Typhoon Ulyses:Another History to tell

I was on duty that time, later that afternoon I was not aware that our place Metro Manila was placed at signal #3, Heavy rain was starting to pour in,followed by strong winds, never in my imagination that this typhoon will be different.

Came 11pm I was awaken by hustling sound from the outside, the amount of Rain and Wind was scary, it was the same feeling the time we experience Super Typhoon Ondoy.

I 'am wake the whole night, restless and afraid.

By 1am electricity we're cut, honestly we thought this would only last for a few hours.

Came around 6am, electricity still unrestored, Internet connection was weak, impossible to communicate continuously. Still I thought this rain and wind will stop.

Until 8am my partner was about to go outside and purchase food items,

He was shock and came back and Flood is already knee deep, it was only 2 hours since he went outside. For this I know this typhoon is no joke.

Fast forward, our electricity restored by 7pm and after we switch our television, we are lucky, other areas are heavy flooded there are casualties they lost their homes, assets and to others their loved ones.

I am thankful yet another lessoned learned,

I don't have a Emergency Kit it was a shock to me as a mother how come It never crossed my mind. (As of writing this article I am preparing also our emergency kit)

Emergency happens every time, I've made a list of emergency kit ready and what we should put on it,should disaster strike.

I've compiled and research easy emergency kit that will cost you a minimal amount and some items are ready available in your home.

This kit should last for 72 hours

1.Power Bank/Charging Device

2.First Aid Kit&Medicine

3.Multi Tool Knife/Army Knife

4.Bottled Water(1 gallon per person)

(can opener, screw driver)

5.Flashlight and Batteries

6.Ready to eat canned goods

7.Important Documents

(Birth Certificate, Bank Records, & Identification Cards)

8.Pocket Money (Cash) 1 month Salary

9.Sanitation Kit

(garbage bag, hair ties, soap, pads & towelettes)

10.Whistle

11.Water proof plastic and heavy duty duct tape

12.Lighter

13.Waterproof Container or bag

After Emergency you may need to survive for a few days. Emergency kit will serve its purpose. Preparation is one thing.

Paranoid

This past week ay nakaka paranoid talaga, galing from a family celebration last week, then come on Monday, pakiramdam ko masakit lalamunan ko(cheat day buong weekends)

Ice cream, unlimited juice and cold water kaya nabugbog si lalamunan, kinabukasan which is Monday masakit na nga ang lalamunan ko pero I know naman na dahil sa mga na consume ko ng weekend.

Pero dahil pala browse ako at pala basa si Mama ni Neo,bigla may nabasa ako na article about Covid Symptoms,

😢 Tinakot ang sarili😢

In the middle of Monday night, sobrang takot ko and sa nabasa ko pero syempre I shrugged it off dahil alam ko nga na it's not connected with Covid 19

Then siguro dala ng pagiging nanay, Neo was sleeping beside me, napaisip ako paano if magka sakit ako?

Naiyak ako sabi ko wala lang to wag ka maparanoid.

The next day Tuesday was OK, then last Wednesday I need to go out for my work duties(at least once a week na store visit)

Pag uwi sa bahay ng Wednesday the usual routine (ligo agad), pakiramdam ko pagod na pagod ako that night(late nadin ako nakauwi and 5am gising na ko that day also)

I slept well naman agad that day.

Then Thursday morning around 5am again na gising ako siguro nanaginip ako pero hindi ko marecall, pero nagising ako I am scared and bigla napray, then tinignan si Neo

"Lord pls wag nyo po ako hayaan magka sakit at mga mahal ko sa buhay"

I'm not scared of my life but for my son and the people around me

That Thursday morning grabe realization to take care of myself

Hindi ako pala vitamins, I sleep late, I don't exercise, I eat unhealthy foods

My lifestyle was not healthy at all.

I am trying to loose weight dati pa because I want to look and feel good.

Pero iba pala kapag pag family mo yung involve yung takot na dahil sa unhealthy life style mo madadamay mo sila.

