city and once he returns to tamlin is now no longer forgiving and has instead grown more and more resentful of an old feud, all of that makes him emotionally so incredibly stunted. It makes him interesting to me, sure, but I cannot see him as a viable love interest when he is so clearly caught in circles of desperate overthinking and justifying and brooding. He doesn't know himself, he is volatile and selfish and feels so so so so small and makes it everyone else's problem. And I love that about him, but it means that people adoring rhysand for being suave or charming seem to me like they're loving the actor for the act. He's a mess and a terrible person and he's apparently right that he needs that act to be liked, that if he showed himself to be a pathetic mess of egotism and hate and regret he would no longer be sexy and as a character is purpose can only ever be that.

I actually think it would be so funny if there was a movie/tv adaptation of acotar but it flops so they only do book 1. like they would put more foreshadowing and plot intrigue to tease sequels probably but it would still be hilarious to me

Acomaf adaptation could also be funny bc the rhys monologue chapter would have to be flashbacks obv and I don't see how you could not make spring murder night the hearbreakingest gayest breakup. Also rhys in full armour would be running away scared from tamlin in a night gown, hair in curlers, cucumbers stuck on his face. Entertainment.
