Adam Taurus Semblance Theory
At this point in time, little is known about this creeper, other than he has a massive thing for Blake, and a hard on for not using his brain and doing the wrong things to help the rest of the Faunus. But today, Iām going to talk about something that I have been sitting on since about volume 2 (yes, that is a long time, and you may ask, why havenāt you posted it earlier? My answer, life)
Now, to date, only a little is known about his semblance; we believe it to be called Moonslice; it seems to absorb attacks and redirect them somehow; it takes a time to use, it is something based on anger, like Yangās semblance, but more of one shot than the whole buffing herself; and it is teenage angsty as hell.
So, since we have revised our notes, letās get to the lesson kids. I believe Adam āDickBagArmChoperā Taurus to have a semblance that works of anger and hostility around him. My reasoning for this, well, this is where things get violent, and weird.
To use his āop, plz nerfā slash, he seems to have to absorb an attack or attacks to power it up, this means that it needs him to be the underdog really, to take the betting then give it back, kind of like the Faunus.
Now tell me something children, if you are fighting someone, what is it that is normally between you? No Timmy, not gun fire (though that is sort of true), the answer I have is hostility! Woo, you get a golden-sticker-cookie-thing.
Now I know that I may have read too much into all this, but god damn it, thatās the point of fan theories. Now, for the rest of this theory, when Yang lunged at him, his slash from just a few shots out of Blakeās tiny gun was enough to cut through her aura And her arm, which is no small feat, even on a huntress in training. So, what was the key element of that fight? Anger. Why was that? Because Adam did something that would obviously piss anyone off, not just a hot head like Yang.
Ā So, after this, what is your opinion, leave a comment below and donāt forget to like the vid and subscribe to see more videos like this in the future. (Seriously though, I would like to hear what you guys think, am I wrong? and if so, how do come to that conclusion?)Ā
Hey look, this idiots not dead
So, itās been some time since I was last on this thing (a year to be precise) but I will be returning, and attempt to be a functioning member of this community. Now, for the real reason I have hoped on, *drum roll please* Iām at RTX Australia. To anyone of my current few followers, I hope to see you guys and gals here, Iāll be in a blue shirt, leather jacket and a black hat. Iāll be taking photos while here, and post them when I get back. Hope to see some people and have a chat!
The Four Horsemen of RWBY cont.
So, a while ago I posted a theory about how the villains of RWBY resembled the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
I want to expand and update my theory after what we saw from the end of the volume.
Sorry itās taken so long to get around to doing this but first I needed to pull myself back together after that ending and I also have work/school, so I never get time to myself anymore. Anyway less talking about me, you came here for the theory!
So my thoughts have changed for some of the horsemen, but some have stayed the same. So this is what I believe;
Cinder is still War
Either still Emerald or some we have yet to see as Pestilence
Adam (Dick who chops off arms) Taurus as Famine
And lovely Salem as Death
Now I donāt think I need to go through everything that I had last time, but you, the lovely tumblrer reading this, might not have seen the original post, so hereās a link.
Now, the reason I say āEither still Emerald or some we have yet to see as Pestilenceā is because, no offence to the character meant but I donāt believe her to be a core component to the bad guys, and I have a feeling that she wonāt be with them for much longer, either getting killed, or switching sides. So this leads me to believe that maybe that havenāt quite brought out the big guns yet, so maybe there is some one that might come along later that fits the role better, but this is pure speculation.
The reason I changed to having Adam to Famine is because I was thinking it before, but never really thought he had a big enough role to show me what I was looking for, and after the end of the volume I had what I needed. Adam fights for the rights of Faunus, who are treated poorly and badly, but we know this part, so letās fast-forward. If you look at it in a certain light, you could say the Faunus are starved for rights, and Adam wants to return the favour, so this leads to my thought on it (along with some other things like his semblance that I will discuss in a separate theory).
So last time I said I didnāt know who death would be, but I knew they had to have a black and white colour scheme, as that is typical with death, so you can just guess when I saw
Yeah, there is no mistaking that this is our lovely death, in all her unholy beauty. And yes, I will admit that I messed up in guessing that Ironwood was the big bad guy, but I happy to see what we got instead, so Yay. Anyway, also last time I said something towards the āā¦and by the wild beasts of the earth.ā quote, now as some people are thing the same as me, that Salem has something to do with the Grimm, just from the way she looks, that this idea is getting more scary, as before that part it says āā¦They were given power over a fourth of the earth to killā¦ā soooooo, yeah, thatās, welp.
Anyway, thatās all I have for the moment on this theory, if anyone would like to join in on this speculation train then fell free, I always like to see different ideas.
And like last time, if there is something people want me to add, or something I got wrong/missed out, please tell me so I can edit the post :)
(Also, as a little side note, I got these images from the RWBY wiki, the little comments they have for some of these images are legit the best, for example the cinder one is āIron Cinderā, and one further along is her vs Pyrrha and is calls āIron Cinder vs Captain Canadaā. I love those guys <3 )
mmmm idk
This ship makes Nora sad
this rude comment makes me sad
Honestly, I think Nora would be sitting off to the side goingĀ āYeah, now do her!ā
I have to ask the RWBY fndm one thing, did a single ship manage to make it through this volume?

