“Oh my god.” He gasped as he held her for the first time. She was an actual human person, not just a picture on a screen or light flutters against his skin. Devin knew he was going to be wrapped around her finger just like he was his girlfriend. “Hi baby. You look just like your mommy, don’t you princess?” He kissed her forehead. “You just had to wait for me I guess.”

Katherine smiled “We made her, we made that little angel girl,” she said softly as she watched the baby just become comfortable in her fathers arms. “She’s such a perfect combination of us, babe, we took the best of us and put it into all three of our beautiful little ones,” she sent the picture to Jo, Savannah and their closest friends and family. “She just wanted you to be the first person she saw,”

Devin wrapped his arms around them. “There’s nowhere I rather be.” He gently kissed her. If there any doubt in his mind he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, it all disappeared. “She gonna be so cute. Just like her mother.” He smiled softly. “I hope she has your eyes.” Devin took a deep breath and nodded. It was scary holding your child for the first time.

Katherine softly returned the kiss and smiled “She’s going to be an angel,” the woman said as she placed the little girl in her dad’s arms and took her phone from the nightstand and took a picture. Katherine looked at the little girl who finally opened her eyes and stared right up at her dad. “Aw, you’re the first person she saw, look at those beautiful eyes,”

He nodded his head and watched what was happening with awe. All the young father could do was whisper sweet nothings in her ear. When they baby was finally out. Devin kissed the side of Katherine’s head. “You did so good baby. So good.” He couldn’t keep his eyes off the baby girl as she was handed to her mother. She was one of most precious things he’s ever seen. “Hi beautiful. i’m your daddy.” He whispered, running a finger gently over the baby’s cheek.

Katherine smiled at Devin “Thank you, babe, there was no way in the world I could’ve done without you,” she said “She’s gonna be short like me,” Katherine laughed as she looked at Devin and sniffled a little bit “She’s got your cute nose,” the woman said as she just held the little girl in her arms “Does daddy wanna hold his little girl?” she asked.

He smiled at the thought. “I’m going to officially be a girl dad.” Hopefully Hero, Brandon and Miles had prepared him enough for this moment. Devin’s hand unconsciously went to her leg where he ran is fingers up and down to try to comfort her through the pain. His ear were ringing at her words but he knew he needed to remain calm. “Okay. Okay. Let’s do this. Where do you want me babe?”

“Just stay right behind me, please,” Katherine said as she breathed out and after an hour or so of pushing the baby had finally arrived, the midwife took the little girl to gently clean her up and then handed her Katherine wrapped in a warm blanket and helped Katherine clean up. “Look at her, hi little lady,” she cooed at her newborn daughter and was finally able to relax her legs down feeling the soreness immediately. “She’s perfectly healthy, the doctor will be around soon just to double check her and you over for me but when I weighed her she was an even six pounds and she was fourteen inches, tiny little thing,” the midwife said with a smile as she began to clean everything up.

The whole time she was being examined Devin tried to focus on her so he didn’t worry so much. He ran his fingers through her hair until the midwife was done. “I know baby and we’ll figure it out before she comes. I promise.” He did not want her stressing out over this

Katherine laid her head back against Devin “She’s gonna be here soon, I can’t believe this is really happening,” the woman said as she kept her legs propped up, it was the most comfortable position for her right now as she worked through the contractions. The midwife stepped back into the room and had a few things she would need when the baby came. “I think I need to push, I just feel it,” Katherine said looking around

The man quickly sprang into action, rubbing her back softly. “It’s okay baby. Just breathe.” Devin whispered. He knew there wasn’t much time left and every single time he feels absolutely helpless. “What can I do honey?”

As the midwife came in, Katherine felt the pain in her back only get worse, she took a few deep breaths as the midwife checked her progress. “You’re so close, honey, you’re doing so well, we’re at an eight now, i’m going to get some things ready for baby, just yell if anything changes,” she said to the couple. “Oh shit, Devin, do we even have a name picked out?” she said pressing her eyes closed

Winging it made him slightly nervous but as Jo told him in the past babies live by their own rules. “So we do have a midwife?” Devin laughed. He rubbed the back of her hand with his thumb. “Everything is going to be okay baby. This just means she really wants to meet us.”

“Yes we do, babe,” she said as she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend and took a deep breath. “She’s on her way,” the woman mumbled as she felt a strong contraction hit her hard. “I don’t think it’s gonna be too long now,” Katherine said as she kept herself close to Devin, the only place she was really actually feeling comfortable.

Devin sat down on the bed next to Katherine to make it a bit more comfortable with everything going on. “What do you want me to do?” He bit his lip, hating to adm this next part. “During my panicking I sort of forgot everything we planned.”

Katherine smiled “Don’t worry about forgetting everything, I kinda forgot too so we’ll just wing it,” she said “I’ve been keeping in touch with my midwife,” she said as she felt the pressure in her spine alleviate. “I think my water just broke,” Katherine said with a gasp as she rubbed over her bump

Devin did not really have to worry because if they’re were people he trusted with his kids it would be Hero and Jo followed by Dylan and Sav. He smiled as he wrapped his arms around his best friend. “I think I’ll be okay H.” Devin told him before the couple walked out. He turned his attention toward Katherine. “How you feeling honey?” He asked, holding out his hand

Katherine looked at Devin and took his hand “Feeling a lot of pressure in my back, like my water is gonna break soon,” she said as she leaned her body forehead to rest her head on his shoulder as she kept her hand in his “This baby is just taking it’s sweet time making my water break,” she said as she sighed

“I can take that.” She laughed before stepping forward. She looked a lot like her sister so she was hoping that would help bring the toddler to go to her. “Hey JJ. I know it’s scary but daddy is going to take really good care of mommy while we go play. You can even help me feed Athena. How does that sound?” She asked, opening her arms. If there was one thing that made her excited about having a boy it was a relationship like Katherine had with her boys.

