Orchestral/RPG soundfont pack for composers
Introduction
This is a compilation of some of the best orchestral soundfonts i’ve found online. It’s got strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion etc. Most of these samples i’ve picked out from a huge 3.5 Gb collection of soundsfonts that someone posted on Newgrounds.
This pack does not hold up to professional high quality VST’s like EWQL or VSL. But as far as soundfonts go, this is probably the best you can get. It’s very fitting for videogame music in that PS1/90′s PC/N64 style, or for modern indie games.
Examples
Here are some examples i’ve made using only this orchestral collection:
1. Minuet in G (J. S. Bach):

Good Luck
Hopefully this will help someone. I use these instruments all the time for indie stuff.
This post was mainly aimed at beginners who have downloaded a DAW but aren’t sure where to start, well having a pack of instruments that sound good together is a good place to start. Now you can start putting together a nice orchestral template that you can always have ready for you when you want to make a new piece.
Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions! (Just send an anonymous ask)
