Once again I am back, I meant to get this finished yesterday for my 1 year redraw but left it a bit late and had to finish it today instead.

I’m very happy with it though so I think it was worth giving it the extra day to cook

There’s a bit of waffle below and the version from last year if you fancy a look :)

I feel a bit silly saying that I’m actually really proud of this but drawing fanart before always felt a bit awkward for me, but somehow redrawing this of all things felt very earnest, I think in no small part because I actually used to listen to the nightcore angel with a shotgun A LOT and I always wished I could draw like that.

I still can’t - I have no idea how to make the hand placement match without making mine look weird and frankly I’ve no interest in drawing anime girls when I can draw middle aged men instead but, that’s beside the point

I sometimes feel like I’m not improving, like I’m just standing still and stagnating in everything - I think with moving and uni on the horizon I feel it especially now, and in all honest I’m scared, it’s just such a big jump. I’m ready for it, I know I am and I know I’ll reach the other side but that doesn’t make the gap any smaller or the ground any closer.

But here I am, with the proof of my progress right in my face, undeniable evidence I’ve moved forward, and I love that being silly has become part of that.
