In truth, she was grateful for the idea of retreat, finding the atmosphere consuming and distracting. She was doing her best to hide it, but knew she needed to feed, despite every part of her not wishing to. She knew what this did to her family before, and did not wish to resume where her brother left off.
"I'll -- slip away , it's a temp job anyway." She took the apron off, discarding it onto the counter, before she slipped beneath it for a quick retreat. "I need peace , but in this world , I don't think I will ever get it." She had been confused by the statement about Klaus, but chose not to dig deeper -- not yet anyway.
Hayley was truthfully ready to just drag the other woman out, at least she was willing if the woman wouldn't leave. Because vampirism was a struggle..a big one for her. She'd died over it but had been returned anyways. And Hayley could think of nothing else but getting the off balance woman somewhere comfortable. Cemi seemed to know what was best for her and stripped the apron off and discarded it. "Look.. we'll go out the back. I got a place not far from here, Hope's already in bed so we have time. We'll get you fed and settled and caught up best we can.. okay?" She held her hand out to the woman