The Four Horsemen of RWBY
So I was thinking, what if the Bad guys represented the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Originally this thought came to me while I was dreaming, and upon waking, I thought it sounded like a possible theory. Now before you call me more crazy than normal, just read what I have to say and then make your conclusions.
The characters I believe represent the horsemen are;
Cinder as War
Emerald as Pestilence
Mercury as Famine
So in my wisdom I decided to do some researching on the four horsemen. As it turns out the more I looked up, the more likely it sounded. this is what i found along with what I already know (Moslty from Supernatural)
The first we see is a man on a white horse. (Rev 6:1-8 NIV)Ā I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!" {2} I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.Ā
Now this confused me for some time as this really didnāt fit, until I rememberedā¦ā¦
Pretty boy roman. This works for him as he was in a Conquer everything mind within this series so far, and his weapon is ranged soĀ ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Then we see the red horse. {3} When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" {4} Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.
I would love for someone to tell me this doesnāt sound like Cinder.
Next we have the black horse. {5} When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. {6} Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"
Now I will admit this has me a little stumped, but nothing in it really seems to disprove my claim, nor does it support it so weāll skip this for now.
Now onto the last bit, the pale horse. {7} When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" {8} I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.Ā
Now, this is talking about death, which I havenāt mentioned yet, this is because I have always suspected that Cinder wasnāt the head honcho, so I believe this may describe the final member of them baddies, and I believe it may actually be Ironwood, as this almost describes him. Also I think the thing the spooks me more than this describing Ironwood is ā...and by the wild beasts of the earth.ā Now, what do we think that might mean.
Now I know this doesnāt talk about Pestilence, but we all should remember that he is one of the four horsemen. Now my claim to Pestilence being Emerald is that she plagues the mind, making them see something different, or something to that effect.
Now I realize that a lot of this is pure speculation, and may be incorrect, but I still think it is a possibility that I want everyone to just think over.
If there is anything that people want me to add (or I got wrong), please tell me, and I will look into editing the post.
EDIT:Ā So something has come to my attention, Its possible that maybe Adam is atually Famine, not Mercury. It makes a bit more sense (Along with still sticking with the whole colour thing) because of the situation with the White Fang as they are starved of rights.
Semblances as Hardships
We know that semblances are supposed to be the representation of someoneās soul, but from what I can see, it almost looks like it represents some of their biggest flaws or hardships, things they are dealing with in their lives. Letās take the most obvious example:
Blake
She says it herself:
āI was born with the ability to leave behind a shadow of myself - an empty copy that takes the hit while I run away!ā
She runs away, lets others deal with the fallout. Thatās been a recurring theme with her, so much so that she almost gets herself into a lot of trouble trying to do the opposite in volume 2. She realizes that itās a weakness, a flaw, and tries too hard to rectify it.
The next most obvious is Yang. Her ability itself isnāt necessarily a representation of her flaw, but the way in which she uses it is. Anger. Rage. Things she has serious issues with. Itās what made her the obvious target for Cinder in āFallā, and her semblance pushes her further with it. She never just takes a hit, she always hits back, and hits back harder.
She literally punches things to deal with them, which presented a big problem against enemies like Neo
And Neon
So anger is a pretty big flaw of hers, and her semblance is very much linked with it.
The remaining two arenāt necessarily linked to the characters flaws, but they are linked to hardships the characters have faced.
Weiss is the more obvious of the two. It isnāt as obvious, but it fits with the theme. While her semblance isnāt necessarily representative of her hardships, the nature of it is. Itās hereditary.
What we see from both Weiss and Winter is that theyāve rebelled against their family. The Schnee family is one of the most powerful in the world from what weāve seen. If you are a Schnee, youāre supposed to be just like the rest of your family. Go to school in Atlas. Get a job at the Schnee Dust Company. Weiss, however, rebels against that. It is a large hardship in her life, as she and Winter discussed.
Last but not least, Ruby. Her semblance is her speed. If thereās one thing weāve noticed in the show, itās that she has been forced to speed through her life a lot faster than anyone else.
Her mother died when she was at an early age.
She was trained by an elite huntsman with an extremely dangerous weapon at a very young age.
She was given early admittance to a school.
She was placed as the leader of a team, despite being younger than all of them.
She had to stop a Grimm invasion as her first mission.
It looks to me like sheās been rushed into everything in her life, with very little control. Yes, sheās taken it in stride, but sheās 15. It would be downright irresponsible to ignore the possible psychological impacts of all of these events happening to a girl who hasnāt even had her sweet 16 yet.
Overall, the semblances that weāve seen to a greater extent all seem to represent the hardships in their userās lives a lot more than their personalities. Of course there are examples where this doesnāt appear to be the case, but keep in mind that we donāt know the stories of everyone just yet. Iām not quite sure what implications this might have, but itās an interesting notion to say the least.
