This is Alfred. Alfred the Easily Amused. Look close and you can see he is smiling. He is all about those kicks and giggles. Alfred finds it hilarious when he sees plastic all over his home since. He gets super bubbly when he gets to clean it up.

Spring is finally here. Life returns. The actual painting is bigger and features full body, but I decided to show a cropped version for better composition. Worked on this one throughout Easter. I will probably continue working on it some over time. I had always wanted to paint something fae related so I can hang it on the big, white, empty wall that I stare at daily.  As for the character, I don’t know who he is, but he just kind of came to life from a blank, dark-green background and things just suddenly formed around him. It was like he was like a vortex from where everything else came to existence. He definitely reminds me of that one skeptical elf that was in my dream a while back.

Can I steal your color and rendering abilities please, gosh darn it your work is GORGEOUS

Thanks! I am glad you think my rendering skills are good. I choose lighting carefully. Then I just paint in them into one layer as I would in traditional art and start off with a set of colors i pick specifically for light areas, highlights, and shadows, working from dark to light. Greyish tones make good color transitions. I also prefer software like sketchbook pro, procreate, and artrage over photoshop since they emulate real life blending with paintbrushes to a satisfactory degree.