So that morning I drink my vitamins and do some errands para pag pawisan, naghalfday sa WFH just to settle myself and not over think, what if meron ako?

Ano gagawin ko

What if madagdagan ung symptoms na nararamdaman ko?

Then come this Thursday afternoon

DUMATING SI PERIOD😂

Na relieved ako dahil yung mga feeling pagod and parang magkakasakit is my symptoms bago magka period pero di ko alam na magkakaperiod na ako because 7 days early sya compare sa mga previous months.

Pero after this incident

Hindi na ako hirap sa pag Iwas sa carbs, no more coffee(ginagawa ko kasi tubig to)

Ngayon habang sinusulat ko to, late na at puyat na naman ako, pero I want to write this now because I want to remind myself na I really should prioritize my health.

And ayoko na matakot, maparanoid at maiyak ng ganoon.

Lalo na yung moment na nagising ako napatingin ako kay Neo

Ngayon I want be healthy and have a balance life.

Please take care of yourself mga mommies, mama, nanay and alagaan din natin lahat ng nakapaligid satin.

Always remind them to take their vitamins, sleep, exercise and stress free life.

Rare moments

As a mom, I know time will come that I will miss this moments:

You crave for our attention and touch

You being dependent with us based on our decisions

You sleep beside us during the night, and wake up with your beautiful smile

I'm surely gonna miss this moments where we can still carry you like a baby.

Sulit buffet na 250?

It's my Papa's 60th birthday na,kaya isip ng magandang ganap na pasok sa budget ang naisipan namin ni ate, since ayaw din nila mama at papa na masyadong magastos (mas gusto nila sa tindhan nalang para extra paninda 😂😂😂).Simpleng kainan nalang.

Lunch out nalang naisip ko since pag gabi dun maraming suki sa tindahan.

First choice ay sa Luyong Concepcion dahil iba ang tastebuds ni Mama,yun ang first resto na gusto nya , so sa 3 days todo compute para umabot sa budget dahil 11 adults kami with 2 babies kaya imagine kaya ba ng 3k para 11 na adult?

Kung kasya ba, ang tanong mabubusog ba?

So dahil di pa nasasagot ang palaisipan na yan hanap pa ng ibang options, until piniem sakin ng aking Tita ang:

So good to be true ito mga mamsh, kaya chineck ko ang page sa fb nila baka kasi scam diba, i mean baka mura nga tapos di masarap ang food or worst ang customer service.

Chineck ko ang reviews at sakto lang parang balance na may good at may bad reviews pero more on reservations ung bad reviews nila.

So fast forward the day ng Lunch out namin, maulan ulan pa, andyan na si Habagat, morning tinry ko na tawagan ung number na nasa fb page nila, mga around 8am yun.

At holla may sumagot 👍👍👍

Nagtanong ako if may available seats pa good for 11 adults.

Sabi sakin nung lalaki na sumagot,'' Mam balikan kita icheck po namin''

So crossed fingers, na sana meron pa,after 30 minutes, nagreply sya na meron pa.

So yes 🎊✨🎈✔️📢

Fast forward ulit, pagdating sa venue sarado pa sila (maaga kami, excited eh 10:30 andun na kami)

Ang reservation namin ay 11am to 1pm.

Eto yung mga food choices, di ko napicturan lahat dahil #Foodislife,pero masasarap yung food nila, lutong bahay pero masarap at ang maganda mabilis sila magrefill kaya kung maubusan man saglit lang.

Maganda pa dito sobrang bait ng may ari very accomodating sa discounts also at pinipicturan din nila kada table, active si mommy sa fb.

At ang bongga dito may pa birthday celebrant free treat din sila, at senior discount, kaya nasa 2,400 lang binayaran namin!!!

Pahabol walang bayad ang mga bagets na below 3ft. Kaya sulit talaga.

First Haircut

Special lahat ng first para sa ating mga babies at parents kaya when it's time na para magupitan na si Neo super excited at kabado dahil magmumukha na syang BOY!!!!