Jayden looked at his aunt and finally moved from his mom’s side and ran over to his aunt almost tripping on his little feet as Katherine looked over with a smile “You guys are truly so lucky to have the auntie and uncle that you do,” Katherine said “I think we’re the lucky ones Kat, we’ll take them downstairs, just let us know when baby comes,” Hero said hugging his sister in law and then going over to Devin wrapping his arm around him “If you need me I’ll be downstairs,” he said “You got this though, you’re gonna do great, you both are,”

“What are the stakes mister?” The girl smirked as Devin shrugged. “Honestly man. ever since I heard the word labor I forgot everything that was planned.” Jo picked up their oldest. “Thinking about it. But my final decision is based on how today goes.” She explained. “You know how I feel about hospitals.” The man ran up the steps, sighing when he walked into the bedroom. “Oh my angel.”

“I don’t know, how about all the cooking for a month,” Hero said with a laugh as he walked in “Hey boys, wanna come hang out with Uncle Hero?” he asked as he held his arms out for the boys as Asher came running over but the littlest didn’t wanna leave his mothers side. “Baby you’re gonna have so much with auntie Jo and uncle Hero, you can come back in when baby is here,” she said softly kissing her sons cheek.

“You wanna bet honey because I will absolutely take you up on that.” She laughed, holding on to the sleeping girl so she didn’t move around much. Jo smiled. “I already told her we will take the boys when we arrive. Is it going to be just the two of you?” Devin squinted, trying to think. “I think so.” He couldn’t remember. “I love that idea. Just you and me.” Jo told Hero as they got the kids. Devin was running into the house. “Baby? Jay? Ash?” He called.

“I will take that bet, yes ma’am,” Hero said “Well I think the midwife is going to be there too, right?” the male asked as they walked into the house “You want a home birth too next time?” Hero asked. When Katherine heard Devin’s voice she sighed some relief “In here, babe,” she called from the bedroom as she took another deep breath

“I love you too Kitty. So much. You don’t have to thank me. I’ll always do anything for you.” The girl playing rolled her eyes. “It’s partly because you are surrounded by girls all day. Also you might be manifesting us having a boy. When the phone was answered, Devin spoke quietly. “I’m inside. Sav was really worried so she has been calming me down. I’m fine Vannah. Really.” The pink haired girl smiled. “Call us after the baby gets here.” He nodded, walking out of the house and over to Hero. “How’s Katherine? Is she okay?”

“I’m convinced our next one is going to be a girl again and then a boy after that,” Hero said with a chuckle as he opened the passenger door for Devin and got in on his own side of the car buckling himself in. “I think she’s doing well, the boys are with her and keeping her distracted,” Hero said as he looked over to Devin “I’ll be here if you need me at any point,” the man said as he pulled up to the house and got out to help is wife.

“I’ll make sure to keep them occupied when we get there.” She reassured her older sister because she knew that this was a stressful thing and the boys didn’t need to see that. Plus she really should really be able to focus on herself right now. Jo kissed her husband gently as she got in. “My knight in shining armor.”

“Thank you so much Jojo, I love you so much, I don’t know what I’d do without you,” she said softly as she smiled. Hero smiled returning the kiss “Anything for family, we’re gonna have some auntie and uncle duty, I can’t wait to see those guys,” he said as he began to drive and arrived at Dylan’s house. “Devin?” the male called getting out of the car, Hero took out his phone dialing the male’s number.

“It doesn’t matter sis. If anything, it’s the boys fault for getting us pregnant at the same time.” She laughed, trying to calm her sister down. “It’ll be like having a twin without having to constantly be around them.” Jo ran her fingers through his hair. “We’ll be there in like twenty minutes. Do you think you’ll be okay until then? Where are the boys?” The blonde went to hand Nevaeh off to her father but the sleepy girl clung to her mother. “I think i’m going to sit in the back with them.”

“Oh god yes I agree,” Katherine said with a laugh as she looked at her boys “both of them won’t leave my side, I just wanna scream how painful these are but I’m keeping my cool for my two munchkins,” she replied “I’ll be here, I’ll be fine, I’m just gonna lay with the boys until then,” she said as Hero nodded “Sounds good my love, let me help you in,” he said opening the door for her.

“Damn it Kat.” She lightly scolded. “Why didn’t you tell anyone?” Jo knew how unpredictable third babies could be considering she just had hers. Devin nodded his head as he slowly did what his brother in law told him to do. The younger Langford sighed as she went to get her two oldest

“I know I should’ve said something to someone,” Katherine said as she rested her hand on her side. “I feel bad that you just had your little girl, I guess cousin was ready to share the spotlight,” the woman said as she leaned her body back against the headboard. Hero helped his wife get the girls ready, grabbing the carseat picking it up holding his other daughter in his other arm getting them out to the car and buckled in. “Do you want me to get her?” Hero asked offering his arms out to his oldest.

“How long have you been feeling like this?” Jo could only imagine what she was going through especially home by herself. “This is different than the boys. So different.” Devin mumbled, wishing he knew why it was different. The blonde looked at her husband. “I don’t know babe. Maybe we should take them too.”

“I would say probably this morning,” Katherine said as she rubbed her bump a little bit “I think I just felt my first contraction but my water hasn’t broke,” she said to her sister “Don’t worry, Devin, it’ll all be okay, we’re coming right now,” he said “Drive your car back to Dylan’s if you can, we’ll pick you up there and he can bring the car in the morning,” Hero said “So we’re gonna take our car it’s just better for the car seats,” he told his wife “We’ll take them with us too,”
