What makes Shuck rage?

PEOPLE KNOWING WHAT HE IS IMMEDIATELY/PEOPLE SEEING THROUGH HIS BULLSHIT.   As an example, stealing a scene in a canon book, when he first kidnaps Artys he’s convinced that no-one would ever be able to tell that he’s a monster - not in the day time at least. He puts a lot of effort into maintaining his facade as the friendly sheriff who protects them from the beast outside.... and then Artys comes in and sniffs him out immediately. Putting so much effort into keeping his secret and then to have it torn open within seconds of meeting this weird pale thing is plain HUMILIATING, even if he was lucky enough to confront the creature in private first.  People who can see through his lies and tricks infuriate him. Shuck can’t stand the idea of someone being able to poke holes in anything he says - hell, he doesn’t even like being fact-checked or corrected in any way, let alone in a way that exposes his true nature.

Shuck is narcissistic; he’s not particularly delusional about his looks, or that he’s quite rough around the edges, but he feels like he offers so much more to people than anyone else can - with just his existence and the rules he likes to impose on people. Despite lacking formal education he’s convinced he’s smarter than any man in existence, despite being irritable and sadistic he’s convinced he’s the life of the party (and the warm shoulder to lean on) at all times, despite being just a fucked up cursed guy he’s convinced he’s been given the power to consider himself a god. So… all in all, Shucks view on himself is very distorted.

What is Shuck's favorite thing in the world?

HAVING PEOPLE UNDER HIS THUMB- POWER.     Shuck is a social guy. He likes talking to people, he likes having people that revere his words and trust every lie that comes out of his mouth. He wants people to love him, even if that love he wants is built on fear and lies -- it’s all Shuck cares about really, so his favourite thing is his little corner of people-burning/eating paradise where he can indulge in his beast while being loved as the brave Sheriff that protects the innocents from witches and the Creature that hunts the forests at night.