May iba ibang haircut na pagpipilian, ako ang namili, dahil Nanay ako. 👍👍👍

Di ko na naalam ung ibang prices dahil super excited na ko.

Sobrang galing ni ate sa pagassist samin, ask agad sya if 1st time ni baby, and nung nalaman nya na 1st time, may binigay sya na maliit na ziplock para dun ilalagay ang buhok ni Neo (sabi mg matatanda kung sino gumupit sakanya magmamana at iipit sa libro para tumalino). SYEMPRE AKO ang gumipit at nagtago sa bible.

Fast forward, rate nya is 330 very sulit at hassle free dahil worry less ka na, dahil may toys, car na upuan at tv sa harap to keep them entertained at super galing ni Kuya Rizal sa paghawak sakanya, magaan ang kamay.

Smooth ang gupit almost 30 mins, all done na, sobrang pogi na nya 🙏🙏🙏. Maganda ang experience namin sa Kids Salon. Most importantly is safe ung anak namin. Syempre malaki din ang tip para lalo ganahan sila sa pagseservice sa mga bata.

Toys R Us Babies Fair

Hello mga momshies first time to post first

i want to share with you guys our adventure for today.

It’s our first time to join sa Babies fair, sa Robinson’s Metro East ang event, so malapit lang ang place kaya sugod kami..

We arrived at the event around 3pm, kinda late dahil manaka nakang ambon, kaya urong sulong kami, actually 2nd day na sya kaya siguro di na ganun katao (Lucky for us)

To be part of the fair, you have to purchase sa Toys R Us kahit anong amount.

So dahil nagkasubuan na at sayang ang paloot bag, at mga freebies. Bumili kami ng hanger na pang bata for only 150 pesos, (sorry no picture winasak agad ni pamangkin ang mga dalahin) so after grab the opportunity na.

After registration and sign up ng coupon, pasok sa loob na, may speaker about breastfeeding actually, 1 week ko lang naranasan kay Neo to (next blog ko nalang) kaya medyo hurt pa ko sa topic na to, given a chance gusto ko talaga EBF si Neo pero God know (next entry nalang)

SO MOVE ON MUNA TAYO,

Habang nakikinig sa speaker ikot ikot din,

May pa free pita wrap ek ek si Highlands Corned Beef (masarap sya)

At ang bongga si Promil may pa games at pag sumagot may pa lootbag din (3 yrs and up kaya sa pamamgkin na namin pinasalubong)

At Syempre si Pigeon na may pa 10% discount pa each, bumili kami ng toothbrush for 1yr old and toothpaste kaya nakasave kami.

At syempre pa photobooth sila may freebie din si Great Image at itetext ka nalang if kelan mo makukuha.

Maganda sa mga ganitong fair ay di lang sa mga lootbags(yes sa una yan talaga intention ko hahah) but also mga discounts at matutunan sa speaker, actually nakinig padin ako kahit breastfeefing ang topic.

Kaya if may mga ganitong event punta tayo mga mamsh, learnings and discounts pa.

The way to tell how mature you are is by the way you treat people who can’t do anything for you. We can all be kind to the boss. He may give us a promotion. We can all be friendly to the popular person at school. If they like us, everybody will be our friend. That’s easy. But if we’re going to live the way God intends, we’ve got to learn to be good to everyone. Jesus said, “When you do good to the least of these, you’re doing it unto Me.” When you go out of your way to befriend the person that everyone shuns, Jesus said, “It’s like you’re doing it unto Me.”

Instead of rushing by the parking lot attendant you see at work each day, why don’t you take time to see how they’re doing? That person at the office that others ignore, why don’t you reach out to them and share the love of Jesus? We build the kingdom of God one life at a time. Show love, show His goodness, tell people about salvation through Christ. As you reach out and help others, just like a boomerang, that help will come right back to you, and you’ll move forward into the blessing and destiny He has prepared for you.

Prayer for Today: Father, I desire to always honor You. Help me to see the needs of the people around me. Help me to treat them the way You would treat them. Show me how to help others rise higher and sow good seeds into them in Jesus’ name. Amen.
