Heey, I just saw the awards announcement and I'm really curious because I never knew about them 😯 how are the fanfics chosen? Can we as fans nominate our favs?? And can all the works participate or do they have to be finished in order to be elegible? Thanks! <33

In March, after we gather some volunteers, polls will be sent out for different categories. Generally it's broken up over the course of a few days, somewhere usually around 5. But it'll depend on how many categories we end up with and how many volunteers to help be in charge of these polls.
The first round will be nominations. We'll share the links to the polls here and all fans/writers/anyone in our community who want to participate can nominate. We usually start with 5 nominations per category and then will vote from all the nominations we get in the following 2 rounds of voting.
Qualifications for nominations include:
- Any story posted on Ao3 under the tags “Karate Kid (Movies)” and/or “Cobra Kai (Web Series)”
- Started, updated or finished during the period of Jan 1, 2024 February 28, 2025
- Have a word count of 10k or more (this requirement is for Work In Progress only)*
*since this is the final one we might make adjustments to the word count barrier but that is one of the qualification from the previous 6 annual award ceremonies.

Well, Andy said he's gonna need some weekend time to himself. Looks like he's finally taking care of himself, that's great! I'm so happy for him!!!
So, I went through some resumes and gave him the ones that passed my tests.
He spent every night this week with a new possible recruit, as he called them, to find the right fit. I told him either one would do, but he said, and I quote "Sorry Ms. L, but I'm not putting over 10 years of my work here, at Larusso Auto, on the line for just any probie."
Oh well. *smiles* I knew there was a reason why I kept him.
So, Andy says he's picked the guy...
Declan Phieffer, former college football player and graduate, comes from a law enforcement family and is a great critical thinker.
Andy says he has what it takes to go far and will be a good face--I mean--good fit, in the Larusso Auto family.
Well.... At least maybe *someone* (@everyonesfavoritegoldenboy) will stop laughing over a certain bubbly blond bartender.
Maybe you guys at the inn should plan a weekend company retreat. Sheila can give you some pointers, she's been having a wonderful time planning ours this year.

Angela came to me just this morning and was wondering if we had enough room on the staff to take on some of her sorority girlfriends for some... internship credits... I know it's voluntary...but these girls gotta keep their strength up...so I told them they keep all the tips they make...plus bonuses if they bring more customers...Look at THIS EYE CANDY, Babe:

Oh hey, Babe, if you're up for it, we'd love to have everyone at the inn come along for our retreat. Declan was hanging around Shelia the other day helping her plan everything. He managed to set up an all-day sports fest with the guys from the other branches, he even pulled in some of his old college buddies.
Can you believe that he actually asked me, in passing, if I'd be playing? You know me, I haven't been all that big on sports, aside from *ahem* skating... But before I could kindly decline, big mouth @jerseysanswertogodamongidiots laughed so hard, that he gave me no choice! So you KNOW that I had to accept the challenge!
Even got Sheila to join in. (Wasn't much of a push, though. Something gives me a feeling that she's a ringer. She's always talking about growing up with three brothers).
Declan was so glad to hear, that he even offered to teach us the ropes. So there's gonna be volleyball and two hand touch football. Just hope I don't fall on my ass in front of the whole company.
Yeah... bring those dudes...and tell them we got the ladies here! The more the merrier. (tries not to be jealous of all the ripped abs and grabby hands...goes out back to take it out on the woodpile recently made from destroyed volleyball court)

I was about to close up the park and head home when my phone rang. It was Amanda. She hadn't called in weeks. I started to ignore it, but maybe it was about Robby. I hadn't seen him in a month.
(Why does he have to make this so hard? Maybe because he knows his worth and you should to!?) "Well, I've really been through some crazy shit, the past year. Really scrambled the eggs good. Made me start to revert back to a part of my life I thought I had left behind. Made me act like a stupid kid with her head up her ass. Made me hurt people that trusted me, people that I...care about, very much.
*blinks away the tear forming and looks at something--anything else, to try and change the subject* "I...uh, I had a long talk with Sam and I'm working on getting better. For myself, for ALL my kids, and maybe, if I'm lucky...someone special."
