I was once invited to accompany a new friend to the house of a woman who did spirit board readings. It was an interesting experience in and of itself - she had an elderly mother whose attendant lived with her also who happened to be a pregnant Australian witch. But it was also the first time I had outside recognition of the host of spirits that I carry with me. The woman remarked on them when I first arrived and then again during the reading saying something along the lines of "you need to do a spiritual cleaning, you have negative spirits attached to you." I was surprisingly amused at this and causally dismissed her "yea, they're not for everyone. And they're not evil, but they're not good either" and gave her a wink.
