Hey, I popped in today and noticed I have a bunch of new followers..?  I’m not sure what happened, but hello!

Unfortunately I won’t be updating for a long time. Without going into too much detail, I’ve been in the hospital for a bit and am super busy with school.

I’m not saying I won’t ever update again, just not for a while.  Hopefully it won’t be two years like last time, but maybe I’ll start up again sometime in June or so.

Anyways, I felt I owed it to all the people who followed me recently to give some sort of update/notice.

Additionally, one thing I really want to do is go back through older episodes of princess precure and gif things!  Stuff for reaction images and the like.  I might do that regardless next week.

Liveblog next week

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of liveblog this past week.  I’ve been absolutely swamped with work.  I do plan on doing a liveblog on Thursday however!  

I had a question for you all- instead of doing a precure episode; I’ve been really wanting to watch Magical Girl Raising Project.  I know I shouldn’t have so many projects open at once, but if I did the latter, I’d do it in batches of three episodes, with not as much commentary (I think).  Additionally it’s spring break next week; so idealy I’d finish the whole series in one week since it is 12 episodes.

That being said!  I’ll let you guys decide which series I do next.  What do y’all want: Kira Precure, Princess Precure, or Raising Project?

:(  Damn it.  I just saw some spoilers for the kira kira season.  I had everything tag blocked but I guess someone didn’t want to tag their spoilers?  

To be honest I LOVE SPOILERS but I made a real effort to not look at any so that this liveblog would be more enjoyable, but now it feels like all that effort went to waste.

Hey guys, sorry for the news but no gopri liveblog today.  The Kirakira one took a lot longer than expected and I’d like to do other stuff today.  

However, I might go back at some point and make some gifs (that I’ve always wanted to make!!) of some episodes for reaction gifs, so expect that maybe?

Wow, I really loved this episode!  I think it was really well done- Himari just oozes with character and she’s freaking adorable.  

AND MORE IMPORTANTLY I’M PRETTY SURE WE GET THE BLUE ONE NEXT EPISODE AND OH MY GOD I AM EXCITED

I’m getting caps for the henshin but saw something kind of weird- the colors of the stars? There are only five precure this season right?  So why are there six of them?  And the sixth one is a green one?  I mean the colors otherwise seem to match up with the current precure.

I don’t think there have been more than five precure in a season (I could very well be wrong though), so maybe the green one is just for decoration?

I love that Ichika gives no fucks about transforming in front of Himari.

The expressions in this show give me life.

Again, Himari loves cooking because it’s so simple and you get exactly what you put into it.  You can’t fail as long as you follow the directions, you won’t be surprised by what happens, you’ll always get a product you’re bound to enjoy as long as you do it correctly- and what is correct is spelled out in steps.

But friendships?  Conversations?  There aren’t easy books on how to do that. There aren’t step by step instructions.  Sometimes people will like you no matter what you do, and sometimes people will hate you despite your best efforts.

I think it’s interesting that Himari directly references the page.  Obviously she knows all about Purin and how to make it, and probably has memorized these pages by heart, but she still goes to the page itself first as a source of knowledge. Maybe she thinks that it’s better to come from the book than from herself, like she’ll be able to control her excitement better.

Also I just noticed the translator’s little “no” at the top of the screen

Oh my god this expression.  She looks like a little wounded animal.  But this time full of a little hope, and my god, isn’t hope a scary thing to experience?

Man, again, Himari’s expressions.  She’s standing far away as possible, arms gathered in front of her, not even looking in the same direction as Ichika, not even facing the same direction as Ichika.

I mean look, you can barely get them both in the same frame.

I’m really curious to see how the series will treat the distance between Himari and Ichika throughout it’s episodes.  How fast will it be for Himari to close the gap?
