Just had the realization that the Backrooms are basically just personalized rogue-like dungeons but in real life. You could probably even reskin a lot of roguelike games to be backrooms themed and it'd work pretty well as a concept, and tbh even a proper Bakcrooms roguelike game would go pretty hard. Semi related but one could even say there's even some overlap between Deltarune dark worlds and Backrooms as a concept. They're both alternate worlds that mirror reality in an interpretive and abstract manner. The key difference is that dark worlds create things based on personal meaning and build upon that personal meaning, while the Backrooms strip away meaning and reduce things to something hollow and horrifying.

Just realized I never showed this here before
I like liminal spaces, and I hate that you can't really talk about it. I think it's at least in theory a cool term but the Redditification of it has made it pretty much impossible to use without it turning heads and sounding extremely awkward, which is sad cause I think it's a neat descriptor.
It seems as though people's understanding of liminal spaces has been reduced to a one note fairly straightforward "spooky" or "eerie" vibe, and it's this one noteness that I don't like.
I feel like a liminal space is a good descriptor for a room or a space that can also double as a piece of art, where in a sense, the room or space itself becomes almost a highly interpretable character, and it's this interpretative nature that makes it interesting! It doesn't have to be spooky! Rooms are like characters and can make you feel any number of different ways! It's not even necessarily something you can articulate!
Liminal spaces are spaces of transition, and it's during these transitions when the viewer is invited to ponder and reflect! And it's the environment around you that warps and interacts with how you ponder and what you feel! This is exactly the moment where the concealed 'character' of the space materializes and reveals itself in your subconscious!
It is exactly the Redditification of new terms as the reason why none of them are poetic, and all of them are reduced to nothing more than a joke, and it's kind of sad. It's like a new concept enters mainstream discussion and the moment it does it's nothing more than a cliched joke.

Eating slop YCH for $5, Will be colored ofc, any clothing, any design doesnt matter, I just prefer to do clothed characters though
There will be some simple-ish shading on the character. Final result will be in line with my normal art in terms of quality. I think it's funny if I try to make the bag hyperdetailed in the final render as opposed to the character that'll remain comparatively simple in terms of artstyle. Dm if for whatever reason you decide that you'd want this.
