Following on form my last post, the Woodland Follies Exhibition by Nottingham artist and illustrator Jodie Paterson opens this week! The Private View evening will be 6pm-9pm Sat 22nd March and runs until the following Sunday. The show promises to be an intriguing compilation of the many different strands of her practice, bringing you playful and beautiful depictions of nature. Not to be missed!

This is a taste of what you could learn, little lace snake book marks. I was assured that lace is not as complicated as it looks! There are only two stitches involved in all lace, you will learn the first one and make these chaps!
Lace, a wonderful heritage craft that is not often seen anymore. Fear not! The Malt Cross Gallery has just confirmed its first ever lace workshop 11th May! There are only 8 spaces so you had better be quick off the mark! [email protected] to book.

Sorry, its been a while. I have been very busy over this way sorting out the multitude of events/workshops/exhibitions/dark rooms/pop up shops rolling out this year in the gallery! Keep you eyes open for updates on our facebook and twitter.

If you have never heard of the process or would like to find out more about any of the workshops going on here at the Malt Cross Gallery then come along to the Private View Evening of the Workshops Exhibition on the 1st February. you'l have the chance to see examples of work and talk to the artists themselves. I will also be there to talk about other events going on in the gallery this year (Hi, I'm Becky Critchlow, I run the gallery!). An Evening not to be missed!
[email protected] for more info or to book your place. Places are limited so I would get in there as fast as you can! We have an exhibition of work from the artists and crafts folk leading these classes so if you want to get a flavour for a particular workshop your considering then I would highly recommend coming along to the Private View Evening 6pm-9pm February 1st.
