Do you ever get burnt out from being the Big? As a woman, when everyone wants you to be mommy, it can feel a lot like being used, even if I like being mommy to the right people. Do you also experience subby/little people trying to use you/not valuing you as a person?

Welcome to the fucking show haha. I don't know any Bigs that doesn't get burnt out from being a big, especially ones that have some level of online presence. Especially Mommies, I could probably (and probably shouldn't) go on a whole rant about how mommies are kind of set up to fail (especially if they don't have interest in monetizing their kink). But the basic thing is that society already forces motherly expectations onto women, add in the fact that mommies are extremely rare and this kink is literally about being reliant on others. Burn out is practically expected.

This experience is so extremely common that it has a term, people treat you like a "kink dispenser". And the ageplay community (and sometimes the rope community) are very very very bad with treating people like kink dispensers. The ageplay community feels like it's like two decades behind modern kink discourse, where we talk about enthusiastic or informed consent and expectations and communication and bottom responsibility. I have dealt with it so much that I have made a rule for myself that I don't engage with people who do not ask directly for what they want/need. If someone expects kink out of me, never playing with them. If someone gets frustrated because I did not answer them or we're going to the same party and I didn't approach them, never playing with them. If someone is hinting about how they wish that someone would diaper them in hopes that I do it, never playing with them.

Honestly I wonder if I should post a guide for how to set boundaries and expectations for bigs. Even just hearing what other bigs have to say could be useful.

Also shout out to the wonderful few that I still talk to, I know I'm not great at keeping up but if I have actively talked to you in the past year, know that I probably value you more than you will ever know.

I just read through Amaryllis and I'd just like to say I think it's the most attractive and gut-wrenching smut I've ever experienced. I've read pages and pages of romance but I've never seen such a beautiful and tragic dynamic captured so succinctly. hi.... first time sending an ask on this blog (I think?) but I was just wondering if you had any ideas of like.... how to make a makeshift diaper? like nothing that actually absorbs (I have my own general idea of that), but so far all I've been able to find are period pants and thankfully I can buy them without anybody suspecting anything (I live at home with people) since I'm a female.

for a while I thought that towels would be good, but it always ends up with one side being too short and so I either have to hold it very awkwardly in place or something like that. I think the best thing I've found that maybe works is two pairs of period pants ontop of eachother?

unfortunately i was never really a "makeshift diaper" kind of person, aside from stuffing blankets into my pants when i was in bed at an age when i didn't really understand what i was feeling. if you really don't have a place to hide things, it's a little unavoidable that you'll have to settle for something less conspicuous. goodnites have been semi-decent in my experience, and the whole period panties cover should be just fine for those as well. if anyone asks questions, they're kind of the weirdo in that scenario for prying about the specifics of what products you buy for your periods.

also i imagine towels will just chafe and not give anything close to the desired effect, the primary appeal to me being the softness and tactile feel of them.
